Sweat Daily!!

I've been reading, and one major mental thing to deal with is all the other people, that are either slow, or rushing past, or crying and quitting and the like.

That sounds like an amazing make or break (fight or flight) moment for your adrenaline! Something I would love to experience!

I'm considering doing it in Aus, it is on in September and cost $110. Being a student I am very put off by the price, I'll see if I can find sponsorship..... off my mummy! lol.

OK, I'm up. Just finished my dippy eggs, and took morning sups.

I'm sore, but not in pain. I feel like I'm in training, and it feels good.

Run/more walk to office 4.5 miles, stretch, foam roll, and breeath at lunch, then ride home today.

I hope today is the best ya'll ever have.
FF
EDIT: omg! I can't reach my feet- LOL! Wearing these lightweight Reebox today, the running buddy shoes.
See how they feel. I hope I can hear the lil dudes on the bottom cheering for me. I may need a lil encouragement to make it to work.

Questions that come to mind for event-
Shoe Choice
Wear Gloves or not
Camelback needed, or are there support stations
Change of any gear, shoes, gloves, during event
mmmmm what else what else ????

From everything I've read so far, it really looks like you'll want to wear gloves. Lots of rope work and wood handling = burns and splinters.

yeah, makes sense Max. full finger gloves, or like weight lifter ones? hmmmm, so much to think about.

Ran in 4.5 miles. Not crazy about the Reebox Realflex shoes. Feel like I'm about to twist my ankle. I will use them periodically to strengthen my ankles, ride bike with them, and do videos with them. But long runs, they are out.

Here's a pic of me last night. I guess this will end up being my before photo. haha, my posture is so bad, and I look taxed. First Day of Tough Mudder Training!

rode home early. got some muscle spasms going on, and chaff- OMG!

going to relax, plan for swim and video workout with the Gidg. Will update later.

I'm up! Feeling pretty good for throwing down 9 miles of run on my first two days of working out.

Eating my eggs, taking my sups and heading to office. Need to focus more at work, and not let the forums eat my day!

Plan- ride to and from = 9 miles
Stretch breath and roll at lunch
light weights, swim, and video workout tonight.

going to let legs rest, mostly, until after the 5K Saturday.

Feels good to be in the groove!

Thank you all for giving me a place to be.

LOL! Ok, maybe I am a bit sore. haha Going down the stairs at the house, and then the hill on my ride was FUN!!

Dude, so I've been watching those tough mudder videos.... I totally think I want to freaking do one! The next one in Michigan is in 2013... which is much further away than yours, but I need more prep time for endurance crap. ****, I think that's gonna be what I do!

I thought it would be right up your alley. People, average people, can finish the course, it's a matter of whether you conquer each obstacle ya know. ie: make it accross on the bars verses drop into water.

and some obstacles you just can't do alone- like a 12 ft wall (series of 4 in a row) Plus each course is different, and there are obstacles that are not revealed.

It's an adventure. Maybe I'll come do it with you!

Glad you seem better today - I always hate to see the phrase 'muscle spasm'! Rest up so you'll be spritely for the race.

I'm with you, got to stay off the forums today - yesterday I had a completely mindless project to do and could browse and get it done, today I need my brain.

Make it a great day!

thanks Sure. I have an ironman mentality and a big fat body. Had a few twitches last night but I am good.

So, check this out- I'm riding home and a dragon fly buzzes right opast my face. Well, with the wind somehow my tank top snagged him, and he was in teh back. Flutter flutter, and as I come skidding to a stop, the lil guy is on my ribs, and I'm like, omg, I'm gunna break hing. We struggled and finally he goes flying out, takes a turn, looks back at me, and off he goes! What a trip!

hey, I wonder if he is on his lil mini laptop somewhere telling his friends! hahah "you won't believe it, I'm buzzin this bicyclist when all of the sudden....." hahahahah

Fitness is fun!

Todd, I want you to know, I might not physically be there, but I am your teammate. I am here for you, through and through.

that's very nice Max! We can do so much more together than alone.

S0- I'm feeling great. Legs are loose and all. Felt I have had a good first week of training so far. Racked up 9 miles running, 36 riding, a mud run, nuch of stretchign and foam rolling, best of all diet and drinking total improvement.

Still have today to ride and stretch, light weights tonight, then the Desoto 5K tomorrow night. Plan to set up some obstacles (ie: balance beam, medicine ball, and ropes) in the back for circuit training. Also making towel handles for my lat pull downs, curls, and all that. I'll post pics. I've been learning some stuff about training for the Mudder.

All and all, my eggs just beeped and I'm ready to get moving.

Have a great on ya'll!

Hey - was just looking for something in my journal and saw an edited note from you that I think I had missed previously. I did get a PM from you and responded with details about the Death March - did you get it?

I'm pretty jealous. Maybe I'll start putting workout stuff outside and hope no one notices. hahaha!

My shoes should be here Monday, according to the tracking.

Didthe 5K it was great! Gidget's knee was sore, so she walked a bit, I ran in place the whole time. Having run the entire race felt great. It was sooo humid, 83 temp, and it rained just before the run, so it was steamy to the max.

It was strange running the parade rooute. There were people solid on both sides the entire distance. Some of the things peeps say- lol!

anyhow, next week is week #31, second week of training, and I plan to have a few accomplismnets.
1. Run the entire 4.5 miles to the office.
2. Get rope course set up, by the end of the weekend at the latest.
3. Incorporate weights
4. Consistant hydration- of water :)

Have fun all!
