He is playing more games today again!!!!

Sneaked on while he was out of the room!

Hope Zuzu lets you enjoy a nice long walk - and doesnt persuade you to go straight home.

It has got so that it is more cold here than windy. I have been putting off my morning walk until after 9 a.m. because of the frost. Then dressing up with my thick gloves etc.

So glad you take vitamins/supplements so ya don't get sick w/all that frosty weather!

I feel a lot better since I don't "forget" any longer... It took a while even w/them set out to just take them! lol

Sounds like you had a nice night watching your movie. I did that last week.
Watched "The Devil wears Prada". Wasn't sure if I would like it but it was surprisingly good.
Wish my doggy could go for walks with me :cry: but her arthritis is just to much for her old hips. As it is we can't even play fetch anymore or else she can barely walk later in the day.
Hope the rest of your Sunday goes well.
I'm off for a nap and then to work! Yippee (much sarcasm)
After working 12 hours on Friday and 10 hours last night I am hoping for a nice easy, early night. But we are getting a new boss which means that things will be screwed up for a while 'til they figure out the system.

Didn't get ta climb up/down hill bc I have a blister on heal? I don't know how I got it? My last lap was hard enough but I just pushed through..

Once home I took ZuZu on a quick potty walk...She did not like the wind..

She's pretty freaked out bc as we were sittin' on the balcony earlier, a branch snapped and fell to the ground..A pretty thick one.. The wind is just crazy today!

I don't think I've told you guys I'm a smoker... :rolleyes: I know... I know..

We only smoke outside on front porch or back balcony. {Never inside/hubby smokes to}

I'm doin' really well though... I was smokin' 2 packs a day for years.. I'm now down to less than a pk. or 1 pack if it's a bad/ocd day or nervous day...lol

Once my weight is under control more, I'll try to quit completely..

I can't handle two major things at once..:rotflmao:

I've been smokin' since 7th G. :eek: That's a looonnngggg time!

Goodness, I haven't even posted steps bc I'm yackin' so much..lol

Exercise:

Very Brisk Walk: 3,543 steps - 2 ml - 94 cals burned - 33 mins.
Short Potty Walk with ZuZu...

Just tackle one thing at a time, honey. None of us are perfect--except for me....haha. I am sooooo not perfect--especially today I am feeling majorly flawed...lol.

Glad you had a great walk and showed those young whipper snappers who's boss..lol

Video games are awesome indeed! My brothers and I have N64, PS2, XBox, and Gamecube- as well we all have Nintendo DS Lites. We're kind of addicted... ha ha. guitar hero can give you a good workout if you start jumping around like a rockstar. You usually have to be pretty hyper... or just by yourself ha ha. have you ever played DDR? (dance dance revolution) it's pretty fun too!

Wow I used to be a smoker to I started about 14ish and quit when I got preggers with my 1st child so I quit around 25is but that was easy for me it's the darn eating part I struggle with haha!!It will happened tho when your ready and things are calmer.Sorry about the blister they are a pain in the (_i_)...VIDEO GAMES should be PUTLAWED for MARRIED men that make it an addiction grrrr we fight over that all the time I can't even turn on the news to make sure a tornadoe isn't touching down without getting my head but off grrr!:rotflmao::mad::rotflmao:

Well, I have bad news to report.. :(

My Cals are super high bc I lost all control at dinner. :(

I can't believe I did it. :mad:

I knew I should not have ordered that damn pizza!!

I was tired, my feet were hurting and I didn't feel like standing on my feet cooking/cleaning up dinner.. Boy, do I wish I would have sucked it up now!

I'm sure I will not have a loss on Tues now. Most likely I will see a gain of probably 2 or more lbs. :mad:

I will do my best to exercise like crazy tomorrow and maybe Tues. I'll just see a 1 lb. gain.. I don't know?

Food Today:

B- Usual Coffee and Kashi Bar

L- PB&J Sammie: 1 slice of ww-mg bread - cut in half - 1 tsp. simply jiff - 1 tsp. plum jam.... 1/2 C. cottage cheese - 3 small ribs of celery stuffed w/Light L-Cow Cheese {1 wedge} 1 c. 1% milk

S- SB Choc. Protein Bar

40 oz. water completed

D- :rolleyes: 2 slices pepperoni pizza - 2 slices beef topping pizza - 1 c. romaine salad with 1 tbs. ranch dressing - Diet DP

Total Cals: 1,697

With the sodium from subway and now tonight, I'm screwed!
Plus just the fact tonight was worse with the white flour crust and that I had no control.

Talk about havin' a weak moment! :rolleyes:
 
hey darlin

don't be so hard on yourself about the pizza. you need to think of all the absolute great days you've been having- 1 off day isn't going to kill you or destroy your diet. if we don't give ourselves these slip ups while we're dieting, then think of how our maintenance will be after the diet- we'll just completely blow up cause we've been missing out on everything and have no control. so don't feel that bad. you've already made a great decision of doing some exercise tomorrow and hey have you seen The Family Man with Nicholas Cage and Tea Leoni? i was reading the list of movies you gave in a past post and thought you might enjoy it.

