The big oak (Quercus) needs to drop some dead limbs!

I feel a bit better already. I'm hoping the antibiotics work quickly.

I ate a late snack last night which put me over calories by quite a bit. I really felt hungry and I wasn't feeling good. I rationalized that I probably needed the food because I felt bad. I don't know if there is any truth to that or if it was just a rationalization, but I went over. I'll try to come in under today to even things out.

I didn't weigh this morning because if it was up I'd feel bad and if I was down I'd feel like I could get away with going over calories.

I have to say Quercus, you seem like an interesting chap. The number of people who eat both squirrel and tofu has to be exceedingly small. That's quite an epicurean palate.

Hope the antibiotics do the trick.

I'm pleased that you are taking those antibiotics... With luck they will clear things up super quick... Then I can nag you again...

In the meantime - just take care of you.

There is no need to weigh yourself... I know that Korrie has posted that she is not weighing herself for the challenge this week.

We've had a major shift in temperatures here, and my sinuses are are acting up too. I was pretty sure there was an alien drilling a hole through my face yesterday. It was lovely. lol! I hope the antibiotics work for you. Sinus infections are horrible. I had one last year that was so bad, I would of rather went through natural childbirth again instead. haha! Feel better!

Thanks everybody. I think they will do the trick. They aren't being friendly to my stomach though.

Omega, I will weigh on Friday, I just thought it best to skip this morning. I'll be down, I'm just not sure how much without the exercise. I will see how I feel tonight. I might get on the bike if I feel up to it.

MrVee, I wanted to say that I really like your weight modelling spreadsheet. I bricked my laptop at home, so I'm in the process of fixing it up so I can use your spreadsheet which is a bit more complicated with Linux, but I hope to have it up this evening. Open Office Calc did not like your spreadsheet and I'll need to install an app to emulate windows so I can install office 2010 which should do the trick. Also, I should come up with a recipe that uses squirrel and tofu together. Squirrelfu salad sandwich anyone?

(mouth starts moving).............Your tiger style kung fu is strong, but it's no match for my squirrelfu!............(mouth stops moving)

Got my hour of exercise tonight. I spent 40 minutes securing a dead tree with 100' of chain and two come alongs. I got pretty sweaty despite it being in the 30s out. I rode my bike for the other 20 minutes. I'm pretty beat as I'm still not 100%, but I'm defintley feeling much better than earlier this week. Right on target for calories. i should have came in under, but oh well.

Glad to hear you're feeling a little better.

Good work on getting in some exercise also! Who needs a gym to get a workout in ;)

Thanks Syn!

I'm feeling much better today. I worked in the field for a couple hours today, but it was easy stuff.

I've not had an appetite today and I'm considering a fast. I feel fine, I just haven't felt like eating. It's likely the antibiotics and I'll eat a bit if I start feeling poorly, but I wouldn't mind the boost in weightloss for tomorrows weigh-in. I am still at 333.4 this morning so I may be due for a drop anyway.

All right, I fasted for 24 hours and then had a light dinner of tofu pho. I was going to fast until after weigh-in tomorrow, but I was feeling terrible and I knew I wouldn't get my exercise in feeling that rough. So a grand total 3 hundred and someting calories and an hour on the spin bike.

I wasn't sweating or breathing too hard at the half hour mark so I sped up to a sprint and I was sweating a lot, but I still wasn't breathing too hard. I upped the resistance and kept sprinting until I really got the heartrate going and then I backed off, but kept the speed high for the rest of the hour. I've not had energy and endurane like that in forever. Yeah me!

Way to go on the exercise! I've been doing some HIIT cycling like that (push hard, then pull back in intervals) and have really liked the results. My heart rate is higher, but stable and I get a great workout out of it.

Thanks Don! I'm really focusing on the stationary bike because my reward for losing the first 50 pounds and getting below 300 is a new bike.

330.0 this morning. This makes me happy! This means with a little effort I'll be in the 320s and past the 20 pounds lost mark this weekend.

Wow you are doing fab with your exercises. I should get my butt in gear and get on that treadmill. Gud luck on your 20pounds mark - I'm sure you'll do it

Thanks Mands! I feel like the diet has more to do with fat loss, but the exercise has more to do with feeling good and being healthier regardless of where your weight is. The toughest part is getting started. Start slow and easy and make it a habit. You'll be glad you did.

I've set a personal goal for myself. The next time the weightloss stalls or rebounds or I overeat or miss exercise I will respond in a positive and productive manner. I need to work on not letting setbacks phase me. I am impatient and that's a fault in healthy weightloss. Patience and positivity are my next goals in this journey.

So here is my data so far just tracking from my contest start on 1/11/13. I have a better tracking system now thanks to MrVee, but I haven't messed with my computer at home to set it up.

In under calories, had my 2 veggies and 2 fruits for contest points and got my hour of exercise outside doing yardwork, partly in the dark.

No, I did a lot of different things outside, so it's "yardwork". Cut some limbs, raked some leaves, picked up some dead branches, that sort of thing.
