:willy_nilly:

Ok - Here I am with sunglasses on :cool: at puter trying very hard to read J's, type, and catch up with E1 and then........

My finger slips inbetween 2 keys and the screen is upside down! :willy_nilly:

Boy, did that make me dizzy!

You should have seen me trying to use the mouse to line up the arrow to X out and try to get it back to normal. :rotflmao:

I had to call Gateway and stay on hold for 10 mins. and then be walked through how to fix puter..LMBO!

Only to ME will this happen! :rolleyes:

Time to chop my nails off again! lol
They always slip when they get too long.

Glad you could laugh about that. In my current state, it would've sent me over the edge. :D

HOpe this medical trouble gets resolved soon, honey. :)

*TeeHee* ;)
I made the Gateway Rep laugh bc I asked,
"Why in the world would that even be possible? Why would that be an 'option' on the computer to have the page upside down?
In the future, please tell those that create the puter's to leave that function out."

I laughed and so did he. :)

*******

I'm nervous about tomorrow. :(

My app. is at 11:15 AM ...

I'm SOOO READY to be normal and have my vision back and hope the vertigo crap goes away.

It's so bad that I can't even take shower's any longer.
(just too much motion.)

I have to take a bath in steps..lmbo! :smilielol5:

I wash my face at sink first..(used to do this in shower)

I then get in tub and wash hair -
Soap up -
Shave -
Get out -

lol - I've always been a shower person.
I have taken baths to relax..

I have this fear that I'm going to lose my vision in one eye, or even both!

I cannot even imagine what it would be like to be blind. :(

This really stresses me out.

I just want to be whole again!

It drives me crazy to not have an answer as well.

Chrisy/MaeMae News:

She came over the other day and we looked through a bunch of profiles...

She decided that adoption is what's best for the baby and her.

(this just makes me so very sad for my own personal/selfish reasons. I can't believe 'our family' will be out there without us all. I won't get to be a first time 'auntie' either. I worry about how this will affect MaeMae of course as well.)

When she broke the news to me last week that she was leaning towards this, I did some research and made calls and found a great agency.
They sent all the stuff to me.

It's an "Open Adoption" agency.
Which means: The couple you chose will send letters and pics often.
They keep you 100% in the loop with the baby/child until they turn 18.

Each couple can go further with 'how open' they want it to be.
Like visits such as 'Family Reunion' type events yearly or every other year.
They would put all of that in writing of course.

We have fell in love w/one couple. (white father/black mother - member, the baby is a mix of both.)

They have a 4-year-old adopted daughter and how perfect that they could possibly have a boy to! :)

Their education is mind-blowing!!
They make a great living with no worries.
Their home/neighborhood is fantastic.
They are athletic and travel often.
Their family pics are just precious.
They have tons of family.

Everything has been sent off and the agency will get in touch with the couple, let them know about the baby and if they are interested, a meeting will be set up.

Chrisy did say that if she was through w/college - basketball - and was working, it would be a different story.
She said that of course she would do her best and keep the baby.
She just feels that even then that would be selfish bc of no father figure and that she would struggle which would mean the baby would not have everything he would need/deserve.

The father has changed his phone # - cell # and has moved!! :banghead:

That happened when Chrisy went to him to sign papers and asked for $50..
(for county hospital co-pay - parking fee's - gas money)

