Stickin' to it

AH!! Peanut Butter!! You've just made me cravie it so badly right now.

I have a terrible time eating a serving size though, you know. I always want MORE of it.

I'm sorry about your injury, hon. I hate how impeding they are on us. When I overwork my knees, I can't run for days and I feel useless.

Great job sticking to your food plan!! I'm so proud of you!! (((big hugs)))

Yeah, no peanut butter today yet. I have gotten into the habit of using a tablespoon measuring device and fill that full and scrape the top so that it's flat across it and have 2 of those on my pb&j or pb&banana sammiches.

I didn't get any work out done last night, but I'm going to go for abs and treadmill tonight because my shoulder still isn't that great. It's not as bad, but I'm not ready for all the rotation.

Hope you had a wonderful day.

Oh honey, I KNOW you understand how hard it is to ONLY have two tablespoons of Peanut Butter. I mean, *I* always want to just take a huge, whooping spoonful and either shove it in my mouth or slap it onto some toast. Thankfully, I've recently began exercising self-restraint where PB is concerned and I'm being a good girl and eating only two tbls. It's so hard though, chica. Prolly one of the most difficult things for me to do. LOL.

((Big Hugs)) cause the shoulder hurts. Physical incapabilities are frustrating beyond belief. I hate it when I take my hip or knee out. It puts me in a bad mood for at least three days.

Hope you Wednsday is going great so far!!

Thanks for stopping by. It's been a good day, I got on the treadmill and have tried to eat pretty good. We checked thedailyplate.com and figured out what we would eat at Chili's before we went so it should'nt be too bad.

Hope you and Dad are doing well!

Hey,

Just stopping by your diary to say Hello. Your very organized and motivated in your journaling and I like it. I hope if I keep reading some of it will rub off on me :)

Great work with all the exercise. Getting in the exercise lately has been the easy part for me. It's just been hard to get my eating under control. I'm working on it...

Hello,

I just wanted to stop by and say "hey!". I have been reading your journal and im very impressed on how you keep track of everything. There is definitely nothing wrong with being organized when it comes to dieting! I wish you the best and i will most likely stop by every once in a while, if thats okay of course?

Oooh Yippeeeee.. I just figured out how to multi quote without having to do all that work myself! YES YES YES!

Thank you Sam for stopping in and I really appreciate the organized and motivated compliments. I'm normally not the most organized person except where my school documents are concerned.. so it's awesome to see that part spilling over into other aspects of life.

Exercise has been the hard one for me.. if only we could combine our strategies and make them work for both of us, now wouldn't that be awesome? I did make some treadmill time earlier since I haven't worked out or anything since Sunday (due to my shoulder). I'm thinking things are on the mend, but I'm still a little scared to do any upper body strength training. Maybe I'll go light on the weights if I do it tomorrow.

Hi Trevor! Thanks too for stopping in and for your kind words. It would be my pleasure to have you stop in and give your 2 cents or 10 cents at any time.

I hope you both are doing well in your weight loss endeavors and if I can get this damned paper finished, I might have time to come by and read your journals (because boys don't do diaries right?) ;)

See you all soon!

Thursday Weight Update: 161.0 (sigh)

But you know what, it's ok because I have not been getting as much sleep as I normally do. I have been up until late the last few nights, so I think this may have something to do with it.

Don't fret it, hon. I've stayed the same weight for about a week and I run as much as I do when I'm dropping it. These stalls happen, it can be attributed to hormones, exercise levels, biological functions...there are alot of reasons, besides the reason of your not having worked hard enough, that could cause your weight to remain stoic.

Also, I would recommend you get at least seven hours of sleep a night. In my personal experience, getting less than six makes me cranky and fatigued in the next day. If I get anywhere between 7-8, I'm just fine and I have energy conserved to run off in the evening.

Because you're dissapointed with this update, I offer you many, many hugs and will hope that your Thursday from hence forth finds you happier. (((big hugs)))

Weight Update Friday Feb 22, 2008: 160.0

So, I'm still hoping to see the 150's by tomorrow and start Sunday working my way down that path. Looking back, I've lost 14 lbs since January and almost 9 of those were in January itself. I know 4.4 lbs with a 10 day vacation in February isn't THAT bad, but I'm still hoping to see 158 by Feb 29 which will be Spring Break, the end of February, AND Leap day so I'm hoping to leap forward with continued loss. I haven't really set any short term goals out loud and honestly haven't really thought much about them until now, but I want too. So I'm putting together a realistic goal list (hopefully) for what I want to accomplish as far as my weight is concerned.

Jan 1 (Start) 174
Feb 1- 164.4
Mar 1- 158
Apr 1- 152
May 1- 146
Jun 1- 140

As far as my hubby is concerned. He doesn't really need to lose any more weight but has a very VERY small pudge around his midsection and is trying to lose that. Since January 1, he's lost 20 lbs and is giong to continue until he loses his pudge he says.

