So this morning is a bit better.
I ended up doing 20 minutes on the bike yesterday, even though i wanted to walk. (Rain and 45 degrees and walking dont mix)
I was testing something yesterday. When i was up and moving around, instead of wearing just socks or slippers, i wore shoes.
I find that when i dont have the cushion and support of shoes, i alter the way i walk. The reason is, in the ball of my foot behind the big toe i can feel the bone hitting the floor more acutely. I dont know if that makes sense. But i end up rolling my ankle slightly to compensate and place my weight on the outside of my foot more to prevent that bone from impacting equally with the rest of my foot. This causes all the muscles and the ankle tobe out of whack.
So far my testing has resulted in an overall better feeling. It still hurts but i blame that on the weather shifts right now.
I did my workout with my shoes on as well and felt no worse for wear.
I will still seek out a podiatrist, because lets be real, i shouldn't be feeling bone hitting floor. But at least i put a stopgap in the aggravation for the moment.
If its not raining today, im going walking. I find the walking to be more pleasant than the bike. I have things to look at and i generally feel better after walking.
