Sun's Diary

I played again today, too. Working on the harder feet and my hubby keeps laughing because I keep failing. He said he's not used to hearing that anymore! It's tough to up a level.

Do you play baskteball as well? I'd think it would be fun to be a mascot. They always seem to be the one's having the most fun, not the players or cheerleaders. Though I would think that wearing the suit has to be hard! One of my friends was a balloon bear outside a ballon shop in our area. He'd have to stand in a big bear suit holding balloons outside the store in summer. He said he would sweat like crazy in that thing!

See you later!

MoonGoddess Haha, this is true...ya know, the good ol times when I was growing up the M sized t-shirts still fit me now....but now I can't even wear a L without my mom saying I need an XL...:boxing: lol

notme I used to play basketball....Played basketball for like, 5-6 years and soccer for 8 years....My last time playing it was being a freshman in High school....I wasn't all that great in b-ball as soccer....but you could tell that after I stopped playing sports that my metabolism started to slow down....and here I am! Hah....But this is all a good thing to get me off my lazy butt and to also be aware of the fatting foods that I used to just eat everyday....

I started kinda counting points from the Weight Watchers 'flex plan' (my mom did it for a while so she has the info and everything I need) so I have 26 points within a day....for example....when I woke up I had a 2 pt granola bar, then we went to Johnny Rockets (which was a downfall I later found out) and got a Chicken Club Sandwich....24 pts :eek2:  and came back home and had a bowl of miso soup= 1 pt, and 100 cal pack cakes by Hostess=1 pt
So even though I went over my point limit by 2 pts....at least I'm aware and didn't come back home and have a 6-8 pt lean cuisine lol

There's a really great site with a list of the points if you go to any fast food place or sit-down resturant...you guys should check it out....it's really made me aware, you know, like Diet coke(0 pts) is better than Sprite...(depends on the amount for the pts) ( I didn't know that!)

So go check it out....I mean....for me to lose 3 or so pounds within a day....preeeeeetty awesome...:rotflmao:

hey i went to Dotti's website before... reali cool. tho i am not on weight watchers.
guess i m not disciplined enuf for dat kinda program.

hmm.... u description of Mexican food sounds nice. I'll check if there's any near my place. hehe...

Some of the clothes they make now keep getting smaller and smaller than the sizes 'used' to be

It is ridiculous how small clothes are nowadays...I keep saying the are made for ppl wiht no oobs and no waste and no fat!!! LOL

Good job on the ddr...it is fun exercise...

I hope your having another good healthy day!!!:jump:

Hey, good job on the DDR. I misses it, but I can't do it for a while, not until I heal!

I'm glad you have the weight watchers info already. I would go to it and pay for it, but if your mom had done it and you have all the stuff you need then go for it! I would rather count calories, I think, because it seems more accurate. I dunno! lol...

I used to play volleyball and basketball and then when I saw the older high school kids doing it I got totally scared and didn't want to do the stuff they were doing so I stopped going, lol.

So I'm staying down at 207 because I had 6 points earlier in the day yesterday then went to eat sushi....

Morning: Special K chocolatey drizzle bar= 2 pts
Lunch: 'Special Ones' frozen meal of squash, zucchini, red peppers and chicken= 4 pts
Afternoon: a lil bit of rice and edamame beans (at Shane's workplace)
Dinner: Some pieces of pepper tuna, and shared 4 rolls...= ?? pts

But today we go ice skating!!!!!!:jump:

Have fun skating! All I get to settle for here is roller skating! Need to teach my daugther to use in line skates one of these days...

See you soon!

Michelle

So....we didn't skate for as long as I had planned for....I thought we'd have the whiskness to do 4-5 hours...but we did 2 hours....still ok....and then later we went and played heavy/hard song on In the Groove 2 (like, the only ITG2 machine I know of lol) which was good....and I went under my points today for food!

Lunch: (I know, shame on me not having breakfast) Went to Panera Bread with Shane and I had a 'you pick two' of a Turkey Articoke Panini, Low Fat Chicken Noodle Soup, and a whole grain baguette...= 12.5 pts
Snack: Marble Slab Creamery Strawberry Smoothie( basically 3 scoops of strawberries, apple juice, and non-fat frozen yogurt)=(assumed from calculations) 5 pts
Dinner: Turkey wrap (from subway) with lettuce, tomato, cheese, black olives, cucumber, and a lil bit of mustard= 3 pts

Total= 20.5
And still 6 pts to spare lol

Oh! And even better satisfaction from loosing weight...My mom made a deal, that every week she would put out $20 (meaning I'm not loosing money here) and whoever out of the 2 of us lost the most weight during each week would get the $20....w00t

I love the $20 motivation challenge you have going with your mom! What a great idea & really shows she is supporting you in this life change.

Thats awesome.

That is awesome what great motivation!!!

2 hours of ice skating isnt too shabby and awesome on being below points!!!

Two hours! I'd probably fall flat on my face after that long! I think that's great for ice skating that long.

I like the $20 challenge! That sounds like a great way to stay motivated :).

So...today was very.....full of DDR-ness lol...
I played DDR from like, 2-6 with a lil break in between....:jump: which is good cause I'm not getting as tired like when I came back from college...