In June, we have a trip planned to Rhode Island and will be staying there with another couple friend of ours and are extremely excited. I cannot wait until this trip and really want to look slammin' in a bikini on the bay.

Also, this year is my 10 year high school reunion, so hopefully I'll be able to look my best, and feel extremely healthy then.

Well, that's about all that's been going on in my world except the fact I'm tired so much this week because of very little sleep. I'm hoping to catch up this weekend.

I gotta hit some other diaries, so I'll see you guys later. :cheers2:

Wow, it sounds like you have some serious events going on this year to help motivate you. I still have a couple years until my 10 yr. highschool reunion. It would be so weird to go back and see all the people I went to highschool with, I'm such a different person now. I guess everyone is, lol.... hopefully:)

Congrats on the loss at the weigh-in. I have some personal goals I've been bouncing around in my head as well. I'm going to really try and make them a reality here within the next couple of months.

Thanks for stopping by my journal and hope your having a great weekend.

-Sam

sorry it's been a few days since I popped in and said hi. Looks like you're still doing pretty good.
Good idea setting actual short term goals! I'd do that, but I'm horrid at sticking to it so I'd just disappoint myself. But rock on for you.
My hubs is the same as yours. he's got this little squishy bit on his belly and that's what he's working to get rid of.

Weight Update Saturday Feb 24,2008: 160.8
Weight Update Sunday Feb 25, 2008: 161.2

Hubby and I went to a friends house for the evening and well, she had a buttload of food available to us. I'll spare you all from the food list that I ate yesterday. Nah, I'll try to remember everything and hope that today is a much better day.

Breakfast: (was kinda later than usual breakfast)
Cracker Barrel
-1.5 biscuits w/gravy
-1 piece of french toast w/promise spread & sugar free syrup
-1 egg beater egg
-1 turkey sausage patty
-2 cups coffee w/cream
-1 lg orange juice split w/hubby

Snacks:
-Carrots
-Cucumbers
-5 pieces of pepperoni
-1 small square of cheese
-2 bottles 16 oz water

Dinner:
1 Turkey burger w/whole wheat bun
1 turkey dog regular bun (ate 3/4)
w/water

Snacks:
-mini chocolate chip cookies (no idea how many) but more than 5 and probably less than 10
-1 mudslide (ice cream, kahlua, vodka, milk, chocolate syrup)
-a few sips of hubby's chardonnay
-Woodchuck Hard Apple Cider

Wow, this food list sounds yummy. Especially the part about the cookies.

When I go to a friends house and 'snack', I'm always sure to chug down bottles of water. Not only does it stop me from loading up on the caloric intake of the food, it helps me feel full.

Christmas was so tempting for me. Thankfully I've conjured enough willpower over the years to resist...

Doesn't sound like you did *too* bad with the temptations set out by your friends. Maybe I'm fortunate that my own friends don't do those sorts of gatherings very often. And usually when they do, they come to my house so I have a little more control over what's being served. Anyway, hope you're having a great weekend!

Yeah, the cookies honestly didn't taste as good as I wanted them too. I was expecting a really sugary goodness, but it totally wasn't. Guess that's not terrible. Hopefully I'll get some of that willpower you have and be able to do much better at times.

Thanks for stopping by squeak. I think I made some pretty good choices, and well, I didn't allow myself to feel terrible for having the cookies or the mudslide. Something I guess I forgot to mention hubby and I took the turkey burgers and dogs and the fat free cheese to their house (which I think was the best thing for us to do).

Doing Something Different

Ok, before my daily weight and food post, I'm going to do something that I don't really do.

So, hi (again) everyone. I'm Tasha. Yes, that's my real name and I normally don't share it online in forums or anything like that, I'm always worried about crazies I guess. Well, I have been here over a year, and I like referring to people by their names - it makes the whole experience a little more personal. So, please call me Tasha or photo or whatever it's up to you. I answer to almost anything.

As far as the pronunciation of my name, it's not like a lot of people pronounce it with the 'ah' sound after the c in cot. It's like the schwa or the 'a' sound after the c in 'cat'. My mother decided she wanted to torture me for the rest of my life and pronounced it that way.

Anyways.. here goes my normal daily stuff.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just found out that our health insurance company gives a 60% discount for members of a specific health club in our area and I think we are going to take advantage of it YAY!!!! So, now I'm going to start looking into that and see what is available for this particular club. :jump:

I've also been dealing with the ridiculous insurance company this morning (health) for listing a recent claim as me using a non participating provider when the idiots who process the claim don't have sense enough to see that the claim numbers provided to them are for one state and they are denying them based on claim numbers from another state. Can we say :boxing::mad:

Well, I'm putting it on hold for 2 weeks to see what happens.
