Thanks!

All natural granola helps to!

I hope to improve today..

Yesterday I only got 7 c. in..

Better than before which was 0! :rotflmao:

I guess we can't count iced tea/coffee/crystal light as water?

You had a great Thursday! ;) Good job!

Have A Goal Reachin' Friday! :hug2:

Busy-busy I tell ya.. ;)

I have the dishwasher going - gotta start 5,000 loads of laundry - *OK, that is a complete exaggeration; I have about 6 loads which will feel like 5,000*

*Snorts* :D {It piles up so quick when I take 1-2 days off from it! Hubby works a 12 hour night shift and comes home a mess! Poor son is in that phase where he smells like a wet dog no matter what kind of deo he puts on- or how much..lmbo! So, his clothes always have to go in the hamper}

I need to get to the park for my laps around the pond - have lunch - pick up the house - just all kinds of stuff.. :rolleyes:

I already have my chicken tenders soaking in fat free Italian dressing for dinner tonight..I still need to wash lettuce/veggies/chop everything for salad tonight as well.

{When I start dinner, I'll place the boneless skinless chicken tenders on a foil lined baking sheet and bake at 375* for 20-25 mins.. They have such a great flavor.}

I better quit playin' on the puter and get my big bootie busy! ;)

I know how important water is for us #1 - I also know water is an important key to weightloss..

Confession: I just hate plain water!

Believe me, after moving from Hawaii (best freaking water from tap no doubt) to NY (I swear, I feel like the tap water is coming from the sewer..ICK!) I've purchased myself a Brita as well. To make it a bit easier to drink, I just pour a few drops of lemon juice in it... shake my water bottle and tah dah!

Oh and by the way, I'm snagging your little "chicken tenders" recipe. hahaa! Hope your day is going well, busy lady. ;) Have yourself a great weekend,girly.

-Sheryl

OooO I bet!

Our water tastes like laundry water... :rotflmao:

Thank gosh for the brita! That does help.. :)

RE: recipe -

Note: I add a little bit of diet butter in between each tender -

{I'd say the size or each drop would be that of a choc. chip morsal}

OooO freakin' great, now I'm gonna crave chocolate.. *snorts* :D

~~~~~~
I'm givin' lunch a lil more time to digest and then I'll do cardio with my 3 lb. weights..
Changed my mind about walkin' right now bc of the heat/it's humid to..
I'll go once the sun starts setting..
I'm kinda chained to the washer/dryer anyway at this time..
Gotta get all of hubby's work clothes ready!
My hubby works a 12 hour night shift at a printing company..{7PM-7AM}
They do store ads/catalogs/Entertainment Weekly mags/etc..
He runs a 1/2 ml machine called a binder..{he works the pockets and machine that binds the mags together.}
He's been there for 15 years.
He has always worked the night shift.
In fact, that's how we met!
I was 18 and he was 20 - We worked at Skaggs grocery store..
I got bumped to nights as a checker - he stocked the shelves -
We drooled over each other right away..:drooling:
:rotflmao:
We started dating 2 months after we had enough of just flirting back 'n forth..
Been 2-gether ever since! 16 years as a couple/14 married..
We still act like newly weds. ;)
I'm a SAHM at this time..Our son will be 14 in Jan.
I'm 34/Hubby is 36
Once son is in high school next year, I plan on tryin' ta figure out what I want to do...I just don't know...I still want to be here for son, but I want to work as well. I'm confused.. :confused:
I have a year to figure it all out...lol
I write children's books/cookbooks and have tried for MANY years to become published... That is easier said than done!!
You have to have a literary agent bc publishers do not want to deal with the authors.
I have been a victim of 2 cons thinkin' I was dealing with a real literary agent.
After the last one, I just gave up and stopped writing..{3 years ago.}
I miss it..
Anywho, I'm ramblin'..
:doh:
I got conned about a nannying job last summer and man did I feel vulnerable. The dude knew everything about me, because he had my CV, he had even phoned me... oh man!! So I completely feel with you!
I think if you miss writing and you have the time and the ideas to do so, you should definitely do it!! I want to be a writer one day. I have a favourite author, I have read most of her books and I think she is just amazing (although she has written 2 that were so disturbingly boring that I stopped reading them... she seemed to have a "native american" phase and both her books that I didn't like involved too much "native magic"!). She is called Jodie Picoult, I would describe her as the John Grisham for the romantic girl (lawsuits mixed with great family stories and love stories).
She also writes about topics that make you think (euthanasia, preimplantation diagnostics, what is right and what is wrong).
You might become as important as she is to me, for someone if you write and if you keep trying! If you give up you will never know!!
And I hope your leg is doing better! Love, Cat
That's horrible Cat! :hug2:
Thanks for the pep talk! ;)
~~~

My gosh it's late... I need to get my tail in bed!

