I love Canada, I really do. I love living in the land of free healthcare, colorful money and gay rights. :D

Fine rub it in. Why don't you just mention the friendly people, hot chicks, and good beer while you're at it too. I love my country, I just haven't been too proud of it lately.
 
Good grief! Hang in there! *muttering* seventeen hours.....
It's not so bad. It's not like "real" work. We have a lot of fun. And I get to go to sleep when the kids go to sleep, so I'm really only working for about 10 hours.

First official night of Medquest is over. It was a good night! We have a great group of kids this week. I went to the gym when I got off work this morning. I had such an amazing workout! I think it's the best I've had in quite a while. I'm not sure what was so special about it, but for some reason everything felt good. I felt really strong and could tell that I was maintaining good form. I almost didn't want to leave!
 
I'm glad to hear you had a great workout. I'm off to the gym tomorrow, but I've been rethinking what I'm doing exactly and trying to educate myself a bit.

That's wise. People in general need to be smarter about their workouts, myself included. There's not much point doing an exercise unless you understand the principle behind it and how it will affect your body in the long run. My sister is a dental assistant/dental office manager, but she just went back to college to take a personal training course, just for the purpose of having more knowledge of her workouts. Since then, she's taught me so much stuff I didn't realize. Now I put that knowledge to practice and I can feel a huge difference in my workouts!


Today I was thinking about the fact that I reached my original goal and realized that this calls for new pics! So I'll try to post some within a week. I should probably wear the same clothes I wore in my first set, for the sake of comparison. But if I wore something tighter, it would give a better overall impression. I guess I'll have to do both?
 
Why are all the women in these diaries giving me such straight lines today? First it was Val complaining about a restrictive dress code outlawing skirts above the knee, now you're wondering if you should wear something tighter. I'm trying to behave honestly I am :). As for the training, I got a lot of info from Steve. That's why I put the info out there. If I'm going to spend the time working out I want maximum results for my effort. I'll do whatever that requires.
 
I see that you met your goal for the month!! Woohoo! Go you! That's awesome! I have some back tracking to do, and it's all my fault!

As Fiona Apple sings "I've been a bad bad girl. I've been careless with [my eating plan]" hahahaha. I was stuck with 5 weeks 4 hours a day 4 days a week classes and made it through with A- for both classes. I'm so stoked! I only need 23 more credits to graduate!! YEAH GO ME!

How's your school going? Weren't you applying for med school?
 
Ok, I'll post both! Seems to be the best way. I regret not taking pictures that showed more skin to use as before pics. It would be great to have some pics of my stomach and thighs, etc to compare to now.

Hi PC! You've been missed. Congrats on your marks!!! School is going well for me. I'm off for the summer and just working. Yes, I'm applying to med school in the fall. I'm studying for the MCAT right now, which I'll be writing in August. Scary...
 
The MCAT is the Medical Colleges Admissions Test. It's an 8-hour exam (with breaks between sections!) that is split up into sections, which include physical sciences (physics, inorganic chemistry), biological sciences (biology, organic chemistry), verbal reasoning, and a writing sample where they give a statement and you have to write an essay pertaining to that statement. It's crazy stuff.

I didn't realize the Mcats were that long and you have to write and essay..
well I am sure you will do awesome!
You have you head on your shoulders and sound like you have the power and selfconfidence to do it!

I will be crossing my fingers for you, not that you need me to, because you will do awesome!

The studying is kind of meh... I should be studying right now actually. :mad:

Anyway, my browser was doing a really weird thing for a couple of days and I couldn't get into some sites (WLF included). But I'm back now! Unfortunately, I don't have time to hit diaries right now because I need to go do some studying. I'll talk to you all later on!
 
I was looking for this diary today. You have a lot on your plate right now (Boy that sounds bad in this forum), but you're doing terrific.
 
Yes, I've been very busy. Studying is screwing with my summer. I was off work on Thursday and studied for 9 hours! That shouldn't happen in the summer time! I only studied for 2 or 3 yesterday and I'm pretty sure I won't study at all today. I need to breathe! Gonna hit the gym later and then clean my apartment.
No plans for tonight, which is probably a good thing. I've been so stressed out during the weekdays, that I've been partying more than usual on the weekends. That tends to be a bad thing... In fact, I was 153 when I weighed myself this morning. :( Up 3 lbs since the first of the month. That bums me out in a big way. So I certainly won't be down to 147 by the end of the month. I'm not so concerned about time restraints now though. I wanted to lose at least 3 lbs per month when my goal was 150. I managed to succeed with that, at least. As long as I'm 145 by the end of the year, I'll be ok. But it would be nice to be 145 right now!
