Tigs, all you need to do now is master the art of cross-stitching WHILST running!! You could do it all day long!
Hey! I'm all about multi-tasking! I've tried to figure out what I can do while I run to make extra use of the time since I spend so much doing it lately. I tried reading while running, but all that did was make me dizzy and nearly fall off the treadmill! So instead I watch some of my favorite TV series on DVD while I run. Now I just wonder if it's possible to get electrocuted from head phones if they get wet enough from sweating on them?
There's like this crunch point - when you can run say 8 mins or so...then one day just keep going until 12 mins...then 15...then 20...and suddenly you are a runny person!!!
I noticed that same crunch point too! The first 10 minutes or so I thought I was going to die and wanted to quit. But it seems like if I pushed myself past that, then I could keep going pretty far without too much effort and even thought a time or 2 that hey, this running thing isn't so bad! It took me probably a month and a half to 2 months to get to the point where those first 10 minutes weren't so hard. Now if I had unlimited time I don't know how far I could go - feels like I could just keep going and going and going. Maybe one of these weekends I'll just get on the old treadmill and start running and see how long I can really go?
Of course I'm not winning any speed races at all there either. Just a nice steady pace, but it gets my heart pumping and makes me feel super great!
On that note - I fully intend to skip running tonight. I lifted weights last night and think I overdid it a bit. I can hardly move today. Tomorrow is supposed to be my rest day, but I think I'm going to swap them around to give my muscles time to recouperate. Plus we had a 4-H meeting tonight, so I wouldn't really have time to run tonight. Tomorrow I have to be home early because hubby is starting on a new dart league, so I'll need to be home with the kids. That'll give me plenty of time for a nice run while the kids watch a movie or something.
OH! Almost forgot! I stepped on the scale this morning and got to see another new number! 138.6 baby! I did my measurements as well, but there wasn't a whole lot of difference from the last time I measured myself - so I won't bother re-posting the numbers.
I'm going to hobble up to bed now since I have to be up early tomorrow to drive up to the city for work. It's gonna be a long day full of big meetings and such.
Hope all you 'losers' out there have a great day/night where ever you are!!!
It's been a LONG time since that's happened. I know those pictures are of me, but I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that I look like I do in those recent shots. In my mind I'm still the woman in the before pictures most of the time I think.
... hee hee sorry again, I barely know you... don't ban me, I'm really not a bad guy...
Which is probably why I'm married to a man 12 years older than myself.
That's all I need, right?
