hope your computer is all better now, i hate when they get a mind of there own and wont cooperate.lol.
resistance training is great its good for you and you get the added benifits of burning more cals b/c you have muscles.
Dancing!! i love dancing doubt my hubby would take lessons though,guess im stuck doing it at home lol.just no salad spinner this time ;)

Thanks Red & smiley.. Im happy w/ my progress and Im feeling more tone and Im just the right amount of muscle sore each day..so i know im doing something good.
I have started over the last week weight training every day... kinda hard to fit in and change but im trying to do my weight training before i go for my walk.
Breakfast: package of oatmeal w/ one slice whole wheat bread w/ 1 tsp of PB
coffee w/ milk

Snack: 4 oz yogurt

Lunch: lo-carb wrap w/ tuna (lite mayo) 2 slices of crispy bacon, lett, tom, 1 slice of swiss. 1 small lemon square

Snack: 4 oz yogurt

Dinner: about 5 oz of salmon grilled in lemon and dill, asparagus, 1/4 cup of lite coleslaw. 1 glass of chardonnay.

Dessert: popcorn cooked w/ veggie oil in pan w/ 1 handfull of bittersweet choc chips.

water 80 oz

Exercise: 30 minutes weight training, 15 of intense stair master. 140 crunches

Yah...its about 77 here..gorgeous! i didnt do the shorts thing as I walk at 6am so its still a bit chilly..but ive been outside playing badmitton w/ my 8 yr old..and I have a tshirt and my capris on...and its awesome out.

So far today
B: 1 pkg oatmeal
1 slice whole wheat bread w/ 1 tsp butter
coffee w/ milk

Snack: 4 oz yogurt and banana

Lunch: turkey steuben

Snack: apple w/ 1 tbsp PB

Dinner: looks like we are having pork chops on the grill w/ veggies...I think brocolli & peppers...not totally sure yet.

water : so far 64 oz...working on my last 32 oz bottle to make 96 oz!

rough morning

Well..I did my weights last nite for 30 minutes around 8pm as well as my abs and squats..not sure if it was too much too late or what, but i woke up in the middle of the night w/ a tension headache from hell...I didnt sleep much at all so i never made my walk at 6am. I got a little shut eye this morning and I did 10 minutes of jump rope, 10 min on my walking machine, 30 jumping jacks, my hand weights, abs, and some kick boxing...all added up to about 40 min of exercise. Im planning on taking a walk w/ the kids when my son gets home. I have to say the pumped up work out woke me up..but i know ill be dyin tonight.
Food so far:
B: 1 small omelet w/ ham & cheese
1/2 banana, coffee w/ milk

Snack: 1/2 banana w/ 1tbsp of PB on a whole wheat piece of bread

not sure what else today...gotta go to the grocery store to pick up some fish for dinner and some stuff for the house...ill catch everyone later!

but don't be so hard on yourself, like you said it's the week before your period so your probably rataining water(sucks to be a woman sometimes :rolleyes: )or it could be bc your doing weights and your getting some muscle.what ever it is it will work its self out im sure.
i always wrk out in the morning(and again at night)it really gets you going :)
heres to a good day and to that scale moving down tomorow :D
(just a thought do you measure your self bc sometimes you go down in inches and not wt)
 
I agree with Smiley, you should do your measurements. I know when I was going through those tough times the scale said I hadn't lost but the measuring tape said a different story. I think you're doing great!!
 
Thanks ladies..you're awesome..thanks for the upbeat motivation. I think im down today because i missed my walk due ot my headache. I still kinda have the headache and i think its from all the jumpin I did this morning in my work out. Im going to do some just plain cardio tonight and take tomorrow as a new day. I think im going to redo my measurements..i havent done them in a while so ill give that a try. I just went and did a huge grocery shopping and brought home some really good choices. I found these granola bars that are made up of roasted peanuts and some honey.. not too bad on the sugars and definetely a good boost of energy and protein for a mid day snack.

the rest of my day

The rest of my day I felt better...did go out to lunch and had an awesome salad that was done like a steak n cheese but no bread & it was lean sliced beef and 1 oz of cheese, onions, mushrooms, lots of greens & a ff honey mustard.

