Stopinthe excuses & starting a diary

Thanks.. It is tough today after the big calorie breakfast..makes me wish i just had my oatmeal or a muffin .. :-D oh well.. I guess i need to figure this out and how to make it work even when I slip up.

You'll figure it out :) sometimes it just takes some time to get it just right.
And they do recomend that your breakfast be the biggest meal of the day, lol
just eat more veggies and protein and less "bread" type stuff for supper to balance it out?and you didn't slip up you just had a big breakfast thats all, you did do your exercise, you can certainly feel good abut that :D
as far as i go i think i'm doing good.i weigh in on monday so will see but i do feel a difference :)
 
I am actually down 5 lbs as of this morning's weigh in! I cant believe it! Its been about 2 weeks since ive weighed myself..i felt good but i was worried. I feel like maybe this time.. who knows..maybe ..no not maybe..Yes..this time its going to happen.
This morning I have had 2 cups of java w/ nonfat creamer, 1 whole wheat english w/ a tsp of peanut butter, at snack i had a cup of all bran cereal w/ 1/2 cup of milk & 2 strawberries..
I have been up preparing my garden this morning..raking and cleaning up the yard. I havent done official exercise yet but last nite i danced hard for about an hr and a half at least...so i dont feel so bad. I am going to do some time on my weight machine later. I hope everyone has a great day!

yeah..thanks..Im excited..I will start leaving my food diary again on monday..keep forgeting to log it on the computer. I have 2 8 yrs olds hangin around my house and a kid that wont sleep..ill catch you all tomorrow!
 
Monday was good... stayed in my cal range. I worked out 45 min on the tread mill & did 15 minutes of weights w/ 10 min of ab work.
I had my oatmeal in the morning
coffee w/ skim milk no sugar

snack: 4 oz yogurt w/ handful of all bran cereal

lunch: 1 bean & veggie burrito w/ 1 tbsp of sour cream and a tbsp of salsa
1/2 cup of spinach w/ vinegar on it. 1 bag of 100 cal nabisco cookie thins

snack: 1 pear w/ a cheese stick

Dinner: 1 cheese burger ( no bun) 1/2 cup 3 bean salad, 1 cup of steamed broccoli w/ a pat of butter.

water intake 96 oz

Today...tuesday
went for 6am 2 mile walk..added 2 more hills today..whew
breakfast: 2 whole grain waffles w/ 3 strawberries sliced, 1tbsp of syrup, coffee w/ skim milk and splenda

Feeling really good today... a little bit sore all the time which tells me im working but not so hard that im going to hurt myself. Im feeling on target at this point. Im looking forward to saturdays weigh in for the first time!

Thank's for the post i'm not feeling 100% yet and energy is low but if i don't exercise i'm gonna fall back into not doing anything and feeling sorry for my self/not the way i want to go, so i told myself that even if i'm diying i'm gonna make an attempt lol. My rmr/bmr i lov, i knew about it before but never had an exact mesurement so now i know what to go for, alot less wondering that way.

the rmr and bmr definetely takes the guess work out and its nice to see something that really is about MY body and not some persons on a chart that looks nothing like me. Im sorry your not doing 100% yet..but its good that you keep pushin..just dont push too much..sometimes our bodies need a break! Thanks L!
 
K. Thank's for the post your kind words mean alot to me:D it's funny how some one else can lift you up like that my week started out pretty crummy but now i'm on cloud 9.
Hey and maybe some one will check you out at the grocery store if not the cereal isle maybe the produce section :) btw i don't know about your grocery store but mine has some pretty cute guys there (a little young but cute none the same,never hurt to look is what my husband always says so why not lol)

Ok..on to the rest of todays diary
morning snack: 1 slice whole wheat bread w/ 1 tsp peanut butter w/ 1/2 a banana & 4 oz of 1% milk

Lunch: 3 egg white omelet w/ 1 oz lean turkey shaved, 1tbsp grated parm ch. , handfull of portabella mush., 2 whole asparagus sliced. 1/2 blueberry whole grain bagel 2/ 1 tsp butter

Snack: 1 slice whole wheat bread w/ 2 tbsp of ham salad

Dinner: 1 large bell pepper stuffed w/ mixed veggies, garlic, 1 chic sausage sliced on 1/2 cup of risotto, 1 glass of chardonnay
dessert: 1 banana heated w/ 1 oz bittersweet & 1oz white choc chips w/ 1 tbsp of marshmellow...yummy!