What a WEEZLE!!!! :banghead: :dupe:

~~~~~
Whelp, that's all the news 'round here...
I'll let ya know how the doc goes tomorrow.
:grouphug:
Stacy, it's heart-breaking to hear your plight :cry: I could not imagine not being able to shower. I hope with all my might some good news comes around here!
Hi ya Val, thanks.. :hug2:
*****
Finally, an answer!
I have an 'Inflamed Optic Nerve.'
I'll be on 10mg of Prednisone 3 X a day for 5 days and then 10mg of Prednisone 2 X a day after that. (3 weeks total)
I hope I don't gain weight! :ack2:
Gotta get my vision back though and get rid of this vertigo!
I can't believe they couldn't find this to start with! :rant:
Now we are stuck with all of these high $ medical bills/tests/hospital stay.
Whelp, won't be going to school soon now.
This really sucks bc working as a PCT/CNA not only is the perfect job for me, it would also help get us out of debt. :rant:
I'm just ready to get well # 1 and see clearly agian.
Yesterday was a BAD day bc the Dr. Office made me so ill! :willy_nilly:
(It was the lighting..way 2 bright!)
My tooth that has a cavity started hurting as well. :rolleyes:
The doc said I cannot have any dental work done until the nerve is back to normal. :ack2:
I have been driving to test myself and I'm ok as long as I'm not the passenger.
The doc gave me the all clear so I can work tomorrow.
All I can do is try.. I hope I can get thru it bc boy do we need my paychecks!!!
I told the agency to PLEASE try harder to find me a regular client(s)!
Whelp,
gotta go 4 now.. I have a lot to try and accomplish today so I can get back in the swing of things.
:waving:
Hey there :)
Glad to hear they finally found out what was going on with you and hopefully this Prednisone will get the inflammation out and things will be back to normal. Scary stuff but at least now I'm sure your happy to finally have a diagnosis of whats going on. Medical bills suck for sure... The bills will eventually get paid though, and the important thing is that you are okay and everything is going to be fine ;)
Take Care,
Sam
Wow, an inflamed optic nerve, huh.
I'm with Sammy. At least nothing too serious is the matter and you will have your health.
I had my fingers crossed for you... glad to hear things turned out well.
Thanks so much Sam & Steve. :hug2:
I'm so glad as well!
I was truly scared and had fears I was going blind!
I guess that's normal since my vision has been so messed up out of the blue. (lol)
I tell ya, it makes you wake up and become more aware and so thankful for what you have! :)
I have ta be at work today at 1PM - It will feel good to get back in the swing of things.
I can't wait to see Ms. Karen. I only have her the first Wed. of each month.
She's my lil shopaholic, so we'll be going to many stores today.
*TeeHee*
Have A GREAT & Blessed Day Everyone! :waving:
Prednisone SUCKS but sounds necessary for your severe inflammation. Be sure to read this all the way through to know what you're getting into: Prednisone - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I KNOW you're tight on money, but you absolutely should try to stick to an anti-inflammatory diet. It won't "cure" you but it will not exacerbate existing symptoms. Check it:
Avoid Pro-Inflammatory Foods
Pro-inflammatory foods will increase inflammation, increase your pain from the inflammation and may also raise your risk for chronic disease. Loading up on junk foods, high-fat meats, sugar and fast foods will increase inflammation in your body. This is partially due to the unhealthy fats used in preparing and processing these foods, especially trans fats and saturated fats. Processed meats such as lunch meats, hot dogs and sausages contain chemicals such as nitrites that are associated with increased inflammation and chronic disease.
Saturated fats are also found in meats, dairy products and eggs. While all of these foods are important source of minerals and vitamins, you don't need the extra saturated fat. These foods also also contain fatty acids called arachidonic acid. While some arachidonic acid is essential for your health, too much arachidonic acid in the diet may make your inflammation worse. Be sure to choose low fat milk and cheese and lean cuts of meat, which will not promote inflammation.
Diets high in sugar have also been associated with inflammation, obesity and chronic disease such as diabetes. Eliminate high sugar foods such as sodas, soft drinks, pastries, pre-sweetened cereals and candy.
Another possible source of irritation comes from the nightshade family of plants. Whole fruits and vegetables are important to eat for their vitamins, minerals, and natural antioxidants, however some vegetables like potatoes, tomatoes, and eggplant may actually make pain from inflammation worse. These vegetables are part of the nightshade family of plants and contain a chemical alkaloid called solanine. Solanine can trigger pain in some people. While there isn't any formal research findings that back the claim about nightshade plants, you can avoid them for a few weeks to see if your pain and symptoms of inflammation improve.
Choose Anti-inflammatory Foods
Adding foods that reduce inflammation will improve how you feel and help to decrease your risk for chronic diseases. Here are some suggestions.
Fats and Oils
