Starting Fresh..Looking for support!

Well heres my Food Log for Day #4

Breakfast:
1 Bowl of Maple & Brownsugar oatmeal: 320 calories 3g. fat

Lunch:
1 Turkey sandwhich: 185 calories 2g. fat
1 Bowl of sald w/ fat free italian dressing: 120 calories 0g. fat


Snack:
1 mixed fruit cup: 80 calories 0g. fat

Dinner:
1 Bowl of Boiled Dinner (boil ham, cabbage, and carrots): about 500?? calories about 6g. fat???

With a total of 1205 calories and 11 grams of fat Well the fat is still pretty low, but i finally have my calories almost where i want them, so i think ill add in another snack somwhere or something!:D
 
Well...today is day three of my headache!!! Ugh and does it suck!!!.. i didn't even exercise yesterday because it got so bad!!... its not as bad as it was last night, so ill b fine to do them today!!!... I cant wait to weigh myself Monday, and see how much Ive lost, I'm hoping to lose at least 2lbs a week.. thats reasonable right?? :confused:

Another good thing is that i got my mother back into the diet thing too!!.. she has to lose around the same as me!!!.. But I'm excited hopefully we can both stick to it this time!!!

1 1/2 Tunafish sandwhiches: 335 calories 6.5g. fat

Dinner:
2 Turkey sanwhiches: 260 calories 3g. fat

With a total of 855 calories and 12.5 grams of fat Well its pretty low, but i must confess i slipped and ate popcorn at the movies:( So i guess all in all it wasnt too bad yesterday:eek:

Lunch:
2 turkey sandwhiches: 260 calories 3g. fat

Snack:
1 mixed fruit cup: 80 calories 0g. fat

Dinner:
2 Turkey sanwhiches: 260 calories 3g. fat
1 Bowl of Salad w/ fat free Italian dressing: 125 calories 0g. fat


With a total of 1045 calories and 10 grams of fat Well its still pretty low...but i havent done all that great, cheating wise.. but i keep telling myself...its not going to be an overnight change.. all i have to do is keep going! And i will eventually get it right! :cool:

French fries w/ cheese:eek: : about 600 calories about 10g. fat??
1 bacon cheeseburger: about 700 calories about 10g. fat??


Snack:
1/2 slice of banana bread: about 200 calories about 6g. fat??

Dinner:
1 Baked potato: 100 calories 1g. fat
1 cup of chili: 500 calories 5g. fat


With a total of 2420 calories and 35 grams of fat. See..i didn't do to well today.. but the good thing is that i weighed myself..(i was suppose to wait until tomorrow morning, but i couldn't wait) and i have lost 5 lbs!!! I'm so excited.. i know i can do this.. i will get used to resisting the temptations!!! soon..very soon!!!.. i did it before.. and i CAN do it again!!.. it was only week one i keep telling myself.. so don't expect to much...!!! I just need to stick with this.. thats the important thing!!:D
 
5lbs? That's great!! :D Congrats! And if you keep up that great attitude, you'll accomplish your goals in no time! Keep it up hun, your doing great! :)

5 lbs gone, nice work. What time frame did it take to lose the 5? I am concerned with how low your cals are still. I saw you had one day over 2000 cals, but big deal. It is not the acute effects of cal intake that make a difference. Rather, it is the chronic effects, and chronically eat VERY little. Which is fine, as long as you are working towards upping your intake. ;)

How are you tracking your cals?
 
Steve - i lost the 5lbs in a week... and i keep track of my calories by looking up how many is in everything i eat....most of the time i just take it from the package..and if it doesn't have one, then i google it and look through some of the things on there to find it... and then write it down in my journal

Today, i woke up and weighed myself (again)... I'm so excited 5 LBS!!!!! YAY me!!!

I feel really good, i cant wait to be able to do my exercises today!! Does anyone else do workout videos at home?... thats all Ive ever done, even b4 when i lost weight.

I just got a new one from Prevention.. Dance it Off... does anyone use or has used it??..any incite would be nice!! :p
 
I hate to be a party crasher. I really do, but seriously, I hope you bump your cals up a bit. Watching the scale climb down can be fun and tons of great emotions are tied to watching it happen.

However, losing that amount of weight in a week often times means you are losing more than just fat. Muscle loss is never a good thing. On top of this, it seems like you are not doing any weight training, which just adds to the chances of losing muscle throughout the dieting period.

People who diet hard usually gain the weight back hard, based on most of the empirical evidence that has been presented to me in my lifetime.

You can take my advice for what it's worth. Or don't listen, this is your journey. And if you don't listen, I will still stop in and say hello. :)
 
Very good point. I'm happy for you on your weight loss, but the fact is losing 5lbs in a week isn't the healthiest option for anyone. I think you still need to explore food possibilities as you're not really eating enough to sustain your body weight (based on what you've written). I'm just afraid your body'll go into starvation mode and you'll find it impossible to maintain your current diet, at which point the weight will almost certainly creep back. Slow and steady...remember?
I'm finding your enthusiasm infectious though - I hope your workout goes well..
 
Well i haven't been on here in a couple days!.. i also haven't written in my food log for a couple days, so i don't have it to write down on here.. but Ive been doing pretty good!

And ty all for ur incite... Ive definitely got my calories up now..

So hopefully i lose about 2lbs a week!! We'll c on Mon. even if i only lose 1lb.. its better than gaining.. so thats all I'm going to think about!!!:p

Well, i haven't been on here in awhile! I also haven't been doing too great! :( But I'm still gonna keep going!!!!

n i finally found the remote to my dvd player, so it will b a lil easier on me.. not having to do cardio EVERYDAY.. now i can do my weight training every other day as well!!

I'm also moving in 10 days.. so thats gonna make everything a lil hard, but ill get through it!

Anyways, i just wanted to post here again, ill be starting my food logs and posting them soon!

Keep going, don't stop!! Cardio is a bit*h, I know. Even I have been having problems with cardio, but I guess it's one session at a time.

Good luck with moving and all (jeez, that sounds like so much hard work but you're bound to get a workout from all that twisting and turning and bending and lifting and pushing and everything else involved in moving..phew)

Wow its been awhile since Ive been on here!!!

Well..we just moved and got all settled, thats y i haven't been on here...

But i also haven't been doing to well on the diet.. i have lost only 9lbs so far... i know that still really good..for how things have been going lol... we have been eating out alot :eek: only cuz of the move!

but tomorrow is a new day!... and I'm getting back on the ball ... I'm going to start walking with my daughter everyday again.. and the eating right too!!! :jump:

It's great to see you're alright, and that the moving went alright. You've managed to lose 9lbs - that is no mean feat. You should be proud of yourself for that, as well as for getting back on the ball.
