Starting Again

Sorry to hear things have been feeling tough - and especially sorry for the warm weather heading your way. :( Can you get out in the early morning before the heat hits?
I cant unfortunately because I have a puppy at home and another dog and they hate being alone but I can't take them with me because they bark at everything
 
So today I started eating healthy again and here is what I had;

Breakfast: protein shake and a cup of berries

Snack: Made Good berry mini granola

Lunch: Melba toast with cream cheese (didn't have time to make anything)

Dinner: 2 rice cakes with avocado and homemade pickled red cabbage, with a side of an apple and almond butter

I know I didn't eat enough calories today but I had a lot of carbs and couldn't think of something quick to eat with little carbs (I'm also a picky eater)

I also did a 30 minute HIIT workout by Sydney Cummings which was intense but probably the best workout I had in months.

Oh and I drink 3 24 ounce bottles of water a day
 
Hard-boiled eggs are delicious with avocado and are handy to have in the fridge.
Well done on getting back on track. You can do this :)
 
Today was full of temptation but I barely succumbed.

Breakfast: Smoothie bowl- frozen berries, almond milk, baby spinach, ancient granola, chia seeds

Snack: protein shake

Lunch: Chickpea pasta (high protein, lower carb) and tomato sauce

Dinner: Halo top macadamia ice cream (keto) and popcorn as well as some pickled cabbage

(Dinner doesn't sound healthy but the ice cream is keto and popcorn is just grain.)

I also did a 30 minute HIIT workout which I'm so sore from! :D

Was the chickpea pasta pasta made from chickpea flour, or wheat-flour pasta with chickpeas? I haven't come across the former, but I'd be very interested!
The ingredients are: Chickpeas, Tapioca, Pea protein, and xantham gum. It tastes really good! It’s made by the brand Banza and i got rotini
 
So i didn’t do good today I just got the strongest cravings.

Breakfast: Smoothie bowl- Spinach, frozen berries, almond milk, chia seeds, granola

Lunch: Beyond meat seasoned with taco seasoning and multigrain chips and a few sweet mini peppers

Snack: Protein shake

Dinner: 2 large fries from Chick Fil A with 2 polynesian and 2 chick fil a sauces, and 2/3 cup of keto halo top ice cream
 
Alright so I decided that this just isn’t working for me i have no self control when it comes to food so i’m gonna start the OMAD diet. I can eat whatever i want once a day for an hour, and then I fast for 23 hours. I used to eat once a day unintentionally and lost 30 pounds within a few months so i know i can do this. And I won’t just eat junk food everyday I will also include healthful foods!
 
I think i’ll start ‘dieting’ or eating healthy tomorrow or Tuesday because depression is hitting me like a bullet train and I’m an emotional eater.
 
Depression is awful, but the healthier you can eat the better. Don't starve yourself, but think of eating healthy food as a way to nourish your body. Go for a walk if you can & get some fresh air. Walking is my therapy. Take your phone or camera & look for interesting things. Here it's Autumn & I am seeing weird & sometimes very pretty fungus.
 
Agreeing with Cate - best to get into a strong-feeling, positive state before you try anything tough in the diet line. :)
 
I’m going to try my best to exercise and eat healthy everyday starting today. The only thing that’s stopping me is myself. I have more than enough time and I have my fridge and pantry stocked with healthy food. I’m really tired of hating my body and crying about how large i feel and look. I really want to stick to the healthy eating this time.
 
Alright so here is what I ate today:

Snack: Chocolate Protein Shake

Lunch: 1 Whole wheat toast with scrambled eggs and a cup of graped

Dinner: Quinoa, grape tomatoes, sweet mini peppers, pecans

I did a 30 minute fat burning workout and did ab exercises.
 
Sounds delicious! I probably would have added some shredded lettuce to the toast&scramble and beans to the quinoa but that's just me being me.

That does sound a little like eating well and exercising regularly are like a punishment for not conforming to some kind of norm. Do you also do things for your body to reward or simply enjoy it? I find it easier to take good care of my body (including food and exercise) when I feel positive about it in general.
 
Here is what I ate/ did today:

I had warm lemon water when I woke up (also had it yesterday forgot to mention)

Breakfast: Smoothie- frozen berries, almond milk, spinach with some oatmeal

Snack: Chocolate protein shake

Lunch: Buckwheat, tempeh and pecan 'meat' with taco seasoning that I made myself, along with some grapes.

Dinner: Apple with almond butter, a few mini bell peppers, and a couple of low sodium rice cakes.

I drank plenty of water throughout the day and had a cup of hot peach tea with dinner.

I did ab, leg, and butt workouts. As well as a 10 minute super intense HIIT workout.