Snack: 1 sweet n salty granola bar (they are awesome... has roasted nuts w/ honey..very good)

Dinner: 1/2 a swordfish steak on the grill w/ ginger teriyaki marinade..mmmm, asparagus, and butternut squash cooked w/ 2 tbsp of butter (i didnt eat that much butter, just cooked in it) and cinnamon and nutmeg. 1/2 piece of whole wheat bread.

Dessert: angel food cake sliced w/ berries and ff whipped topping... wicked good.

Im way under my cal today... Im going to have something just not sure what...definetely something w/ high protein.
 
Hey glad you felt better :) Ill have to look and see if we have those bars up here they sound great!are they called sweet n salty or do they have another name?
 
I believe they are quaker oats sweet n salty...wicked good..they have nuts in them & honey and yogurt. They are 160 cal for the ones i got but i eat one an hr before i work out and i feel great to go home and cook dinner..not weak and tired.

Today's food
B: 1/2 ham n cheese omelet
1/2 corn muffin
coffe w/ milk

Snack: celery sticks w/ 1 tbsp of PB & 1 mozz cheese stick

Lunch: subway sweet onion teriyaki 6" w/ no cheese
1 bosc pear & 1 pkg of nabisco 100 cal crackers

Snack: 1 sweet n salty granola bar

dinner: 1 Yellow fin tuna steak on the grill w/ cajun marinade, tossed green salad w/ handful of roasted almonds, splash of balsamic vinegar w/ 1 tsp of olive oil, 1 baked sweet potato w/ 1 pat of butter

Dessert: angel food cake w/ fresh fruit & ff whipped cream

water 96 oz

Exercise: 20 minutes cardio-walking (one major hill at the end) 30 min weights w/ crunches.
Feeling good today, put on a shirt that normally was snug around my hips when i sat and now it isnt...very very cool!

I went to a rock gym today...very cool..I climbed on and off for an hr and a half. Im whiped but it was an incredible rush. im already sore & it feels like i worked every muscle i have!

B: mini bagel, oatmeal w/ half a banana
coffee w/ milk

Snack: 1/2 a granola bar

L: turkey veggie wrap w/ ranch dressing

so far thats it.. I did also do my crunches and im going to go get on my walking machine for a bit so that im not dying in pain tomorrow...
 
yes..it was a blast..I feel it everywhere. Im going to try to start going weekly I think and the lady who did our lesson is a personal trainer..so Im going to be calling her monday to talk to her about hiring her for myself and a friend to see about setting up a consult. Im psyched.

ok..after lunch...
Snack: other 1/2 of the granola bar

Dinner: homeade chic italian saus soup w/ veggies, beans, and 1 cup of wheat pasta. I had 1 1/2 cups of this and 1 Tbsp of parm cheese on it. Yummy


Going to get up and go for a hike in the morning -hopefully it will stop raining so i can go.

IM back.... For some reason my computer has been on the fritz for the last couple of days..Ive had to keep a diary on paper..how boring...
So im starting over w/ todays
Breakfast: 2 eggo whole grain waffles w/ 2 Tbsp of syrup, sliced pear

Snack: 2 egg omelet (precooked) w/ 1/2 granola bar

Lunch: large salad w/ grilled chic, mandarin oranges & almonds. other 1/2 of granola bar, unsweetened ice tea

Snack: 1/2 blueberry muffin w/ iced lattee w/ skim milk no sugar

Dinner: Yellow fin tuna w/ salad, sliced apple

water 96 oz.

Today I worked out w/ my pal Billy Blanks to my 30 min TaeBo work out and then rowed for 10 min, did my weights, abs etc...totally about 50 min workout.

Took yesterday off from exercise and i was really sluggish feeling today.. I obviously cant handle a day off!

We went out to Dairy Queen the other day..oh my lord..when i got home and saw how many cal were in that tiny little ice cream i wanted to vomit. I ended up working out more after that..i told my husband never again!
