not a bad day once agai. cals a bit low. dunno how. i have been eating all day. might be summat to do with waking up late hmmm. anyway i will make up for it later in the week ;).

i bought a new scale today and it says i weigh 163lbs. that is 7lbs more than my old one. i have had the old one all my life and the new one is electronic and all and i tried it afew times and it was accurate so i dunno how there can be 7lbs difference between 2 scales. i dunno which one is correct. i mean 7lbs is a lot of weight. its the difference between me being normal and overweight. hmm. anyway i am going by my old one for now until i visit the docs and see what they weigh me as. and then go from there.

This happened to me a-n-g-e-l!! The scale, new scale is probably accurate. I am sorry hun, but my spring scale showed me ten pounds less than the new electronic. Electronic is more accurate, right down to the ozs. So it is accurate. And if the doc has a spring scale, don't trust it. Because spring scales are not accurate. Electronic is better. Don't worry too much about this. You will lose, I mean, you take a one hour or more walk a day!! Thats way more than me! You are doing it girl! no worries, it is just a number. If you are noticing inches coming off, than you are on the downward slope! So no worries, don't let this get you down, just keep trecking ..

I think that Boots the chemist has recently been kitted out with scales that produce all sorts of statistics. I would imagine that trading standards would insist that they were pretty accurate. I would go there and get weighed. I think that it costs about £1. Then head straight home and get weighed wearing the same clothes. The one that gives the closest is the one to trust and vary it by the difference. My doctor's scale is analogue and useless and my home one is digital. the doctor's one thinks that I weigh less - but I would rather go by my own.

I remember that I weighed a 2.5 lb hand weight when I first got my new scales just to check up on it. It is hard to feel that you can trust the number that you see.

i did check the scale with the weights today and they were both accurate and then mom weighed herself and they were still the same. i weigh myself and theres a difference.a likle wierd so i am gonna weigh myself at boots and then check myself at home. otherwise i'm sticking to the old one for now. i'm pretty sure its not accurate and the electronic will be more accurate but until i am sure i will continue on the old one.

i weighed at 155 today. at my old low. so anything below that will be a new low for me. can't wait!! seems like i will be closer to the 140s once i get below 155. not to mention the 154...

yesterday i did end up having 1500 cals. had a likle cake before bed. so my cals weren't that low. today they are at 1500 as well so not bad. i will update the table soon. i didnt get any excercise though today but i did clean the upstairs of the house which took over an hour and a lot of sweating..hehe.

mom has got this new excercise dvd which she swears is great. really fast paced and good for the legs. might try that tomorrow. seems like i am slowly getting the whole family into the healthy lifestyle business. hardle a day goes by when no ones used the gym room. even the cuppboards in the kitchen seem to be getting healthier!!

That scale thing is annoying! I bought a new scale several months ago, but I never use it b/c it says I weight about 1.7lbs more than my other one. :D I say stick to the current one--it's better for your mental attitude. :)

1.7lb is one thing 7lb is another! the annoying thing is mum gets the same on both and she only weighs about 7lbs less then me on the old scale. so i will wait until i get smaller and thenweigh myself on both and see. for now i like the old one (great for the mental attitude hehe). i like that!

now off to do some much needed excercise!

just done 2 hours of excercise!! woohoo lol!

i did a 30mins body workout:

Bench press - 20kg - 15,12,8 reps
Dumbell Rows - 9.2kg - 15, 12, 10 reps
Split Squats - 15, 12, 10
overhead dumbell press - 9kg - 15, 12, 10
Shrugbacks - 9.2kg - 50, 50, 50

and then i did the Nell McAndrew Peak Energy workout which my mum has been raving about. that was 90 mins!!! its quite good actually.it really pushed me. there are some reviews here if anyones interested:



so far a good day as long as i keep my calories and water in check

I have hardly done any recently (oops) I might have to try that Nell Mcandrew thing myself!

thanx sweety i didn't even realise and the 2 hours were over. the dvd is good but it does push you. i had to stop and have a couple of breaks and just march on the spot. but it is really good. its a guy doing it and he is quite army like. she just stands on the side and copies him sort off.

let me know how it goes if you decide to try it.

I could do it in a predominantly Muslim country where everyone else was dressed that way, but I don't think I could deal with the attention it would draw in Britain or the U.S.--especially with the terrorism issues both countries have had recently, I would guess you often get negative looks, etc. So I admire your strength of character to stand by what you believe in when it might not be so easy. :hug2:

I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep on doing what you have been. Your measurements matter more than the number on the scale anyway. That's what you want to work towards. :)

thanx hon! well if i go by the new scale its 162 so not ver good at all! the area i live in is predominitley muslim so its not tooo bad but i have had my fair share of comments and looks. terrorism issued affected it massively but to be fair i didn't wear the whole thinguntil a couple of years after 9/11 so i can't compare. its wierd though how people will think all muslims are terrorist just because of one or 2 people on the media. i mean there are pedophiles living among us but no one looks at each person and thinks oooh might be a pedo save the kids. lol!

I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep on doing what you have been. Your measurements matter more than the number on the scale anyway. That's what you want to work towards. :)

aaahhh true true. you reminded me about measures due on saturday. i don't think i have lost anything this month with my bad eating and excercise habits but we shall see.

not a bad day. once i started excercising i kept going but i'm sure i will feel it tomorrow!! 1800 calories. what was i thinking! its that pizza! hmm but i think i could have burnt it off earlier with the 2 hour workout. just keep going in circles. lets hope i see a good number on the scale on saturday.

back at uni on tuesday. got some work to do tonight and every other night till the next hols at easter! its going to be like a roller coaster till June now! wish me luck!

There is another Muslim girl on here-Rena aka yahusein. She lives in Pittsburgh and also wears hijab, and I know she faces similar everyone-looks-at-you-like-you're-a-terrorist issues. The sad part is that a few extremists make it hard for everyone else.

So now that you're going to be busy with school again does that mean my Angelic One isn't going to be around here as much? :(

yeh true. but then again most people have had bad looks and that through life. as people we are so critical. people get looks for they ay they look, their hairstyle, the clothes, the way they walk, their weight!!! teh list goes on. we are never going to please everyone..so might aswell carry on as we are...:D

nah not yet. uni doesn't take taht much time. most of the week i am at home. its when i am teaching that i don't seem to have a life. but thats not till end of april so got loads of time yet.