The right types of fats in your diet will impact pain and inflammation in a positive way. Omega-3 essential fatty acids are very powerful anti-inflammatory agents. They are found in cold water oily fish, walnuts, flax seeds, canola oil and pumpkin seeds. Adding omega-3 fatty acid supplements from flax oil or fish oil may also help reduce inflammation, just be sure to speak with a doctor or nutritionist before taking larger, therapeutic doses of any supplement, or follow label instructions.
Olive oil is another type of oil that will reduce inflammation. In fact, olive oil has been shown to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, and will help to reduce pain. Other healthy oils include rice bran oil, grape seed oil, and walnut oil.
Protein
Your body needs protein to build healthy body tissues. Good protein sources include lean poultry, fish and seafood, nuts, legumes and seeds. Red meats may trigger inflammation, so cut back on fatty red meats. When you do eat red meat, choose lean cuts of bison, venison and other game meats, or the lowest-fat cuts of beef, preferably grass-fed beef.
Soybeans, tofu, and soy milk are three great sources of soy proteins that may help to reduce your pain and inflammation.
Carbohydrates and Fiber
Most of your carbohydrates should come from whole grains, vegetables and fruits. The bread, cereal and pasta in your diet should be mostly be 100% whole grain products. Whole grains are excellent sources of fiber, and a high fiber diet will reduce your inflammation.
Choose green leafy vegetables, green and brightly colored vegetables and lots of fresh whole fruits. You should eat at least five and preferably more servings of fruits and vegetables each day. Green vegetables and whole fruits are also important as sources of dietary fiber.
Berries are also a great food choice, especially blueberries and strawberries which are packed with anti-inflammatory phytochemicals and anti-oxidants. The pigments in brightly colored fruits, vegetables and berries contain many phytochemicals that have anti-inflammatory properties. One example is quercetin, which is found in apple and red onion skins and has strong anti-inflammatory properties.
Healthy Beverages
Your body needs water in the form of foods and beverages every day. The simplest and maybe best form of water is fresh drinking water. Other good fluid sources include 100% fruit juices, herbal teas, vegetable juices and low fat milk. About 20% of the water you need every day will come from the foods you eat.
Anti-inflammatory Diet Tips
Over all, when you are choosing anti-inflammatory foods to help reduce your inflammation and pain, choose fresh foods instead of heavily processed foods. Here are some tips:
* Breakfast could be oatmeal served with fresh berries and walnuts, with a cup of soy milk.
* Snack on whole fruits, nuts, seeds, and fresh vegetables throughout the day instead of cookies and candy.
* Eat more fish and less fatty red meat.
* Stay away from deep fried foods and bake or stir fry your meals instead.
* Choose green, orange, and yellow vegetables for your side dishes.
* Drink plenty of water, fresh 100% fruit and vegetable juices, herbal teas and green tea.
Thanks so much doll.
What wonderful info you have shared! :hug2:
Thanks so much for caring so. :grouphug:
*****
I'm already havin' a horrible side-effect from the meds..
RAVENOUS Hunger.. :rolleyes:
Even after eating.
The worst spell comes about 9PM.. :ack2:
Sadly, with our money probs and then gettin' our $15 G. hospital bill, I will be stuck with a small budget re: grocery shopping.
I always try to make it go as far as I can re: healthy foods/veggies, but a small budget can only get so much of the good stuff.
I don't know about other states, but here in TX the produce prices are the worst ever and so are the healthy meats and such.
(fresh foods.)
I will do the best I possibly can to buy some of the things above.
It will be difficult tho bc I also have to add household must haves to the grocery list...
(toilet paper, washin' powder, toothpaste, bath items, etc.)
We have a deadline now of one month to come up with $1G. ins. wise so the $15 G. bill will become $4 G.
The $1G. is our deductable so we can kick in the 90% coverage again.
I just don't know how we are going to do it.
Dave will be off 4 days again bc there is no OT..
I'm back to begging 4 work with my co.
Wouldn't ya know (my usual luck of course) that while I was out ill/in hospital, 2 perm. clients came up Mon-Fri every week and I missed it!!!!
:cuss:
I worked yesterday from 1-5 PM and have nothing else down as of yet..
:icon_bs:
Crimminey!! :cry:
SOMETHING has to come up....what the hell? And I knew you probably couldn't afford really high quality food with your budget. Shit! Too bad about the hunger......that seems even worse!
Tell Cory to BE CAREFUL! No more accidents! Make him get a job ;)
HAHAHA! I hear ya!
The poor sweet kid..
Here we are still trying to come up w/the $395 to finish the job on the tooth.
He still has the temp. work only thus far.
I feel like I shouldn't even post here any longer bc all my news is horrible/depressing all the time..?
Probably why my diary has been pretty dead lately....LMBO! :biggrinjester:
I wouldn't want to read all this crap either.. :svengo:
********
Well, tomorrow is the day..
The doc said I can give exercise a 'try.'
Mat Pilates (which I have)
Walkin' (easy pace)
Exercise Bike (he said to try it at an easy pace)