Stupid insomnia! :rolleyes:

I felt so icky/run down today.. { I was busy and then just got in a funk}

No exercise today... :mad: *spanks myself!*

Food Total:

Morning - Usual Coffee

B- 1 scram. egg w/a light sprinkle of cheddar cheese - 1 slice turkey bacon - 1 slice WG-WW Toast w/diet butter - 1 C. SF/Tang

L- 1 c. all natural rasin/date/almond granola cereal w/1% milk

1 Liter of water! My gosh I've spent most my time today on the freakin' potty! :rolleyes:

{Please tell me once my body gets used to all this water it will chill/get used to it?!}

D- {3} small baked - boneless/skinless chicken tenders - They soaked in FF Italian dressing all day..Yummo! 1/2 C. Liptons cheddar/broccoli pasta - Med. sized salad with chopped green onions and light french dressing.

More water.... Almost did 2 liters!

I'm so freakin' proud of myself!! :rotflmao:

I hope I don't pee the bed!

*snorts!* :D

Nite!

Saturday

It's cleanin' day here..

I'll be busy scrub cleanin' and doin' the rest of laundry I didn't finish yesterday..

Hubby will be off Sunday-Tuesday! I'm so excited and can't wait to spend time w/him..He has had a lot of over-time lately.

Gotta make time for my cardio w/ 3 lb. weights as well today..

It's raining so I don't know if I'll get my walk today.. I sure hope it'll stop bc it's so cloudy which makes for great walkin' in TX! Really cools things off.

Still tryin' ta get used to all this water..:rotflmao:

Note: I'm a big fan of Biggest Loser and I just love all the trainers. {Jillian is my fav!} I found great deals on-line and ordered the book - cookbook - and calorie counter/guide - {lists most things from grocery store/fast food places/resturants/etc -

It should all be here by the 15th - Of course I will still follow the best life diet until I can read enough to get started w/BL Plan..

I'm really excited.. So far from what I've read on-line, the plan is similar to best life but offers different food choices {more of a variety} and really puts a lot of focus on exercises you can do at home which is what I need!

The cookbook looks Super GREAT!

More than likely I'll get the best of both worlds by combining the two plans to learn even more and keep my diet under control/healthy.

Have A Goal Reachin' Day All! :hug2:

Have a nice Day Tammy

Hi Stacy

Hope everything is going well and you are having a happy, focused and productive day.

The water thing is a huge question. I read through - but did not post there because I am certainly about as far away from being an expert as you could find.

All I really know about the subject is
1/ that I had read various places that it was a good idea generally.
2/ somewhere there was a big thing about water helping skin's elasticity and that people trying to lose weight would have a better chance of avoiding loose skin if they drank at least 2 litres of water a day.
3/ when I was talking to the doctor about constipation - she said that I must drink 2 litres of water a day. I asked if any liquid would do - as clearly it would contain water. She said no - it should be water.

I am still really struggling with the water too.

Yesterday was so busy - I had hardly drank anything by 9 p.m. and had to try and drink the whole 2 litres (clearly 64 ozs) in the last couple of hours before bed. I very nearly got through it too!!!!!

I also realised that I needed to eat loads of raisins - so you can imagine what happened. I was up to the toilet about 5 times through the middle of the night!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like you have had a busy couple of days - while I have been rushed off my feet too.

I cannot say that all the water is putting me off eating - it is just putting me off drinking water. It may be worth planning up front more or less exactly what you will eat for the day and be happy with - then make sure that you eat it by a certain time - whether you feel hungry or not.

Regarding your future career - if you enjoy writing then that would be a great way to go. You cannot beat having a career that you enjoy. You spend so much of your time there.

I wonder if any of the main publishers issue advice to authors - that you could follow. It may be worth surfing the internet.

I am sure that you will enjoy having your husband at home for a couple of days. My husband is back to work tomorrow. He helps look after the computers at a local college.

