The final countdown!

Heya :)
I love your focus and I'm blown away with how you are so focused so soon after having your little one!!! You are totally gonna smash this :)
I struggled to do anything after I had my boy, I had a section so could bearly walk to the shops lol

I'm naturally lazy too and sooooooooooo hate housework!!!!
When I first lost weight with this forum I turned into a fitness freak and started running (I even did a half marathon!!!!!) but now I do nothing.......I really need to change that!!!!!!

Looking forward to following you on your amazing journey :)
Oh, and congrats on your little bundle of joy :)

Xoxo

Hi Nostalgic, weigh-in was worse than I thought it would be. I have not weighed this much for a year. Once the weight starts going on me it snowballs so I must stop it immediately! I'm not sure of the physiology of it, but I know that it happens. It comes off VERY slowly & I can maintain fairly easily but when I slip back into being lazy then WHAMMO!
Hey, what a pity we're not about to visit Paris. I would love to babysit! Hope you find one. You need to adopt a grandma! Cheers, Cate

Hello Nostalgic, Good luck on the new journey.

I can't provide a meaningful or useful advice, so i post here to provide moral support.

Just keep doing the right changes and you should be fine.

I wish you a better luck than mine, a good start and the strength to maintain the weight once you lose it! :)

I seemed to have dropped another kg over night? I weighed in at 88.1 kg (194.22 lbs)
I'm still eating the same but just cut out the treats I was eating while pregnant. I am expecting the first 10 kg to drop quickly but 2 kgs in two days??
I'm not sure if this is normal or not. After Lucien I lost my first 9 kgs in 4.5 months. Here are the stats from that weight loss project

Maybe it will slow down and it's just because I gave birth so recently or because I have so much to lose that the first kgs are just falling off without to much effort?

Kate
Thanks, I do feel more focused than last time. I think this time it comes down to wanting to get back into pole as quickly as possible as I really missed it. The lighter I am the easier it is to lift my weight on the bar. But on the positive when I start the extra weight will help me gain strength until I lose it.
Yep, I've never been a fan of housework, why put things in the wardrobe when you have a perfectly good floordrobe! :D

Half a marathon, that's amazing. It takes a lot of stamina to run that long.

Cate
I know you can lose it! Do you think not doing weigh ins was what made you slip? Your re focus will help you. Stick to it.
Lol, yes I need to adopt a grandma for the summers. During winter hubby's parents are around but summer they are miles away in their summer home.
We are going to look into child care other than the creche, apparently through the town hall you can get 16 hours a month of child care to help out at a low cost. This might allow us a night out or an afternoon out together regularly.

Thanks, I need all the support I can get lol. I might seem determined and stick to it but it takes a huge amount of will power on my part.
You can achieve your goals, I know you can!

I think it is normal to drop weight fast after birth, often one has had a lot of water retention while pregnant, and body probably spends lots of calories getting back to normal and getting milk production started.
Nice work cutting out the treats.

Well as far as the pregnancy and subsequent weight loss I can't offer any advice (males, useless creatures :D )
But take the loss and keep it going, doing great!

Thanks Clarissa, I feel a bit better after your post. I'm sure it will even out. I just want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Thanks Guideon, take the loss :D yay 2 kgs gone. As for males, lol my favorite "emotional hormonal" phrase while pregnant was "you're a man, you will never understand"
The sweetie just looked at me and replied "I know, your doing fine, just relax, I can go get you some chocolate?"

Oh... And I had a great sleep last night. Hubby took care of Owen as I was so exhausted. He had to get up early for work so I really appreciated him doing last night. I needed it.

Hi there :)

First, congrats on the new baby! What an exciting time in your life! How wonderful.

Second, wow. We have a lot in common. I was in quite a bad relationship myself when I began gaining all of this weight. Now that I have met my current bf, I finally feel capable of losing those pounds.

Also, I love your methods! I am a very visual person myself...I may have to steal your graph idea. Seeing the decline would probably be very motivating.

Hope you are well!

Camila

Thanks, yes little Owen is just amazing. He's really calm and just so cute.

I'm glad you got out of the bad relationship like I did. I wanted to leave earlier than I did but was afraid of hurting him :-/ sometimes logic just doesn't enter the brain right lol.
At least we moved on, some woman stay in these relationships forever and it's so sad.

I am loving my wall graph. It's on my wall in A1 format so pretty huge.
It has daily log at the bottom and I add a mark weekly on the graph. It also shows what BMI section I'm in.... Obese, over weight, perfect weight.

One hour walk with Owen today. It was a struggle near the end.

My first 20 euros has gone in my money box for the 2 kgs that have gone :D
But at this rate, I can't afford 10 euros a day :-/

I've decided I won't start pelvic floor until I see my gyno on Monday and she gives the ok. I made an appointment because I have a bit of abdominal pain on my right side if I lay on that side. It's enough pain to have me concerned but not crying plus its like I am having my monthly cycle and this should have eased of by now.

Well I finally got around to catching up on your diary. Congratulations on baby Owen and the quick loss so far. Nice work on getting the exercise and the sleep in. I don't know how people do anything with a baby to care for. I really like the wall graph too. I need to find a place. I do a spreadsheet, but I only see it on the computer. I think I will make one for the bedroom wall so I see it first thing each morning.

Thanks,
It makes it easier when hubby shares the tasks like feeding and changing etc and that he's a calm baby.

It would be great if you could load docs on here, that way I could share the graph and people who wanted it just need to adapt it a little to fit them.

I have it on my bedroom wall and see it first thing, it's a great reminder for the start of my day.

You are very focused. I admire that. I didn't start focusing on health and weight until baby was 2months. Good for you. remember not to overdo it too much in the first 6 weeks, i'm sure you know :)

Thanks angel. I will take it easy, I wont start any intense sports till the kini doctor gives the ok. It can cause major issues if you start ab work etc too soon. I didn't know this and started to early last time but stopped once she told me to.

Today I went for an hour walk, still got my pedometer on so I will update steps later but I don't think I reached my goal :( I think I was more active in the flat yesterday.

I did drink loads more today. 2.5 ltr or water

Ate well and said NO when I walked past the chocolate section at the supermarket.

Congratulations on your newborn :) I wish him health!

Well done on the weightloss so far, and money saved. A very good idea! Keep up the good work.
