Thanks a lot! I appreciate all the nice comments. My arms actually didn't look so bad to me this morning. Maybe it's knowing that I'm working on them that makes me see them in a more positive light.

Funky - yeah, my hair is shorter in the back than it is in the front. It's not pinned up or anything in the picture.

I just finished a great workout. The bicep curls were surprisingly easier already! I weighed myself this morning, just for curiosity. And to my delight, I discovered I just have 0.6 lbs to go to meet my goal for March.
 
Food for Today

Breakfast
Raisin & Almond granola w/ skim milk

Lunch
Low-fat peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat
Field berry yogurt

Supper
Grilled garlic shrimp
Corn on the cob w/ 1 teaspoon margarine
Grilled peppers

Snacks
1. Nectarine
2. Handful of Cheezies :eek:
3. Small bowl of pineapple

I came to a realization a few days ago. I do my official weigh-ins on the last day of the month, but that date happens to coincide with day 1 or 2 of my period each month. So, I'm not sure if it's the best time to be weighing myself. It's probably best to weigh a few days later. Well, I'll try to compare my weights over those few days this time and see what I end up with.

Aww, thanks a lot Mechelle! You're very encouraging and your support means a lot to me.

I've had a very stressful day so far. It's the second last week of the semester and there's so much to get done. I had to finish up a project today and it was driving me insane. Luckily it's done now and I can hand it in on Thursday. Just one more "real" assignment and one little tiny one, and I'll be done everything except for final exams. I only have two finals this term. :D It's one of the perks of being in nursing school - a lot of the courses are not textbook/classroom stuff.
 
Glad you got the project done!! Good luck with the rest of the work SunnyDee - not that you need the good luck - hard work wins everytime! :)
 
Good job with getting that project today! Taking each task, one step at a time is a huge help!
 
I know, important accomplishments take a lot of hard work. But I don't wanna work hard anymore! *whines* School makes me sad. I think people who are trying to lose weight should get special holidays from school and work. We have enough to deal with it as it is! It would be for the sake of our mental health.

I know, important accomplishments take a lot of hard work. But I don't wanna work hard anymore! *whines* School makes me sad. I think people who are trying to lose weight should get special holidays from school and work. We have enough to deal with it as it is! It would be for the sake of our mental health.


i know exactley what you mean- i think that should be a new law

Don't get too bogged down by the school work. If you really have to, take a break for one day and not think about any type of work. This feeling will pass and before you know it, you'll be done with the whole university thing and breathe a huge sigh of relief. Take it one day at a time and don't forget to breathe.

I agree 100%. My hubby and I had a pretty good argument about school/health last semester. I didn't take the time to exercise because I was so stressed out from school work. Almost weekly papers and 11 novels for 1 freakin class. This semester, I'm goin about it all differently. My health is TOP priority! If I get all my reading done, so be it, however if I don't get all the reading done, oh freakin well. I'll get to it the next day. I do make sure ALL of my assignments are in on time though.