My husband used to work in telecoms - and then he worked 12 hour shift like your husband. The shift was 7.30 to 7.30 and it was 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 off. I was working days and while he was working nights - so sometimes days got by before we would see each other again. Be warned if you get a daytime job that is not home based you may hardly see each other. A really good thing about you becoming an author is that you could be home based.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Hi Tammy, Margaret, everyone.. :)

Notice anything different? <giggles>

I'm down a lil more! *WooT!* :jump:

I'm now 175.8

Guess all that water is helping...? :D

I will make sure & try to get meals in- even if I'm full of water! lol

****

Hubby will take a good nap since he worked a 12 hour shift and then he'll be up..{off till Tuesday.} *woohoo!* :cool:

Margaret:

Hang in there, don't float away on me! ;)

Thanks for sharing your outlook/views on everything with me! :hug2:

Hi Stacy,
I write as well. I'm about 250 pages into a historical novel. I hear ya about trying to get published--it is HARD!! Honestly, getting a good literary agent is the hard part..lol. Here is a link to forum that is like this one--only for writers. It is very helpful, and also has a list of lit agents and people can tell about their experiences with them--so you get the good, bad and ugly about them before you send anything to them. Sometimes you can tell right off the bat if they are bad b/c they will ask for money. NO good lit agent ever does that. Anyway, if you really love it, don't give up. :)

I think it's really cute how you and you H met and that you still act like newlyweds after 16yrs together. :)

Oh, and I always watch Survivor and CSI, too..we have some things in common..lol.

Hi Stacy

Well done on losing weight. It makes all the water worth while.

It is always fun getting weighed if the numbers turn out right.

I am pleased that the rain has stopped - hopefully things will be more comfortable now for your walk.

Talking of your walking - how is your leg doing? I hope that it is giving you a lot less problems.

I hope that you have an enjoyable walk - and before you know it your husband will have had enough sleep and be able to spend the main of the day with you.

So
- have fun
- bask in your weight loss
- drink the water
- remember to eat.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Hi ya! :)

Exactly! I always tell hubby/family: "My gosh, you either have to be rich, a movie star, or have major connections to get anywhere as an author!"

One of my favorite movie series inspires me everytime I watch it -

Anne of Green Gables - If you haven't seen it, please watch it! Sooo good!

I've watched the whole set at least 50X

Doesn't it make ya sick to see all this movie stars write a book that stinks and they get it published right away? I just want to slap them! :rotflmao:

Thanks so much! How awesome..
Yes - I learned that the very hard way.. With both cons we lost a total of $1,500 :rolleyes::mad:

Janet Kay Titsworth was one of them..Along w/her hubby..Have you heard of them? They are already out of jail and I received a check last week for $4.25
Can you believe that? They said I will only get a few more checks like that bc they had conned so many the money has to be divided up equal..

I'm sure once the heat is off of them they will go right back to it!

I think it's really cute how you and you H met and that you still act like newlyweds after 16yrs together. :)

Oh, and I always watch Survivor and CSI, too..we have some things in common..lol.

Thanks! We make others sick but that's ok.. ;) They have been married 3-4 times so they are just jealous! :rotflmao:

I really think the secret is to NOT change.. He hasn't tried to change me and I don't try and change him. We talk everything out when we are upset.

About once a year we have a good ole knock-down-drag-out fight.

{Always over the most stupid dern thing!}

We end up coolin' off and then laugh at how stupid we were!

Then, comes the make up sex! :rotflmao: YeeHaw! :p

****

CSI: Man, wasn't the min. killer series awesome?!

I hope they will do some more episodes like that?! Really kept me on the edge of my seat!

Whelp, I better shut-up or you'll never talk to me again bc of my long replies!

:D

Have A Goal Reachin' Day Sweetie! :hug2:

Forgot to answer this...lol {sorry}

My knot is much smaller on leg.. I'll be glad when it's gone!

I do think it is a pulled muscle.. Had one in lower back after we moved..

{Not good to be so out of shape and pickin' up heavy things to drag up stairs...lol}

I have been usin' heated massager on it and then aspercream.
Take Ibuprofen..

If I have a busy day with exercise - the following day I make it more low keyed

-Seems to be workin'...

Thanks for asking. ;)

Back home..

I've cooled down from walk...

ZuZu has picked a nice spot by fan and she's still tryin' ta cool off..lol

We walked to the park - went up 2 hills {took the long route} - made 1 lap around pond - back home..

As we were going down the hills to get back home, ZuZu thought it would be great fun to run... :rolleyes: OMG I know I looked so stupid as I was gaspin' for air {bc of course I'm still very out of shape joggin' down this hill}
..I can only imagine what people were sayin'/thinkin' as they drove by.. :rolleyes: Oh well, who cares right?! :D

Briskly walking - At one point jogging - :D

3,550 steps - 2.7 ml - 93 cals burned {33 mins}
