Struggling? I can help.

so what is it that you've figured out that works -what's the big mystery? we'd all like to benefit from your research...

So why don't you start by *trying* to explain what you *think* you've found.

And by all means, please use big words. I promise, you won't lose me.

That knowledge is really on a need to know basis. The mechanic can fix your car faster than he can explain the process and why it works.

Actually if you're leaving it up to blind trust of a mechanic to fix your car and not explain what he's done to fix it -you're asking to get ripped off... Education and knowledge are key components in a lifestyle change...

you said you're an expert - - be an expert - i'm always looking for ways to improve...

I am here to help fat people lose weight. You seem to have done fine. You are not significantly over weight. Things take time. I am not an expert in self improvement. Maybe you should talk to someone who is and discuss your goals with them.

Why are you trying to wreck this thread?

You were over 300 pounds and obviously your eating was out of control. Why do you think that was?

Why are you trying to wreck this thread?
I'm not trying to wreck this thread - one of my obligations is to protect the members of this forum - I've asked a few times what your qualifications were and you've danced around the question... you're a foremost authority on obesity but you're not putting forth your credentials.

You were over 300 pounds and obviously your eating was out of control. Why do you think that was?
Many excuses - not paying attention, spending 48 weeks of the year travelling and eating all meals in restuarants, working 70 hours a day and not having time for me - Lots and lots of excuses...

Here's a point that you're missing.

Mal was overweight.

She lost it.

Not with any serious struggle or 'magic.'

Just like many other members of this community.

So what are you bringing to the table?

We aren't 'wrecking' the thread. We are looking out for the best interest of the community. Please don't twist things to be something they're not.

ETA: Haha, Mal, we think alike.

Not at all. If the guy knows something I don't know I trust him to do the job right.

Also you miss the point. He puts the car on an analyzer and it tells him you need a O2 sensor. You do not need to know how the engine analyzer figured that out because then you would need a computer expert to explain it.

Male, we cannot possible know everything. I cannot explain this quickly. It takes time to absorb. Sometimes you just have to go on faith. So if you really want to know, simply observe for a while and all your questions will be answered before you ask them. Can you do that?

having lost the weight I have, I can pretty much guarentee that the only faith involved is the faith in one's self and one's own goals and aspirations.. it doesn't rely on putting faith in someone else..

What am I going to observe?

I'm actually quite intelligent, I'd show you my mensa card but I let that membership lapse, I have quite a high iq with the ability to understand complex things... you really can explain things and we will understand...

I also understand how most engines work as well - as I had a piece of crap car, and wanted to be able to communicate with the mechanic on a level that he could better fix was broken...

Just curious...what exactly are we supposed to be "sitting back and watching??" I STILL havn't heard anything of any value.

Am I invisible?

You've got me intrigued Chuck. Unfortunately, I think your approach is off. You'd be better off finding people and helping them in the community. Expecting them to come to you just b/c you say you are The Awesomeness is futile considering the amount of traffic we see come through here of Retarded Gurus.

With most members well informed and aware of the fact that 'gurus' use this place as a feeding ground (monetarily or not) leads to the proclivity to walk in the opposite direction when someone starts a thread such as this.

I actually hope someone steps up to the plate so I can see what you are offering... seeing as how you refuse to get into specifics.

Hell, Mal already did. She has weight to lose.... why not help her?

I'm not quite sure why I'm intrigued.

It could be the simple fact that you have the audacity to come in here and say how good you are without getting into any specifics about yourself or your approach. That's crazy and laughable simultaneously to me, but ok.

It could be the fact that you think you know something that no one else knows, and I want to know what this is you think we don't know.

Or it could be the simple fact that you think we can't possibly understand what you know.

Looking forward to hearing more from ya.

I have a very open mind... I'm willing to be a guinea pig as I already stated - i've been around this site for a long time and I think im fairly trustworthy - if I say you've got something to contribute... then it's like the good housekeeping seal of approval...

I still have about 60lbs to lose -why not help me out?

People losing weight.

We will see.

I seriously doubt that. He is an expert with tools and superior knowledge and experience. Perhaps you would like to explain what an engine will do with a faulty AFM.

You said you wanted to improve. You might want to start by removing that chip from your shoulder.

You claim to be a mensa member yet you became morbidly obese and you are still clinically obese. Why?

No offense Chuckroast, but are you EVER going to get to your point that YOU raised? Or do you prefer debating back and forth without giving any substance to the POINT of your thread. If you had something of value to say, you would've said it in the first page of the thread. This is getting ridiculous..

i'm not obese according to my BMI ... overweight -there is a difference...

and I already said why I became obese -intelligence doesn't have a lot of bearing on weight - smart people and stupid people get overweight...

my shoulders are chip free currently, but I'm developing one -I don't understand why you're having a hard time introducing yourself by presenting your credentials...

I've seen plenty of people on this forum lose weight - read around -you'll encounter many many that have 100 + losses... What is it that you do -- that's different from what our member community has done.

Are you still losing weight? If so why do you think you need my help?

you offered your services to those who felt they need them - what can you do to help me?

What is the faith that I need to have?
