made some homemade hummus today, yum! I like making it myself for 2 reasons, 1; you know exactly what's in it and can exclude the salt or any preservatives, 2; I like to make it chunky by just mashing it with a fork instead of using a food processor.
Had a nice surprise today while getting dressed, first while putting on my bra, I hooked it and it didn't feel tight, rehooked it on the smallest. my first thought was that something had happened to it like losing an elastic or seam, then I realised it 's actually just because I'm a little bit smaller than I'm used to. Then while tightening my belt( I used to use my belt to reign in the belly and hips, and am used to wearing it pretty tight) used the same notch as before but it felt like I was one larger. *boogies* I really wasn't expecting to get any tangible result there yet.
This is making me really keen for picture day next week
My family(Parents and brother) are coming back from Europe this weekend coming. They've been away for 3 months.
the good: a lot of the extra jobs I've had to do around here will become their issue again, like dealing with tenants, plumbing and generally everything, our home is something between suburb living and farm life, with 4.5 acres of lawn to mow, I'll be glad to get extra energy back to focus on myself again.
the bad: the kitchen will no longer be my own, there'll be more baking going on, and a family meal everyday which I may or may not even be able to measure, I'm not sure yet how I'm going to work around this, the thought did occur to me to just volunteer to cook for everyone everyday, but yeah, see above, I want that time.
