Stan's Diary

I promise to be careful - I'm quite keen on my eyebrows! :p

Just need to find something to eat them with - no doubt it'll seem some strange combination to our Stateside friends :D

those huge mushrooms would be portobellos - and are extremely low in calories and high in good stuff for you including fiber....

easiest way to prepare them is to take off the stem - (some people will scrape out the gills because they will bleed black on your plate but I don't mind that) brush them witha bit of olive oil and then broil or grill them for about 3 minutes on each side.. It's got a real beefy taste to it and is delicious.

Or you can make portobello pizzas... take ou the stem and the gills.. and fill with goat cheese or a little tomato sauce and wahtever you like on your pizza and bake for about 15 minutes. very yummy

Thanks Mal - I'll pick them up next time I'm in there. They sound yummy!

I guess we've moved on to a chef show now! :p :p :D

I trusted you really, Bluey ;)

lol, really!? i wouldnt trust me. I made a fire ball in chemistry, after me brain of britain, turns the gas tap on with a lit splint in my hand. i fire ball engulfed my freinds hand, annd there were 3 teachers in the room ,and not one of them noticed.

(btw the friend in questions hand was fine, luckily, and is still amazingly talking to me)

 LOL!

I always hated chemistry and refused to handle the chemicals or use the gas - they scared me! Good job I wasn't with you, I'd have had good reason to be scared! :p :p :p

I'd get my friends to to the bits I didn't like and I was always the one who sat and recorded the results of the experiment while they had a chat. We worked well as a team! :D

Oooo, chemistry! I mix it with biology in the kitchen.

Hmm, if I add this yeast to this mixture of sugars, water and grain, what will happen?
EUREKA! BEER!

lol, i was exactley the same till a few months ago, then i got into this weird psycho faze, and was like give me the acid, i want to do it, i was trying to eliminate my phobias, still washed my hands like 50 times afterwards.