Hi Stacy

1700 calories should not put any weight on you for the day - when you said that you had lost control with pizza I had visions of you really losing control and really having a lot of calories. You might not have much of a calorie deficit for the day - but it should not be a surplus.

If you havent done so already - calculate how many calories you burn even if you do nothing at all - i.e. "basal metabolic rate". It helps you put days like this into perspective.



Of course you want to lose weight - and going over the target calories does not help you get there - but getting there a day later is not the end of the world. The important thing is to not lose focus and decide to follow one slip-up with another - "because it doesnt really matter anymore because I am off the diet".

As for the smoking - so you are not perfect. No-one else in the world is either. For example - if we were perfect no-one would be needing to diet either.

You have done really well to cut down the way that you have.

I am sure that you will address the rest of it when the time is right. I have never smoked - but I understand from friends that it is a very difficult thing to give up. Addictions so often are!!! - funny that!!!

Hi Stacy

Further to my last note to you - if you wear your pedometer all day you can add to the BMR the calories burnt by the steps.

Your pedometer may have difficulty calculating calories with the short bursts all day through - but if you know the total mileage you can calculate it across the day using



I just put in a slow pace if I am doing a daily calculation.

As you know I do not count calories for my food but I have done so a lot of times over the years so sometimes I do a sanity check that what I think should be ok - is in fact ok.

Omigosh, it's so chilly!

52* and the wind-chill makes it feel like the low 40's..

Once again, the wind just cuts ya like a knife.. :rolleyes:

I'm gonna bundle up and just push through it.. I will still be going to the park/pond.. {As long as it doesn't rain..}

I will also work-out inside today..

Thank goodness I've been taking my vitamins/supplements like I should since the weather is changing. {I get sick so easy..}

I will also take airborne today..{It's a fizzy tablet that goes in water and it's super-charged w/vitamins and minerals. It helps aid you so your chances are much lower of catching something or gettin' sick. A school teacher invented it bc she was tired of catchin' stuff from her students all the time and always gettin' sick.} It really does work! You can also take it at the first sign of not feelin' well and it lowers your chances of gettin' full-blown sick.

Hubby is off today and tomorrow.. It's his first day off so he won't be up till later this evening.

I've spent the morning havin' ta dig through our closets to find the storage tubs that have our robes/fall-winter clothes in them.. :rolleyes:

Here I thought I was done w/laundry and now I have more..lol

We missed the news the past few days, so this cold-front was a surprise!

I have had a quick scan of what is in "airborne" and it seems to be a mixture of a multivitamin and echinacea. It seems like we think pretty much the same way regarding vitamins and supplements.

It looks like we are in the same boat - taking our vitamins to fend off this wintery cold weather. We can both keep going out on our walks.

I hope that your day goes well ( - "goal reachin" as a friend of mine is apt to say). I am sure that you will enjoy having your hubby at home.

:hug2:Afternoon Sweetpea! I miss so much when I'm off for the weekend, I just hate that sometimes!! I loved when you put out there that you are going to have an AVON night, that just reminded me of when I was young and I would go stay with my grandparents and I would give my grandma "Jafra" facials. I love doing facials and getting them, and I still give my honey feet treatment every few months, I just have him soak his feet, then I have this kit from Mary Kay that my sister in law gave me, and well it has all the creme and scrubs, he just loves it! And since he has nice feet, I don't mind a bit. LOL LOL I hate people touching my feet, MAN OH MAN! :eek: Maybe sometime this spring I can make it down to Texas for a short visit, that's if you don't mind, I might be taking some time off to enjoy a timeshare in south TX and would love to poke my head in your direction and maybe meet for lunch or dinner. The weather today here SUCKS chicken wings, it's cold, cold, cold! it went from 85 on Saturday to 50 today, no wonder everyone is getting sick. YUK! Well, hopefully it won't last to long. Are you doing anything for Halloween?? Do you just give out candy, or do you go somewhere?? I hope your having a good day today!!! Lots of love!

Hey Sugar Lips! That's my nickname for ya, since MGB decided we all needed one that began with sugar..lol. Don't worry about the calories yesterday. That really isn't that high at all!! In fact, it's good for your metabolism to have a jolt like that--revs it up. I bet you'll lose some at the weigh in tomorrow. I ate 2,100 cals yesterday and my scale was down 2lbs this morning! so don't worry! :hug2::hug2:

Man, I guess once I get used to/understand the calorie system I won't freak out so bad huh? It's still confusing to me..:confused:

For example..I have no idea how to make sure and get the calorie count correct for when I make dinner w/lots of ingredients..{like tonight}

My immune system stinks bc of the RA... Bc of gettin' it due to Rhuematic Fever, I carry streptococci virus.. The only way to possibly cure it is with high-powered drugs which I will not take!

{My Aunt Cyndi/Dad's sis} died a horrible death w/cancer bc of all the drugs she was on for RA..

{They did prove the drugs are what caused the cancer.}

So anyway, the point is the streptococci of course keeps my immune system low.
