SunnyDee's Diary

Exams over, great compliments, time with the girls and movies.. I'm jealous!!!
I'm so happy for you.

P.S. If you post sexy photos, I'm not sure some of the guys will be able to contain themselves. hehehe.

I'm going to be staying in Pickering, working in Scarborough.

I'm not sure about a focus. I actually plan on going to med school, so I don't know if I'll get too comfortable in any one area for a while. I have a flair for mental health, but I'm also pretty skilled when it some to hands-on, so I'm versatile!
Scarborough is a nice area...I'm right across the lake from there, just into the states. Let me know if you need any info if you plan to visit the Falls. Toronto is one of my favorite cities, too.

I'm glad to hear you're thinking about med school. Nurses make such great physicians. They have such a grasp on patient care beyond what can be taught in medical school. Some nurses have asked me in the past if I was a nurse before I became a doctor. That is the hugest compliment!

Congrats on exams being over...it's such an indescribable feeling, eh?

Fisrt off, congrats! I hate exam time--ugh I have the World Wines MIDTERM next Thursday:mad:

Second, awesome about Dude!

Third, didn't you say in your first post you were giving yourself all of 2007 to lose the 20 lbs? And now you're more than half way though it, in April?! I must have missed a post if you're quickening it. Maybe you intend to stay at 150 once you reach there, and be 150 in January after the Dreaded Xmas Season. Hmmmmmm...I just realized I haven't been on this forum for Nov-Dec. Must get interesting, huh?
Good luck on your midterm! You'll do great, you know everything about wine. lol
I wasn't around here in Nov-Dec either. I bet it's nuts. lol I started in Jan. No, I didn't speed up my goal. I planned to lose 3-5 lbs per month from the beginning, I just took into account that I would probably have bumps along the way and wanted to make sure I had tons of time. I can't believe I'm over halfway there already!!!
Ohhh...those kind of compliments are the BEST!!
Aren't they? I can't wait for my sister and bro-in-law to see me. My dad came to pick up my mom the other day (He surprised her. She was originally going to take a 7 hour bus ride home. Isn't he adorable?!) and he was shocked. He said "Baby, you're taking care of yourself, are you? You're not skipping meals or anything? Because you don't have to lose weight, you're beautiful like you are. I can't see why you'd want to lose any more." Haha. Typical Dad comment.

I lost track of how many more days we Ontarian's have to prepare for your arrival....7 or 8?
8! But that depends if you count today! It's a week from tomorrow, put it that way. :)

Woohoo! Awesome news all round! Congratulations on your exams being over! I am excited for you!!! Also glad you are looking good and having people notice your achievements! Especially ones who need to acknowledge what they passed up! :D
Thanks a bunch. You're such a doll. I'm excited for me too!

WOOOHOOO!!!!

congrats on exams being over!!! so does that mean that you are all ours now?! no more studying taking you away from us?! :D
That's right - I'm all yours, babyface!

If you post sexy photos, I'm not sure some of the guys will be able to contain themselves. hehehe.
Sweet! Just what I was hoping for. Heehee

Congrats on exams being over that's huge. As for that guy. I have to agree--he's a dork.
Haha. I actually love him to pieces. He's one of my very close friends. I just like reminding him from time to time of what he's missed out on. lol I'm usually not very subtle about it either. He thinks it's funny.

Yeah, it's a nice area... Just a little too crime-ridden for my taste. I'm not used to that. I'm from Newfoundland, where everyone is nice to one another and we have a handful of serious crimes in the entire province over the course of a year. Thanks for offering to give me some info!
You're right - nurses do make great physicians! They're really aren't enough good physicians or nurses. I think that will change with the upcoming generations.

I had a wonderful time with the girls last night. Had a nice cold beer and a girly martini. It was fantastic. :) Then we went to see Reign Over Me, which was pretty good. Nothing to go nuts over, but a good movie.

Congrats on exams being over!

Hopefully the weather picks up a bit here, before you come. Rainy today, with the odd flake of snow. It's supposed to slowly warm up. I counting on Sunny Dee to bring some Sunny Weather!

Take care.

Hey Sunny...Toronto is a fantastic city...tons of stuff to do and see.

I just moved from the area in last summer and there are a lot of things I miss about it. Enjoy it!

a nurse! How nice :) I was going to go to nursing school this spring also..Right now i am at the stage where i have no idea what i want to do! Nursing however, i dont think i would be able to handle. I am one of those weaklings, if i see a sick person, especially a baby.. I'd be in tears at work 24/7. So my second option is Physical Therapy which i will be going to school in fall or next spring. I have a handicapped brother, and i would be able to help him out too :)

BAHAHA! Will the puns never end? You're cracking me up.

I must say, I am quite fond of Toronto. I never actually lived in Toronto. There are lots of things I miss about Ontario, but I like Newfoundland much better overall.

Nursing is great. Definitely challenging though. It's one of those professions you really shouldn't go into if you have any doubts about being able to deal with it. So you made the right choice. I bet you'll love physiotherapy. That has got to be one of the most rewarding careers! Good luck with it.

If I had my way

Breakfast: Chcocolate raspberry muffins

Snack:
chocolate toffee

Drink: Rasberry Wine or Sweet Orange Muscat

Lunch:
Ciabatta garlic bread

Nah, that's actually too much! I crave healthy stuff now!

Great meal for today!!!

When I was a freshman in college I had spent the study in England studying in Oxford so I only got back in time for the very last registration. I got put into an ab psych class with 20+ nursing students to fulfill my gen ed requirement. Most all the classes at the school were closed. I hated how hard they worked. I flunked that class mightily. Nursing majors worked their butts off in my college.

That's a challenge Sunnydee ;)
Haha, yeah, sounds that way. Maybe I'll give it a try one fo these days. lol

I know what you mean. Sounds yummy and disgusting at the same time. It's nice to fantasize about junk food for a minute or two, but actually considering what it would be like to eat all that makes me feel sick inside. I crave healthy stuff now too.

Tell me about it! Nursing school is really tough and we all work ridiculously hard. It's really annoying, to be honest. I went from always being the top of my class with no effort, to working my butt off constantly and still having classmates with better grades than me. But I worry less about that now. As long as I can keep my marks high enough to get into med school, I don't care about any of their marks! We'll all have the same degree in the end anyway.

Fooooods

Very pathetic day food-wise. Matt and I lazed around in bed all morning. Didn't get up til around 1! I haven't stayed in bed that long since I can't remember when. So I didn't eat anything til the afternoon.

Lunch
2 slices whole wheat toast w/ margarine & apple-strawberry jam
Apple juice

Supper
5 Italian meatballs
Veggies (green peas, green beans, corn, carrot)
2 bites of my roomie's homemade pizza

Snacks
1. Caramel apple cider (no whip cream) from Starbucks
2. Banana

Oh, I forgot to rave about my fantastic day at the gym yesterday! I didn't quite work out til then cows came home, like a said I would. Haha But I had a wonderful workout. 65 mins of cardio and 40 mins of resistance training. Felt good to be back.

Certainly does. You enjoy your weekend too. I'm going out with the girls tonight, so I'm sure there will be plenty of "liquid calories" to add to my food list later. ;)

but water has no calories, so i don't understand what you are saying... :D

congrats on your great day at the gym!

have a great time with the girls!
