Step by step, day by day :D

And so today WAS much better. Did a massive shop in the morning and managed to stay on top of snacking + did a Fitness Blender workout AND 10 push ups (back in March couldn't do a single one, so this is MASSIVE for me :D).

Next goal is to finally do a headstand. I've been trying on and off for four years I think, and I ALWAYS tip over (there's always a wall behind me :D ). I think I tip over because I'm scared that I am going to tip over, if you know what I mean. Going to keep on trying!

The fact that you can even get yourself into a position that you're up and tipping over is impressive in my book. There's no way I'd even get that far! haha! I'm sure you'll master it soon enough! :) Good job today! :)

That's what I used to think, but I tried it and got hooked (as long as there's a wall behind me :p )

I'm glad too, Cate!! and thanks!

Woke up in the middle of the night with the strangest cramp. It was like I couldn't straighten my big toe and the pain was shooting all the way up my shin. It was soooo painful (I literally almost passed out - yes, very low pain threshold :D, had to hang off my bed with my head down and all). It lasted for a few minutes and scared the crap out of me. Considering the amount of bananas I'm eating, I really shouldn't be getting cramps. Let's hope this was just a one off.

I'm with Jen, headstands are daunting and not my thing...kudos to you for being able to do that. And on the pushups too...I was in the same boat months ago...I thought I would never be able to do pushups bc I have chicken arms, but since I started strength training and HIIT - both can do wonders to your upper body...today I can do 15 pushups, wahooo!! \0/

Hope you feel better darling...yes, bananas should help with cramps...but also make sure you are doing stretches and resting your body properly in-between workouts. If you stay seated a lot (for study-work), then shift immediately to a work-out...don't forget to properly transition between those too, pay attention to your warm-ups/cool downs...and keep listening to your body, I am sure it's nothing too serious, but take good care of yourself, baths can help relax those muscles.

The muscle right alongside your shin bone is responsible for lifting your big toe so at least it's a logical kind of cramp. I usually stretch it at the same time as my quads (standing on one leg and pulling the toes of your other foot to the corresponding buttock instead of just the heel) to ease shin splints. Quite likely just a one off thing though.

I'll remember that LaMa. I've never had a cramp in my shin before, in my calves yeah but this one freaked me out. Coz I was really trying to straighten my big toe and it just wasn't happening and it hurt like hell.

CaliGirl, I do sit A LOT these days, but always do a warm up and a cool down and stretch. Maybe not as much as my body would like.

:D Let's work on those guns ;)

Oh, by the way. A totally different kettle of fish but I feel like I need to make myself accountable:

I'm going to finish all 5 parts of my assignment today!!!! When I come back on here in the evening I will have it DONE. I'm saying it so you can all shout at me if I procrastinate yet ANOTHER DAY.

I did 4 1/2 parts out of the 5, before realising I need to do some more reading, at which point I was like 'nah ah' ...Everything always takes much longer than I think, and I literally spent hours on this. But a much more productive day!!

Going to work in a few hours, gonna do more work on this assignment....soon.... - I'll do the reading!

Today the fog is insane, I literally cannot see ANYTHING outside of my window, it's a combination of actual fog and smog (SO BAD! and I've lost my mask too), hoping it's more of the former.

Oh today marks my 3 months on this forum. 3 months ago I was giving myself 3 months to feel better in my skin and lose some weight and get stronger. I've achieved all of those, but also gained SO MUCH MORE!!!! I've 'met' the loveliest people and by posting on here got really important insights into my head and my relationship with food, which I wouldn't otherwise!!

Feeling really grateful!! :)

So the 3 months are up but I'm not going anywhere :D

This is just the beginning. I wanna get leaner, faster and stronger :D

AWWW Thank YOU!!! :)

I'm exhausted and my cheeks are killing me (when I'm stressed I get jaw pain...).

Gonna rest for a bit and then either do some work or just call it a night. It is only 8 o'clock though and I SHOULD study. Sigh sigh. ONE WEEK until FREEEDOM!!!!

AHHH thank YOU Cate!!! And thanks to you I actually DID do some more revision tonight!! The voice of reason from down under :D Thanks again!!

GROUP HUG, guys!!

Hehhe, Chef, good to see you back on here!! The gif made me smile :D

Ups and downs on my front but haven't had any processed sugar since whenever I last screwed up (Thursday?). But, I've been watching my carbs intake (mainly from fruit) and it's really HIGH! I need to try to find ways to eat more protein and less carbs! I'm still wobbly in places and the long term goal is to get rid of that wobbliness. I guess doing more HIIT would also help to burn that FAT.

Last week I was doing yoga and when I was doing one of the poses I heard a strange noise (like a twig breaking or something) and I'm not sure what I did (hopefully nothing too serious...) but now the areas below my knee (both on the outside of my leg and under my knee) hurt when I do certain movements...it's not excruciating pain or anything and I REALLY REALLY hope that it will go away if I rest it...

NOTE TO SELF: all those injuries you read about... they are real and can happen to YOU!!!!!

Ughhh, injuries SUCK...do you go to a Yoga class? Or are you doing it on your own? - please be careful darling.

I can't give you much advice on food, specially because you are already dealing with healthy items...but perhaps consulting with a professional can give you a better understanding on portions/macros, etc. My trainer used to ask me to log in my food to My Fitness Pal for about a week and then she would tell me what I had to eat more/less based on my goals (build more lean mass/muscle)...I personally don't exercise portion control, but I do try to make sure I am eating from all food groups and am getting a good variety of nutrients within my food choices. My Fitness Pal gives you a basic run-down on how much you have consumed of proteins/fat/carbs/etc. based on the food you log in for the day.

To burn the FAT...you have got to move that body...no secrets there, you keep on moving and you will loose that b!tch! Lol, wishing you a wonderful week darling.

Xoxox

PS: about Chef's GIF - hahahahaha...I can't, you look at it and you laugh!

I'm glad I encouraged(nagged?) you to do some more study the other night :D
I hope your leg is OK Delsid. The fact that you thought you heard something snap is a bit worrying. Take care honey xoxo

I've been eating way more fruit, and my carbs are not as low as I want them to be either. Right now I'm not concerned about it, because fruit is way better than the crap I was eating, haha, but eventually I'm going to have to work on cutting them down a little too.

I hope your leg is ok! :)
