Hey that's so cool you live in Whittier. It's a smaller town with a lot of old people right?

I'm from Northern California but I live down in Hermosa Beach during the summer so I'm KIND of familiar with SoCal. Sort of. I have no sense of direction! Haha.
Anyway yeah as far as eating goes, I'm DEFINITELY no expert. I just started changing my bad habits about two months ago. But like I said, slow, steady changes is best. I use to check out all the calories in my food. I also have a scale that weighs it out, and I bought a measuring cup. Both were pretty cheap and very helpful!
Do you eat breakfast? Before I used to eat BAGELS w/ CREAM CHEESE, hash browns, breakfast burritos, etc. Now I usually just eat like half a grape fruit w/ 1 serving of cheerios or something like that. It has cut down my calorie intake significantly!

For lunch, I used to go out to McDonald's and get like chicken nuggets and french fries with my friends. Now I'll make a salad w/ chicken in it. So it doesn't mean you have to stop eating, you just have to learn to substitute the things you DID eat for healthier choices.