Lunch: Lean Cuisine Brick Oven Chicken Pizza= 8 pts
Snack inbetween DDR: Hershey's Snacksters= 2 pts
Snack after DDR: 100 Calorie Packs of Hostess Choc Creme Filled Cakes= 1pt ( add a cup of milk=1 pt)

Tonight we are having Oven-roasted Turkey from Honeybaked Ham (2.5 pts) and peas with califlower with low-fat cheese (? pts) So I did very well again on my points....
I told Shane how many points I've had so far (before the after DDR snack) and he said I shouldn't starve myself.....but the fact is...I'm really not...I had 2 snacks and a pizza for lunch ^_^ I'm just not going crazy like before and getting a Reese's drink or whatever....
I do have to say though, that the first day I officially counted points I felt like I was starving....but my body had to adjust to not eating like crazy lol

sounds like a good dinner! hope yr sunday went well! it's monday here already hahah.
yea agree with u on the body adjusting. gotta train our bodies to eat normal and not those huge portions like in the past!

Ah, welcome to the forums! A friend of risty is a friend's of mines

I used to play DDR back in the day heh, i was only light though....lol's...much funs though, but too expensive to play at the arcade now ($0.75 a game....). Maybe, if i save some money, i can buy the game for my ps2...and the mat, we'll see...

How do you play? do u have a mat? What kinda mat do you have?

Maybe all of us should get together to play. Better yet, we should play twister ;) (lol...heh)

What's your favorite song for DDR? I liked butterfly because it was so easy :jump:

PinkyDolly Yeah, I know....I never really realized it before but now I REALLY see that I was eating alot or just eating cause I was bored or whatever

DeepGreen Yeah, every once and a while I do it on the arcade machine...only if it has songs I can't play anywhere else pretty much... But right now I have 2 pads...one is thin and one is like 2 inches thick with foam....but I'm really looking to buy a 'metal' pad....it may be more expensive...but it lasts much longer and doesn't slide as much etc etc
I like a whole bunch of songs from DDR....and also In the Groove...In the groove is like DDR but has mines that you can't step on the arrow or it'll deplete your health....and also where you have to bend over and use your hands if you are on 2 freeze arrows....

I know....sooo many people on here take advantage of DDR...lol....we should have a DDR tourney for the weight-loss forum gang! LOL

That would be awesome, however I'm very far away from you american peoples! lol

Oh and I read in Adam's journal about you buying whey protein and it making your bigger. I don't see how that would happen. It's just supplementing protein, most people don't get enough and it's a good way to get it especially if you're not a big meat eater like me. I've had whey or isolate protein throughout my process and it's done nothing but help me. So I think I would reconsider it.

What's your favorite song for DDR? I liked butterfly because it was so easy :jump:

Butterfly was my first AA in standard! I love that song, too, but cant get my AA in heavy. ARG! No AAA's yet though, not even on the light mode. I just always end up with a great in there...

We should definitely start up a DDR thread! I went to the DDR site (cant remember the name of it right now) and it's overwhelming. They all are awesome at it and it seemed to competitive for me. I just like it for the cardio bursts (the rests while it's loading :) ).

I have a foam mat and absolutely hate it. It slides more than my flat one and then some of the times the buttons (are they buttons?) dont work because of how the fabric pulls. Frustrating! I'd love a metal one, too, but I'm too cheap.

Sun, I used to drink a whey protien shake. I didn't loose or gain any weight. Just my experience with them :). I was a vegetarian for three years (now I eat chicken again). I still eat the protien bars a couple times a week and prefer them because I'd rather eat than drink something. I prefer the soy protien bars though, but have both soy and whey.

Have a great day!

Yeah, the only days that I'd have the whey was added in pudding if I had a lean cuisine thing without meat in it....but...I've been eating my chicken and turkeys so I left the big tub at a guy friend's apartment (He's an RA over the Summer) back at school.....so...when I get back to school I'll pick it up again if I feel like mixing it lol

Yeah, I always get a great in there no matter how many times I do a song in a row...lol, Shane and I call it the 'great combo' But I did play some more DDR till I sweated today...

Lunch: Subway Turkey Wrap= 3 pts
Lunch after DDR: Lean Cuisine shrimp with noodles and broccoli= 7 pts
Snack: Hello Kitty Gummi's and Hershy's Snacksters= 4 pts
Dinner: Leftover Turkey breast with broccoli and mixed veggies=2.5 pts

10 more points for the day? Comon' this is too easy!:jump:
I think I'm gonna go make those "No Pudge Fudge" Brownies....2 pts for 1/12 of the whole batch:rotflmao:

Brownies sound yummy! I've been wanting peanut butter cookies lately...

Those darn greats get me so mad sometimes! I get frustrated and yell at the game quite often. I get even more vocal when I'm nearly done with a song then get the great!

Congrats on staying in your points! I'm glad that's going well for you :).

Have a beautiful day!

Sorry for the absence for the past 2 days.....mom had a concussion and fell on her head while it was raining really hard so I've been staying home taking care of her....:: yawn::

I haven't counted my TOTAL points for today or yesterday....but yesterday I went with Shane to the mexican resturant again....only this time I had Spinach Enchiladas....::shrugs::

And today I made wheat wheat spagetti....buuuuuut, I believe I have been in the point zone, because my weight hasn't gone up or gone down from the Mexican food lol
