Starting over.

So I'm still weighing daily and I haven't had an upwards fluctuation yet.
I know I'm not doing it particularly healthily, but I am losing weight and I'm ashamed to say I'm at my lowest in a long time. Which is gutting because it's still one of the highest weights ever!

Lost 1.5lbs so far, drinking plenty and besides the lack of vegetables I'm not actually eating overly badly I don't think.
Not too much fat, just a shit ton of carbs, but I'm having milk in there, wholemeal bread and some protein too. (chicken, chilli, sausages)
I'm also not having cans of coke, glasses of whole milk, packets and packets of crisps, purely because I don't have them in my weekly allowance.

On a heavier note.. I may be moving back home.
The financial problems have, no escalated as such, but not got better, so the best option for us both would be to move in with my mum, which unfortunately means much less control over my diet again, but I can dictate what I want her to buy, or do my own food shopping perhaps.
I'll be taking my scales too just in case hers read different :p (unless the read lower lol)

It'll be tough, and mean longer days at uni and placement, but it'll be much better financially and in the long run.
It means boyfriend can work on his career stuff much much easier! With fewer hassles and worries.
Maybe we'll be able to save too and get somewhere proper sooner rather than shitty student rents.
Even if it means more travelling, if it means cheaper everything else then thats great.
I will still have my laptop and internet so will still be on here for moral support and no doubt many many rants :p

So I have a confession to make.. I bought something on my week of poverty which I wasn't meant to.
I was out, having walked somewhere and on my way back, when we really needed a drink because we were tired and it was super hot, and I bought a can *hangs head in shame*

So I did a little better this time and didn't finish the spaghetti and meatballs!!
Almost though, but since I have eaten in about 6/7 hours I figure it could have been worse.
Boyfriends food looked so good though, what I'd do to have a proper meal again!
Counting down the days until my last meal in the poverty week (lasagne, peas, sweetcorn and potatoes!).

Did a little of my essay the other day too. I have around 200 words of real essay (+ references) and about 1600 reference-less, sense-less, crap draft.
But it's still 3 and a bit weeks until it's due in so that's not too bad.

Also.
Using a new post because it's completely OT to the last one......

It's so disheartening to see how little the ticker has moved for 1.5lbs. Just puts it in perspective how much I've put on and therefore got to lose!

Sorry to hear that you've been a bit miserable over the past couple of days. It does suck a bit moving back with your mum, but as long as she knows that your now grown up and your relationship is different to when you were a child, it'll be FINE! It'd be a good idea to open up a savings account and put as much money as you can afford in it each week. Maybe half of what your current rent is or something.

Don't be disheartened by the ticker not seeming to move much. Becasue it is moving, and it will carry on moving slowly but surely till you reach your goal. Like a snail.

About a week ago I found a snail in my top oven! It was alive. But it slowly travelled a long distance to get there. It should be thankful it got there just before I decided to cook French food this week lol. And I am NOT making that up :D

What are you doing your essay on?

The problem is, the last time I lived there was only a year ago.....
It's gunna be a little difficult, but well worth it.
We only pay a little each week, about £100 less than we were paying on rent alone, nevermind when you take bills into account.
Hopefully the landlord can advertise the flat as a september let, so we'll only have next months rent to pay and that be it.

It means boyfriend can finally do this programming course he's been eyeing up :p

I have two essays actually but I've only started one. This one I'm doing at the moment is more of a report on a case study and the second is a health and wellbeing essay with two issues, one is most likely going to be responsibility/consent and the other relating to diet. They're not meant to be linked which is fortunate or I'd have really struggled given the scenario we've been presented with to base it on!!

PS loving the snail analogy :)

I'm getting to the point now where I think, right, today has to be the day I see an increase on the scales.
It's a normal part of weighing every day, you can't expect a drop every time you step on them.
Except, for the past few days, it has stayed the same or dropped.
I honestly felt like I'd see 212 or 212.5 today, you know how you just feel sometimes, but nope, there, in plain view, digital so I know I'm not misreading it, was 211. No .5 today.