If any of the things cause a change in how I feel/or vision - STOP.
I hope I don't have any probs w/any of them.
:flame: of course he had to arrive this morning as well.. :nopity:
I'll do the best I can!
As of this morning I weighed in at 188.0 which is still meaning I'm going down!
Maybe I'm actually less and it's not showing yet bc of :flame: ?
Well, shit honey, when it rains it pours, doesn't it?
Hopefully you'll have lots of good news to report in your diary from now on because you've definitely had ur share of bad lately.
Grocery bills are pretty outrageous up here in UT too, imo... Wadaya do...
That's great that insurance is going to kick in a lot of that bill. My insurance is so bad right now I went to try to go see a Neurologist a couple weeks ago, and it only paid 80 dollars of his 300 dollar visit fee... wtf... I'd be scared to see how much they cover of a 15K hospital bill...
Your job sounds fun, working with the elderly. For some reason I usually jive well with the older folks... Most times they just want someone to talk to. Just be patient for a couple weeks, I imagine some good jobs will open up for you in no time ;) That's a safe industry to get into because people will always get older and need the help of others. It's why I'm going to become a nurse, I figure I will always have steady work, and job security is a huge thing for me.
Hang in there,
Sam:)
Hey punkin', I just posted in yer diary..*Jinx*
Now ya have ta slap a tick and call it Harry!! :biggrinjester:
(What my PawPaw always used ta say after a jinx..God rest his soul. ;) )
*TeeHee*
I agree Sam, it just has ta GO UP from here...I'd say hubby, son, and I are at the bottom of this deep freakin' hole..LMBO!
I LOVE my job, I just need/want more hours..Hopefully that will come soon. :)
My client's are a hoot! It always works out perfect that they match my personality!
I get all the fiesty/full of bull/joking/type people. :smilielol5:
Omigosh, my Ms. Ruth (94) makes me laugh my tail off re: her view on politics!
They all love me bc I don't treat them like babies which so many CareGiver's make the mistake of doing.
I make a point to be careful how I say/word things so I'm sure not to make them feel old/helpless.
For example:
Ms. Ruth really likes to try and fix her own lunch but has a hard time.
So I say,
"Ms. Ruth, is there anything I can help ya with?"
She'll say,
"Sure..Could you open all the baggies and get the lids off these things for me?"
I do the hard stuff so she can still 'fix her own lunch' and feel independant.
Just simple things like that mean the world to the elderly/seniors.
You are going to make an awesome RN Sam! ;)
You're 100% correct that RN's - CNA's & PCT's are much needed right now everywhere!
I'm hoping to qualify for aid so I can possibly still start my courses for becoming a CNA/PCT (Patient Care Tech) soon.
I want to work in a hospital with patients so badly.
Plus, the income is much needed! (lol)
Sorry to hear about your ins! *Hugs*
We have a month to get that deductable taken care of. Hope we can make it!
*Fingers Crossed*
That is great news about the adoptive family. They sound really good. I know it hurts to not have the baby in your family, but at least the adoptive family is well enough off so that your nephew will never have to go through the financial difficulties that your family is currently going through. I don't blame Mae Mae at all. Being a single mom with no money and the dad going awol (bastard) would be so hard. The baby will be better off in a two-parent family that obviously really wants him and can provide for him. :hug2:
I hope that new medication works for ya sweetie. I'm glad you're feeling better to go back to work. I think you are perfect for that job, and I wish you lived around here. I'd keep ya plenty busy between my mom and Granny..lol. Anyway, I hope you can still find a way to get to school to become a nurse. I'm sure if you look into it, there is financial aid out there. The best thing to do is talk to a financial aid advisor at the school you want to go to. They can tell you what you qualify for, etc.
P.S. I hope you and Dave are planning to vote in November. This is a very important election, and if you want things to change, you need to make your voice heard by voting. Otherswise in my opinion, you lose your right to complain if you don't vote. :)
Hi ya Kimberly! ;)
Yep, MaeMae is growing up fast these days I tell ya.
She's having to make big adult choices now.
It has been hard to watch her struggle.
She wants this baby, but wants the best for him which is the most important thing.
Which = the sad and heart-breaking fact that adoption is the only way.
We are so super excited re: this family. We hope everything works out!
****
RE: School - I think I'll give a few hospital's a call and ask them which schools they suggest and what type of skills they are needing/wanting.
I think that will help me find the right school.
I hope I can qualify for the aid. That would mean I could start the courses at next enrollment! :D
***
RE: Voting -
My opinions/views are extremely strong and as you and many know my family/extended family have been through pure hell for the past few years re: all types of issues.
So I don't step on toes and cause a riot (lol), let me try to be as calm as I can be while still bein' "me" and frank..
