Stan's Diary

Lmao, when it said 'Mod' I thought you meant as in modVsRockers mod-scooters kind of mod. Hmm, im stupider than i thought.

Thanks for the congrats peeps - I'm well pround of losing 5 lbs. I had started to think the loss had slowed down after my great start and then last weeks 4 lb loss (not that I was upset with 4, it's well above my 2 lb a week target) so to lose faster again is good news.

My only concern is am I losing it too quickly? I'm guessing that at my weight, rapid loss can be ok for a short while - I'm sure I read that somewhere anyway.

Beetroot sandwhich... what the hell???????? Ya'll eat some weird stuff over n' there.

Ohhh yeah! It's not to everyones taste, but I think pickled beetroot sandwiches rule! lol  . People over here eat beetroot & cheese sandwiches too!

Anyway, todays diet has been...

Breakfast - weetabix 190
snack - bread 48
lunch - ham salad & a slice of bread 268
snack - pickled egg 75
tea - tomato on toast 260
pudding - rice pud 348

making a total so far today of 1189 cals. I may add to that with either a cucumber or beetroot sandwich later to push my cals to about 1400 again.

Exercise today was a 1.6 mile walk at lunchtime and a 1.5 mile walk this evening to the shops and back, making a total of 3.1 miles today!

I think the heavier we are the faster we lose weight. But when we start losing more weight its going to be much harder to get the lbs off. I think that rapid weight loss is okay to start with... though I'm not really sure. The only thing that I heard of is that when you lose too much weight rapidly you have a chance of gaining it back, and also the skin sags more. But those people on the biggest loser do it. Anyway, I'm rambling, lol.

pickled beetroot? Wow. Never heard of it, and it sounds kinda scary, I'll trust you that it tastes good. lol. ;) I'm used to American safe names...

Anyway, have a good day. :)

Don't worry about that just yet, just be proud of where you are and keep giving it your all. No sense in worrying about something that may not happen. You're doing great! :)

It could be just me that's odd then, Bluey! :p But I love 'em! :D

I just shaved my head and also the overgrowth that was starting to turn into a beard (hate shaving, it's sooo boring!) and MAN IT'S COLD! I've had to put a woolly hat on to keep warm!

Wonder how many lbs I've shed in hair? :p

**waves at be_gone_soon**

**gives OHD puppy dog eyes 'cos he's missing the pom poms**

Thanks for dropping in everyone :)

I dont like beetroot though, i am very fussy, so in my mind, logically i shouldnt be over weight lol with the amount of stuff i dont like:

All meat (exluding fish)
Beetroot
Alcohol
Mushrooms,
Onions

and thats only a short list lol. At parties i have no otehr choice apart from bread, pringles, and lettuce. anyhoo

bluey x

wow..I don't think I could live without Onions! or mushrooms for that matter (my wife got me hooked on them... HATED them before!) And I have NO clue what beetroot is BUT I know that if you switch the root to the front... and change the t to an r, you get Root Beer...

OR if you switch the t and the r in middle, you get a beer toot... and those are never fun I would imagine!

/never drink beer
//Rum? Thats a different story!
///can you tell I want to leave work right now?!

Beetroot = Beets - those red sometimes golden things that are sometimes served pickled but totally delish roasted in the skin with some olive oil :D

the aussies put them on their hamburgers -- odd people they are :D

They don't give you any veggie options, Bluey? That's not fair! :(

But now you mention mushrooms **potentially stupid question coming up** does anyone know if I can cook them on the George Foreman? And which ones should I get?

...Only I was in the supermarket the other day and there were some huge mushrooms that looked really tasty, but I've never had any other than button mushrooms from a can before and nobody I know likes mushrooms anyhow, so I've never known how to prepare or cook 'em

But they did look sooooo tasty! :p

ps thanks for the shake OHD, you got it goin' on with them pom poms girl! ;)
