SunnyDee's Diary

yep, mal is right. The virtual models over at the official website are better and you can try on different outfits with them. These things are so addictive. I even made a virtual model of myself as a man. Haha, it was funny because when it was all said and done, I looked just like my brothers.

Food for today
Breakfast: Special K Red Berries w/ skim milk, glass of lemonade
Snack: Banana
Lunch: Low-fat peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat, apple
Supper: Whole wheat spaghetti w/ meat sauce & shredded cheese

Haha. That's cool. I just tried out the official site, but I wasn't anymore satisfied than I was wih my original model. Like I said, she's actually pretty good, except for the calves and tummy. It's still a fairly good representation. They're so fun to play with! It's like playing Sims!

Wow, omg thank you so much for the link, its so fun :D i was looking at myself at what i used to be (210) and i was like  , ive been looking at what id look like at 140 (my target weight) and i look like a twiglet, lol, maybe ill higher my target weight a bit. i like 160 lbs, lol, im addicted *add to favourites*

Didn't get to post yesterday. Despite having a day off, I ended up being pretty busy. So I'll post for yesterday. Exercise consisted of 1 hr 20 mins at the gym (50 mins cardio, 30 mins abs/weights/stretching). Food went like this:
Breakfast: Granola w/ skim milk, glass of cranberry juice
Lunch: Grilled chicken pita (whole wheat) w/ lots of veggies
Snack: Granola bar
Supper: Personal sized chicken & red pepper pizza, banana

Ok, I got some news yesterday. I was supposed to be spending 8 weeks in Ajax Ontario for a preceptorship (work term) from the end of April to the middle of June. I got an email saying that my placement couldn't be secured in Ajax, so I was placed in Scarborough instead. It's not a big deal, because I'll be living in Pickering which is directly between the two hospitals anyway. But... (the non-Canadians probably can't relate, but the Canadians can probably feel me) Scarborough is terrifying. My bro-in-law is from there and now he's freaking out about how he's not letting me take the train to/from work and he doesn't care if he has to drive me and pick me up everyday. Now, I've had very few dealings with Scarborough and being a Newfie, I know practically nothing about feeling unsafe. Newfoundland is by far the friendliest and least threatening place in the world. So I don't know how to take care of myself in a city where people avoid going thru drive-thrus for fear of getting robbed at knifepoint! Jeez... I'm hoping everyone exaggerates and there's really nothing to worry about.
Anyway, if anyone knows where I can take a crash course in "whoop-a-300lb-ganster's-ass", let me know.

I'll sign ya up for m y crash course in being a badass :)

i've lived in some pretty bad areas inm y life -and seriously -just act like you know where you are going - even if you don't - stand up straight shoulders back - dont avoid eye contact with people but don't look 'em in the eye either - and you'll be fine.

the people who tend to get victimized are those that act like victims - and walk around all hunched over holding their bag like it contains gold bricks in it.

Pepper spray isn't a bad idea - just make sure yu know how to use it and are prepared to use it and above al l- any weapon you have -c an also be used against you.

Why does that pep talk make me feel like I'm a newbie having a conversation with a 30-year inmate at a maximum security penitentiary?

Oh, I'm totally a bad-ass... I'm feelin' it! *sigh* I'm gonna have to de-Newfie myself over the next 2 months.

Why does that pep talk make me feel like I'm a newbie having a conversation with a 30-year inmate at a maximum security penitentiary?

wow first i get called old -now i get told i'm like an inmate? wow today is just not my day...

the pep talk wasnt as bad as it seems :) seriously -just act like you know where you are going and you will be fine...

YOU are not like an inmate, what you SAID sounded like something an inmate might say. Surely you see the resemblance. Heehee. I suddenly have the urge to photoshop one of your pics to put you in an orange jumpsuit. Alas, I shall refrain...

one of the guys in the photo studio photoshopped my head onto the body of one of the lingerie catalog's models the other day - i gotta say -I was pretty hot - if i had a bag over my head :D

Breakfast: Raisin & almond granola w/ skim milk, glass of orange juice
Snack: Blueberry yogurt
Lunch: Campbell's Hearty Noodles (savoury beef flavor), apple
Snack: 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ low-fat peanut butter
Supper: Bowl of chili, granola bar

Good luck in Scaraborough. All those areas confuse me. Being a small town girl, once I hit Canada's Wonderland I consider myslef to be in Toronto. Really don't know where one place ends and one place begins down there. Hell, I hate driving in Barrie!

Soounds like you have a lot of support from your brother-in-law. You should be fine!

Have a great day.

Yeah, the GTA is just one huge confusing place. My bro-in-law is the best. He loves me. He starting dating my sister when I was five, so he's been around forever!

I'm liking the new way the rep system is set up. I love giving people rep!

And now for the daily postage of food.
Breakfast: Granola w/ skim milk, glass of cranberry juice
"Snack": Tea w/ milk & 1 sugar
Lunch: Roast beef & cheese sandwich on whole wheat, handful of grapes, canteloupe wedge
Snack: Bowl of mixed fruit (grapes, melon, canteloupe, apple)
Supper: Bowl of chili

Worked out for about 1 hr 40 mins at the gym. About an hour of cardio and the rest toning.

I saw these two really weird guys on the treadmills today. One guy obviously had the speed set way too fast for him. He was running, holding desperately to the hand grips and he was all bent over as if the front of the treadmill was getting away from him. Needless to say, he only did this for a few mins before he was beat out and had to stop. The second guy wasn't as weird. He had the treadmill set on a really steep incline, but rather than walking upright so that his legs were actually getting the benefit of the incline, he was leaning back and holding the hand grips to keep himself up, so that his body was still completely perpendicular to the track! It was an odd thing to watch. But it was entertaining, that's for sure.
