SweatPea is going to sweat it all off...

Thanks gals!

I did have an ok time. It was a bit boring. Not much to do, and NO internet!! So I was very stir crazy. :willy_nilly:

We had a very good drive. I took my time going, but beat the clock coming home. I don't know why, but I just didn't want to be on the road any longer than I had to. If we didn't stop for a bite to eat it's just about a 5 hr drive.

My mom had surgery to remove a tumor from her breast. This was in Feb. And now she's going thru chemo. She's got really long hair and she's losing it all. :( I wanted to take her to get her hair cut so that she didn't have to mess with it as much, but she didn't want to. She didn't say no, but she didn't jump at the chance either. She said I could cut her hair, but I declined as I have no talent. She is doing well given the circumstances, but I'm sure she is super bored. Her neighborhood doesn't have much to do with out driving and atm she has no car.

I did manage to get in some exercise. Friday I got in 60 min. of swimming and this morning 40 min. (my youngest son wanted one last swim in.) :)

Exercise total for 3rd part of challenge: 100 min. (1hr 40 min.)

Well I need to get back into the swing of things. My weight was up this morning (I knew it would be since I ate out most meals.) And I know it will all come back off soon. I just need to make sure to be in full-gear so that I don't mess up the ARC.

Off to take my shower ... have a dental appt this morning.

Ciao - :waving:

Glad the visit went well.
So are you on Spring Break this week?
If so give me a holler and we can try to get together.
Have fun at the dentist! Yuck!! LOL

Sorry to hear about your Mom- I know how hard it is to watch a loved one go thru so much difficulty. I'm sure she's glad to have you in her life.

Gratz on getting in your exercise. Don't worry too much about the gain- just get back on track with the eating, and it will all fall back into place.

Just got finished with my exercise tonight.

50 min. on the elliptical (3.74 miles, 435.6 cals, 6956 strides) and 36 min. on the treadmill (1.94 miles, 198 cals.) + 5 min. stretching.

Exercise total for 3rd part of challenge: 191 min. (3hr 11 min.)

Hey- Glad you had a good time at your mom's place. I'm sorry to hear that she has cancer. It has to be terrifying to have no control over your body. Looks like you're trucking along with the exercise. I wouldn't worry about the eating out... I usually don't stick to any eating plan on the weekends, and last weekend I ate lots of cream cheese icing and buttered italian bread:) Also this week I'm screwing around with my macros so either it's going to be a good weigh in, or a bad one:) Happy Monday!

BG - it seems no matter what I do if I don't stick to some sort of plan then my weight loss just doesn't happen. Good luck with your macros. ;)

I wasn't around yesterday. I had planned a day at the mall (hair, shopping, etc.) But as I was driving to the mall, dh called and asked if I wanted to go to a basketball game with him - which is like 3 hrs away. I knew he was going but I guess they had some leftover tickets. And they got a "suite" since it was for a business thing. So I thought why not.

I got done with my hair, shopped only for about 20 min., and then waited for my car (oh yeah I also decided to get the oil changed and tires rotated - but of course that was before the basketball idea.) It seemed to take forever to be picked up from the mall. I guess the driver was waiting at the other door - even though I said "main entrance to JCPenney". Finally he showed up, I went to pick up my car and had to wait for the porter. He was an older gentleman that took his sweet time - think of "Driving miss Daisy". :D

So finally got my car - I think I requested it be ready and done by 12:30 and it was 1:20 before I even left the car lot.

Well as I had my day planned out differently, I had also brought along my 3 mo. membership certificate to the Y to stop and take care of on the way home. But that wasn't going to happen with the change of plans. I look over at the passenger seat and it was GONE! It's laminated so it wasn't like it would've just accidentally blown away or something like that - or that they might have mistaken it for something else. Anyway, I pulled over and searched the whole car - under the seats and everything.

I call the dealership back and the guy was like, "did you check under the seats?" Uh, der....like I wouldn't have.

I'm very upset by now thinking that someone swiped it. The guy tells me nobody would've gotten into the passenger seat - it was only the driver's side. So, I broke down - I get emotional once in awhile when I'm angry and such. I tell him so I guess it's just lost? I had the cracking voice and everything (the tears he couldn't see of course.) Finally he says he will look around for it and takes my number.

I am driving home still - cause I am already late for the time dh wanted to leave to go south to the game (plus he had to pick up a client.) About 10 min. had past since the phone call, I figured it was a lost cause by now.

He calls back and says they found it on the garage floor...hmm? I wonder how it managed to make it's way off of my passenger seat and onto the floor. Anyway, I ask him to mail it to me. I guess my point in posting this is, I am not going to be able to sign up my gym membership as of yet. :( I don't think I'll go back to that dealership either because at first he tried to talk me out of getting my car aligned and it was totally out of alignment - he tried to tell me the "roads are curved" and that's why my vehicle would coast to one side or the other. I was like ok, but the steering wheel is off too - so you might want to check into it. I think he wanted $$ for it and since it's still under 12,000 it's under warranty.

