SunnyDee's Diary

Hahaha. Your son sounds awesome. He's just curious, in a healthy way. I think it's great for kids to be curious, but public masturbation by a 9 or 10 year old crosses the line between curious and disturbed.

that was definitely a strange incident - I really do not understand some parent's behavior.. :) next time -flash the kid :) no that'd be wrong.. seriously

Good news: I'm feeling much, much better today. I was still a little off when I woke up, and I think I was a bit dehydrated, but I did feel better. I still couldn't muster up much of an appetite, so I didn't eat any actual meals today. I did eat lots of little snacks though - fruit, veggies & dip, some granola, part of a slice of toast w/ PB, etc. So I probably wasn't too low on the calories. I also managed to get in an hour workout this evening (TaeBo & my 'Personal Combo').

Thanks, everyone. It feels good to feel better. :) I'm feeling 100% well today, or as my grandfather used to say "Feeling 10 karat!" I'm not in any pain or running to the bathroom every half hour. My appetite is back and I've been eating very well so far!
To make things even better, it's beautiful day! We've been having warm weather the past 3 days, but it rained yesterday. But rain is good! It washes the snow away. Today is warm, clear, and sunny. I think I may go for an outdoor run. I won't make any promises on that though. We'll see how it goes.

Hi Sunny, glad you are feeling 10 karat! :D Yay for the beautiful day too - it's been lovely here and I have been looking out the window like cinderella or something while I am chained to work! hahaha. Did you go for your outdoor run? :)

Did you go for your outdoor run? :)
Sadly, no. I decided against it afterward and went to the gym instead. When I was younger, I used to run outside and I gave up running becuse my knees used to get sore. Now that I can run on the treadmill or track just fine, I assume the knee pain was caused by running outdoors. Hard to say though. I'll get up the courage to try it again eventually.

I'm feeling like too much of a slacker to type out my foods for yesterday and today. I'll just summarize. I did excellent today, and I had an excellent day yesterday (lots of fruits and veggies) aside from lunchtime when I ate some fries. Not a lot, but I did have some. I definitely shouldn't have. My weight was exactly the same on the scale this morning, which is good and bad. Bad because I only have 2 weeks to reach my monthly goal and I'm starting to worry.

So, I went to the gym last night, but only for about 45 mins. Then Matt and I went for a walk last night. Today I hit the gym for an hour and a half and had a fantastic workout.

Oh I understand about being nervous to try running again. I broke my foot and it took me a long time to try running again. I was scared I'd start and it'd just go again. You need feet, you need knees. Understand that one!

Sounds like you are doing really well on your food. Perhaps the fries just were salty and artificially raised your weight a bit? I often weigh heavier after a big salt intake day. Don't feel too bad about fries, have to have what you like sometimes! Just keep at it and the weight will follow! Sometimes it just takes a frustratingly long time. Sounds like the workouts have been good! :D

I need a scary movie!

Here's a little project for everyone...
I haven't been truly frightened by a movie since I watched IT when I was about 9 years old. That movie frightened the crap out of me. I'm talking, scared for months! And despite the fact that I now realize it was quite poorly filmed and overall quite ridiculous it still terrifies me because of the effect it had on me as a kid. I love it. It's one of my favorite movies of all time.
The problem is, I LOVE scary movies, but I can only really love them if they frighten me. I rarely even jump at startling scenes anymore. And I need a good shit-in-your-pants, sleep-with-your-mom-for-a-week scary movie! Any suggestions?!

Thanks Rachie. It's true, you do just have to give in and eat what you really want sometimes. I know that eating fries once is not gonna completely sabotage my whole weight loss plan. I hope my next time on the scale proves that!

Sorry, can't help you with the scary movie thing. I get too terrified with scary movies, so we tend to avoid them. I do remember seeing one (during the day) when I on mat leave. Totally freaked me out, could have been because of the context and me being a new mom. It's called "Session 9" (I think).

Hope you have a great weekend.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I already saw "Session 9" and it didn't have any effect. I thought it was a good movie, just the same. I'm possibly going to see "Dead Silence" this weekend. I saw the previews and the creepy-ass dummies kind of have an "IT" air about them. So maybe it'll work.

Going to a hockey game tonight! Whooo! Love my hockey. I had an early supper today, so I can go ahead and post my foods now.
Breakfast: Mixed fruit (apple, canteloupe, grapes), piece of cheddar cheese
Snack: 2 digestive biscuits, 5 jelly beans
Lunch: Grilled chicken caesar salad, slice of bread with margarine
Supper: Garlic shrimp stir-fry

I don't expect to get any exercise tonight. I'm sure I'll get plenty over the weekend.

OMG IT scared the living day lights outta me too as a kid. It's strange, because the first time I ever watched that movie was when I was 9 also. I don't know about scary movies, so I'm crap for giving you ideas about them. Maybe you could venture into foreign movies territory and try checking out their horror films.

LOL......when i was little i watched "American Werewolf in Lodon" to this day fullmoons and foggy nights still kinda creep me out!!!
I have not seen any good scary movies lately....I tend to go for funny ones!!!
have a great day sunnygirl!!!

Now see...I laughed all through American Werewolf in London!

As for movies - I'm a bad one to give advice, my all time favorite is Gladiator ;)