Good day...feeling in control

water intake: 90 oz
 
Wednesday

Breakfast: 1 bran muffin, medium lattee w/ skim milk

snack: 1 slice whole grain bread w/ tsp of PB w/ 1/2 a banana, 4 oz 1% milk

Lunch: Shared a steak gorgonzola dish at Olive garden w/ my mom...got the taste w/ out all of the million cal... 1 large dish of salad, 1.5 bread sticks. pelligrino water w/ lime

Snack: 1 cheese stick

Dinner: leftover chicken (2oz) w/ 1/2 cup risotto, broccoli , mixed veggies.
about 30 bittersweet choc chips
cup of green tea

Water intake: 90 oz

Exercise: 45 minute walk, 15 minutes of Abds and stretches...
feeling the belly shrinking! Very excited!!!
 
Way to go!! :D got to love it when that belly starts going :D I'm so happy for you sounds like your doing great. i love reading your post you make your suppers sound so yummy! :)
 
Thank you Stop. I guess I'm mainly trying to get more food choices I figured that right now i'm at about 1400 calories(I hope thats safe) I'm not to savvy on calorie counting. But i'm basically eating the same foods all the time and I'm scared to eat anything else for fear I may be messing up...

I was going to try the points thing to have like a guide to what I can and can't eat and how much of it I can eat. But I don't know

CONGRATS 2 U!!!! I can't wait until my spare tire is completely gone I know its going too Feels good :)
 
Good for you F... sounds like your on the right track..but 1400 cal seems low..unless your not very heavy..My minimum intake needs to be 2000 cal / day..sounds like a lot but its not.


Breakfast: package of high fiber oatmeal
coffee w/ milk

snack: 4 oz yogurt w/ all bran cereal

Lunch: KFC roasted chic wrap w/ water
1 pkg of 100 cal cookies

Snack: low fat cheesits (35) 2/ 1 cheese stick

Dinner: 2 burger patties cooked w/ grated parm and fresh basil, asparagus on the side & 1 sweet potato w/ a pat of butter

dessert: 1 banana w/ handfull of bittersweet choc chips melted

water intake 96 oz...
so far no work out today..i will probably do some weight bench work and abs when I get the kids to bed...been a hectic stressful day..im looking forward to walking in the morning!

Never worked out last nite and boy oh boy..I felt like crapola on a stick this morning..hauled myself out of bed and did my 45 min walk... that last hill nearly was the death of me..but the sunrise was gorgeous and made it worth it. No shin splints this morning Yaaayy ..i had them on Wed for some reason..I just hates them!

Breakfast: very hungry this morning! 1 pkg high fiber oatmeal w/ 1/2 bluberry bagel, coffee w/ non fat creamer

snack: 1 whole wheat english muffin w/ 1 tsp peanut butter
large apple

boy..I dropped the ball on my diary ... My computer decided to have issues..so i havent logged anything since my last one on friday. I did very well on Friday and found out on saturday morning im down another lb..but only one..Im hoping its because Im gaining muscle & all... Im as of friday, starting to do weights everyday. I spoke w/ a friend of mine who is a doctor & chiropractor and he just dropped like 70 lbs..he recommends working on muscle tone as well as cardio...soooo thats what im doing. along w/ my 40 minute walk..im doing 15 to 20 min of weights... im doing 6 reps of each and there is probably 9 different weight excersizes i do..and then i do about 100 crunches. Im hoping to see a real difference. Im also dancing again which I love..we salsa, line dance, swing..you name it..for probably on and off for a 2 or more hr period...i sweat my butt off..im hoping at least :-D
Ill log my diary again tomorrow. I hope everyone had a great weekend..it was gorgeous here!