Anywho -- the basketball game was a lot of fun. I've never been to an NBA game, heck I'm not sure I ever went to a high school bball game - but I have coached little kids. :D Now I understand it's all about defense - and fouling - but we don't allow fouling in our little kid's league.

Also we got to sit in an overpriced suite and got to have some over-priced veggies, wings, and chicken tenders.

The only exercise I got in yesterday was walking in the mall waiting for the salon to open - that was about 10 min. and I walked pretty fast up and around and such. Then, walking in the car garage and through the stadium, down about 3 flights of stairs, so that could all count for 5 min. more.

Other than that ... zilch. :( My food was ok too - as I barely ate. I didn't want the wings (too messy and I'm not a big fan of trying so hard for so little protein.) I did have two tenders and some veggies though. I so wanted a big ol' cheeseburger though. I was good and I'm ok with that.

Today I'm going to go exercise this morning, get some staining of windows and doors done, then exercise some more this evening. Hoping for at least 2 hrs to make up for yesterday.

Exercise total for 3rd part of challenge: 196 min. (3hr 26 min.)

Well, glad ya found your membership card, even if it cost yas some stress- not finding it would have cost even more stress.

It's great you decided to go to the game- its those little unplanned times with family that are really special.

Sometimes I think car places try to take advantage of women- I guess I'm lucky my hubby is a mechanic and he takes care of most of the car schtuff.

I'm glad everything worked out.

Oh and I forgot to mention that when I stopped to look for it and after I was done looking, I was backing out and another car almost backed into me! It was a small parking lot, not a lot going on, you'd think they would've been a little more attentive. I had to honk my horn so they would stop.

My dh can take care of any computer problem, but when it comes to cars it's a whole new league. I'm just glad that I didn't fall for their crap. I won't be taking my car back there for service either.

I'm glad everything worked out.

Thanks for stopping by. I love the dog in your avatar. Is it yours? My MIL used to have a dog just like that. Her name was Pepper.

The dog in the avatar is the only Australian Shepherd they had to choose from. They come in many different coats- that one pictured is a blue merle . . but there is red merle too, as well as red, and a black.

My dog looks like the one in this link. His name is Finnegan.

Awe. I love dogs of all types! I guess yesterday my own dog didn't like what the groomer was doing and nipped her. :( I hope it's ok because she acted a little weird about it.

Yesterday's exercise: 60 min. treadmill, 3.5 miles, 346 cals. + 50 min. toning exercises and on the total trainer

Exercise total for 3rd part of challenge: 306min. (5hr 6 min.)

If I could count the hours I've spent (and will spend) staining windows and a door, I'd be over the roof with the exercise min!

Today's agenda is: breakfast, workout, stain, shower, take dog to vet (he needs booster shots and I just want to make sure everything is ok since he "bit" the groomer yesterday.), home for dinner, another workout (hopefully) and relax...whew! I will need another break next week to recover from "spring break".

Hey Sweetpea... good job on the working out!!! We're so awesome with this challenge thing... I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again... the ARC is totally what has me in my working out groove. I just keep you and Angel in the back of my mind when I don't want to go to the gym or I want to finish off the entire carrot cake after dinner... :)

And I wouldn't be too worried about your dog nipping the groomer... I'm actually surprised that dogs don't do that more often. If someone held me down to bath me and then cut my hair, I'd be doing a hell of a lot more than nipping, that's for sure! Also make sure he/she doesn't have any nicks... we had an incident with a groomer and my grandmother's dog. The woman raised a fit that Herbie nipped her until we found two nicks on his side and realized he probably bit her when she accidentally cut him with the shaver.

Awesome exercise routine! I plan to increase mine too, but just "restarting" and doing 30 min 3x a week for now, and will build up from there.

I need to get my dog in for his boosters too. He just turned 3 in March. What kind of doggie do ya have?

Hi BG - yeah he has a few razor burns. She said it happened when she was working with his feet.

I am working out more than ever with the ARC challenge. Just wish it would produce better results. :) I'm eating well too. So don't know what gives except that I'm losing inches - at least the "pant-o-meter" says so. ;)

Just got done on the elliptical and some leg exercises:

47.05 min., 3.75 miles, 455 cals, 6274 strides. I was going for more min. on the elliptical, but I kept feeling this sting in my shin. I think I have a pinched nerve there. :(
After getting off the elliptical I did some leg toning exercises for 8 min. And some super stretching for 5 min. I am going to try for some upper body stuff later on.

Exercise total for 3rd part of challenge: 366.5min. (6hr 6.5min.)

Your really doing an AWESOME job!!
Keep at it and surely the scale will catch up to you.
The Pant-o-Meter is by far the best way to measure things! hahaha

You pupster is a cutie!

I love dogs in general too- my hubby calls me a dog expert because I know so many different breeds, but it's only from watching dog shows on TV and doing alot of research on different breeds before choosing my Finnegan.
