The cocoon of AnneMouse

ok so it turns out I really couldn't wait for next week to do pics

also, next week I'm going to start photographing in my old bikini again, you can see anything past these pants.

Wow! clearly visible difference in just a week! Congratulations! (and I can see this means I'll be in that hallway on my own. ;) I'll have to learn to play solitaire.)

Naw, I'll hangout outside, it seems it's kinda dead in there at the mo'

thanks guys, the support here really means a lot.

Ergh, I didn't workout yesterday

between the cold, being a little drained from monday, not getting enough sleep, having too much work to do......blah blah blah blah, it's sooo easy to find all the excuses that stopped me from doing it, but that's exactly the issue, none of them should have stopped me, my goal is more important to me than any of those issues should have been,

gah

work releases me around 7:30 tonight, and I am gonna hit the gym hard, psyching myself toward it all day so I have ALL the motivation by then.

worked like a crazy person in the gym last night, walked/ran for an hour, did my heaviest weight circuit ever and finished off with one of the biggest loser 25 min workouts (the low impact one, not entirely crazy)

this morning I woke up in happy agony, I don't have the stamina for a repeat performance today, but intend to do it again tomorrow morning.

didn't eat that well today, stocked up the house on the usual suspects for the family coming home on Sat and ended up sampling it all. mint toffees are my gateway drug apparently.

I was just going through my folder of thinspirational pictures, and I realized something worth making a note of: I like my body's shape I see a lot of people in the same weight range as where I am now, some of them even taller than I am that don't seem to carry it as well as I do, even at my heaviest, my waist is clearly still visible, it's probably a large part of why I've let it slip as much as I have, I don't seem to be as obese as I actually am, even when my gp did a "bmi skewed for bonestructure" test, didn't believe the results at first, and asked me where I keeping it all.

my body shape is an hourglass with a persistent waist, and that's something to be grateful for.

also, my body proportions favour my legs, so even though I'm fairly short at barely 5' 1" my legs don't seem short at all, it does make buying tops a bit of a mission, especially since I try to accent my waist. :/

things I don't like about my body:

the extra layer of body blubber I'm currently wearing(that's why I'm here)

my calves, I've been genetically gifted with large rugby balls where my calves should be, it's not even fat, it's muscle, I can't wear knee high boots because I've never found a pair that can fit over these monsters, can never wear skinny jeans- have to wear bootlegs usually just to not have extra tightness

*end of statement rant/realization skrawlings*

 re: the calves. mine too! I've nevernevernever been able to wear boots (wellingtons/galoshes/gumboots don't count).

And I don't think however much weight I lose I'll ever be tall and elegant. (sigh).

But back to you -- the gym workout sounds very impressive, and should have skated you past a mint toffee or two, no worries! Yay! :hurray:

AI totally understand where your coming from as far as clothes go I am also short at 5'2 and also find it imposible to find boots to fit.

+3 for the rugby calves club then! :p

woke up with an intense earache from my jaw to the top of my skull this morning, The cold I've been battling to shake for the last 3 weeks has apparently opted for camping out there.

didn't manage my whole workout before breaking and going to the doc instead.

walked/jogged for an hour : 5.75 km (treadmill at 6% incline, otherwise it makes the most hideous sound :p)

Bench pressed 6sets of 15kgsx20reps

Barbell bridged the same ( I would never do this in a public gym... this is just because I have free weights at home)

bent rowed the same -1 set

tricep dips 3x 11 reps

side raises 4 sets of 4kgs each side x 20reps

barbell curled 4 sets of 15kgsx 15 reps

reverse crunches 1 set of 20

so pretty much only my upper body before the pain became too much, tomorrow I'll just have to put a little more focus towards my legs and abs tomorrow

weighted squats, slide or walking lunges, deadlifts( I prefer romanian deadlifts,) oblique crunches, side bends and bicycles are what today's workout is still missing

I'm not weight training to build muscle, mostly just using it as an extended form of cardio with a few sculptoral benefits, my other workout routine has a round of hiit style cardio every 4 sets so my heartrate doesn't get to drop as I focus on the muscles.

ate badly today, as in, didn't eat at all in the morning when the pain was making me nauseas, had about 50grams of cottage cheese when I had my antibiotics and then proceeded to mostly sleep it off..., now it's a bit late in the day to consider food. This also means I'll be working this weekend to make my monday deadline. meh

Thanx guys, it really means a lot to me

two potential game changes happening today

1 picking up the family from the airport, my house(and kitchen) no longer my own

2 new contract may land, today-tuesday, if so I'll be starting to pull triple duty work wise pushing me back to around 16-18 hours a day, I don't know how much time I can get in the gym when I may not have enough time to sleep. my routines are invariable over an hour and a half at the moment and I really don't want to cut back there.this contract expected to be about 2 months, so I'll need to solve this quickly if I don't want to go crazy

like I said, I'm pushing as hard as I can before my body catches on to what I'm up to.

2 days in a row of not eating much of anything, only made it to about 500 calories yesterday and just didn't have the stamina to workout properly this morning, now that the pain is under control and I should be have a more "normal" day hoping to get it back up between 1200 and 1450, so proper hour long walk run scheduled tomorrow morning.

my scales battery has died, so I may not get a proper weigh in tomorrow before heading out to get a new one.

walked 15 mins, for 1.48 kms

benched 6x15kgsx20reps

Barbell Glute Bridges 6X15kgsx20

Barbell squats: 4 x15kgsx20 repsa

oblique crunches: 2 sets of 20 reps (these are awesome, your leg makes the resistance for you so it's like crunching against a machine)

Romanian deadlifts: 5 x 15kgs x18reps