2lbs down in total.
Not that I'm gunna complain :p

Can't wait to be be up and doing it properly if only doing a half assed attempt is working. (although I am exercising which I blame completely lol)

I can't wait to be out of the 15 stones, I've been around 213 for so long now and it was really getting me down seeing a 15 in front.. So 2 more pounds (well 1.25 since mine measures in quarte pounds) and I get to see a 14 again!!!!!!!

Whoops missed a few posts.
Been at my mums tonight. It's on for definite that we're moving back here.
It's not been too bad, but it's the feeling you can't even move at night for making too much noise.
Need to go back and tidy up so they can show it again.
Fingers crossed they can sell it in a month so we only have one more months rent to pay.
Can settle up all the bills easily because we've been there a year almost.
It's a big relief though!

Am glad you're moving home as it clearly makes financial sense but I don't know how you're going to do it! I moved out at 18 and even going home for more than a week fills me with dread. Hate not being able to have my own food (or at least easily.) Hopefully with more food choices in the house you'll be able to make better choices? I don't know. Really proud of you for your week of poverty (and don't worry, i'll keep my mouth shut about who you are ;)). You're doing so well.

Lots of love xx

It shouldn't be too bad acutally, we've decided on a set amount towards bills and we do our own shopping!!
So yay for having some independance still!!!

We've been looking around and there is somewhere up the road for £200 cheaper a month, so we may look at that first.
It would be good to stay at home because we can save easier and have more money for a few months though.
And we can go out more!
And I get to go on the car insurance if it's not too much money :)
Feeling good about it today because we cleaned the flat a little too.

Gunna finish up tomorrow, or close to finishing anyway, then go see unipol and fingers crossed get out of our tenancy!!

It sound like you have had all the right conversations with your mum and got everything sorted prior to moving in, which is the best way to do it. How does your bf feel about it?

Ah, I remember the mega cleaning, organising and chucking out sprees I went on before moving out of my old house. It had never looked so good, I thought why the hell didn't I do that months ago when I would actually be staying there to see the benefit of it :)

Congrats on the 2lbs :) 2lbs is fine. The perfect weight loss number every week to keep it off.

Hope your making progress on the essays. I actually love essays. The total geek that I am!

Fancy doing mine for me? :p
Was contemplating sitting down and doing a bit more, but there is so much to be done!! Need to get the house clean and tidy asap otherwise knowing my luck they'll get a viewing for the next day and it'll be a state!!!

Argh got distracted now I don't feel like writing anymore tonight

Boyfriend feels a little sad to be leaving the flat/leeds, but we both appreciate how much better it'll be if we go.Also, he can easily afford to do this programming course he's been looking at so it opens up more job vacancies and will make it easier to get his game finished.

I'm doing a boot sale with my mum next week so it's a good incentive for clearing out everything and being brutal! I want to buy my new rocks back or the guy I sold them to, they're £50, so hoping to make a good chunk towards them!

It's now 3lbs!!!! :D :D :D :D

And I'm making more progress on the essay, needs the referencing doing properly, but I have over 1000 words already, and there are still two weeks before it's due in!

This cleaning busy isn't working. I've done one load of washing and made a mess by getting boxes out to sort through!!
Decided to start with the smallest room in the house, the "walk in wardrobe".

Well I knew this day would come. You can't go down on the scales every single day for 8 days!!
BUT
My little fluctuation was only .5lbs!! :)
Well pleased.
On it properly starting in a few days, these next few are gunna be soooo hectic, it was bad enough, but then I found out this morning my little sis has broken her wrist and is in hospital!! poor kid.
Gunna try go see her at some point.

Didn't get to go see her but she should be out by tomorrow afternoon so I'll see her at home this weekend instead.
Food today has been not too good, practically non existent but we're so busy!!
We're out of our contract, so if we find someone who wants to move in in September that's it!!:)

And today that little fluctuation got completely blown out of the window!!
Check out my ticker..... Change it into Stones....
Yup that's right, I saw under 15 stone!!!! :D :D
