The Diary of a Sinner

I bought something, and honestly...I didn't want to buy it. I bought it anyway. Ultimately, it was probably the best decision I've made thus far. Now I just have to convince my body of this logic.

A treadmill. Not just any treadmill, but one that guarantees a new body. Not the best one on the market, just a proform, but still a treadmill. I've been killing myself on that Tony Little gazelle the past few days. It's a piece of shit. My knees hurt, and the only thing I've lost is my ability to look at exercise equipment the same way again. I'm hoping this treadmill will greet me at least once a day with an invitation to use it.
I've been real sensible about me meals. Seriously, I never thought I'd do this well. With every 2000 diets and exercise regimens I've tried before, I was never so successful in the beginning. I don't know if I've lost a single pound yet, but I feel better about myself right now than I've felt in a long time. This, is most definitely a good sign.

Feeling better about yourself is a great place to start...

Don't kill yourself immediately - start slow and work up to where you want to be... you didn't get where you are overnight, it's not going to be fixed overnight.. Pace yourself, lady... :D

You're doing great!

My husband, baby and I just completed my second 3 mile walk! Man, this feels good! I actually LOVE walking. I chat it up with the neighbors too because they walk often as well. Now...on to this treadmill thing.

Breakfast
1/2 cup lowfat cottage cheese with 1 tsp. apple butter

Lunch
1 can tuna
1 6 oz. yogurt

Dinner
1 boneless skinless chicken breast baked
1 cup green beans
small side salad- no dressing

Hi Samantha,

You are doing so good. I love your enthusiasm. I thought that Tony Little thing looked like a "piece of shit"--most of that TV exercise equipment looks that way. I see you are eating a bit more too! That's good. You had me a little worried in the beginning of your diary. Don't do anything that you won't be able to keep up as you will just gain all the weight back when you stop doing it. Be patient with yourself. I love that you are chatting it up with the neighbors and your husband is walking with you. Maybe when he is on the road, one of your neighbors would like to join you on your walks.

Anyway...just wanted to say hi and tell you what a great job you are doing.

Hey Sam,

I am extremely proud of you. I just walked my first 3 miles today and I had to work myself up to it. I have to say that it is a big accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself. It's really great that you are involving your family. That is the best.

You've been eating a bit more too, so that is another *high five*!! Keep it up and you'll reach your goals in no time!:D

I know it's been a while, so I hope I haven't been forgotten. I need a little bit of help. I need to know how I can update my ticker, because I no longer need to lose 95 lbs! I started out at 215 and am down to 181lbs! So, who's gonna help me change my ticker!!! :D

you go girl.. that's awesome...

go back to and recreate yourself a new ticker... and then paste it into your signature... :D

34 lbs is friggin' huge girl !! share your secrets with us, we can never get enough 411 on good results.

Congrats :)

Thanks everyone!

As for sharing my good fortune Randy....well

Here is what an average day is like for me

I get up at 5:30 am every day. I have a low fat fruit smoothie and a banana before I do ANYTHING else! Next, I jog (or try to) and walk 3 miles.

I get back home and get my daughter off to school.

I spend my days cleaning, and playing with my baby. I purchased a real nice jogging stroller, so I can take my baby for walks through the day as well as the dog. That accounts for probably another mile at least.

I make lunch. usually a turkey or chicken wrap. I always eat FRESH fruit, never the canned stuff as well. I drink ONLY water. NO SODA, so it's been over two months since I've had any.

In the late afternoon I get my daughter off the school bus. We cook dinner together because I want her to be informed. I want her to start out eating right, so she won't have to go through what mommy is going through to be fit and healthy. We use her school lunch menu as a guide most of the time. She gets to pick one healthy item to prepare every day. She is really enjoying the cooking part! We get a main dish (which is never anything fried) a side and a fruit for desert.

After I do the dishes and clean up, my husband watches the girls, and I go get my neighbor that walks with me in the evenings. We walk (jog some) an additional 3-5 miles from what I've already walked in the a.m I know this sounds insane but I try for at least an 8 mile walk/jog daily. I have never felt better. I know 34 pounds is a lot less that most of you have lost, but it's the biggest accomplishment of my life! I've dropped to a size 14 in jeans, which I feel I look AMAZING in, compaired to those 18's I was in. I get compliments from people who haven't seen me in a long time. This is what gives me the drive to keep going!

thanks for giving us your routine, samantha. you are so disciplined, no wonder you are doing so well-congratulations again, you also sound like a different person, so much happier :)

Congrats on kickin' the kola.

I have mad respect for your ethic on teaching your child to eat well.

*does the "we're not worthy, we're not worthy" bow* to you.