Of course this is 'my personal opinion' (1) The only hope I see for America and its Future is to raise our Fore Father's from the dead and let them clean up this GINORMOUS MESS...
Back then it was not about being popular, extreme wealth, dominating control over its people, makin' choices while in power to line their own pockets and screw the people that elected them in office, trusted them, hoped in them, believed in them, and banked on them.
Our Fore Father's were Gracious in Spirit and did not lie to get what they wanted. They were not full of false promises and BS.
They laid out their ideals - plans - hopes and dreams and that was that.
Back then, they DID what was promised or very close to it.
They had this Nation always pressed against their chests and they listened to the heart beat of America, took great care and most of all Loved the people...The everyday real people of America. Their choices were FOR the People and for the greater good of the country.
God Bless them and all that fought for them and with them.
God Bless all that are fighting now (including several of my cousins).
I will not be voting at all.
As a matter of fact, no one in my family is.
My Nannie has always voted and will also bow out for the 1st time.
We are tired of voting in lies - broken promises - NO CHANGE - Horrible decisions - more and more 'bad' changes that screw the middle class, lower middle class, the poor, the homeless, our military, vets, seniors, and so on. Don't even get me started on HEALTH CARE & FOOD STAMPS and also the fact that we are not 'Free'!
We honestly feel that this country will continue to be screwed no matter who wins and just get worse.
For a very, very long time the 'real people' of this country that do ok, or those that live paycheck to paycheck and those that suffer with no aid nor answers have been 100% forgotten about and swept under the rug.
It is shameful.
2) Our Plan - (for real - not joking)
We have A LOT of research to dig up and learn re: moving the heck out of here and how to do it!!
We want to move to Canada.
This is going to take time, research, saving, and extreme planning but it can/WILL be done.
We as a family use our voice and stand up and say,
Enough is Enough.
Not as American's, but as "Human Being's that breathe life."
Life that our Government/Washington at this time does not care 2 cents about.
We are tired of bein' swept away like trash and ignored.
We look forward to moving and being treated as an equal and human.
We SOOO look FORWARD to Universal Health Care!!
The Rich and the Poor get the same care/doc's.
It'll be great to walk in a doc's office or hospital and be treated like a human and not asked to fill out 10 pages of Ins. Information before you can be treated with respect/care.
It'll be great NOT ta get a BILL in the mail either!
It'll also be nice for all of the "brain washing" to finally come to an end and live in peace.
Its our family goal and we will make it happen because we deserve it and we want it.
Our extended family is interested as well and we will all be comparing notes.
I hope we can all make it! It will be sooooooo sad to leave family behind, but if it comes down to it, it will have to be done.
Dave and I have to think about the 'Quality of Life' for our personal family.
We are sick of working for everything and having NOTHING.
We are sick of apartment life and having so much stress in our lives that we walk around like lifeless zombies instead of 35/37 year olds..
We are sick of having to pick and choose what illness or accident can be treated promptly or placed on a back burner.
This is NOT living.
We want to live and live well.
We cannot do this here.
Vote for Obama then. He really does care. He is not some trust fund kid who grew up with everything handed to him. His father abandoned him and his mom when he was very young. His mother struggled to raise him with the help of her parents. He put himself through college and turned down hundreds of lucrative offers from the country's top law firms to go work as a community organizer in a very poor area of Chicago. He watched his mother die of cancer in her 50s, and was outraged that she had to lie there in her hospital bed arguing on the phone with her insurance company who tried to tell her they wouldn't cover her b/c of a pre-existing condition. He knows what it's like not to have the health care you need. He genuinely wants to make this a better country for all Americans. He plans on making sure that if Americans don't get good health care through their hobs, that they can afford to get the same health care that Congress gets. He will invest in early childhood education, will create more teaching jobs that pay well, will lower taxes for everyone who makes less than $250k per year, and all seniors who make less than $50k would not pay any taxes at all. He will go through the budget line by line and cut out waste and programs that don't work--and give more funding to the ones that need it. He wants to get us out of Iraq where we are currently spending $10 billion dollars a week, and getting deeper in debt to China of all countries. If he didn't care or was full of empty promises, he could be making millions as a hot shot lawyer (being a top grad of Harvard Law). But instead he chooses to serve his country. I don't consider myself a very gullible person, and I truly believe he is the person to lead us out of our current mess. His campaign has not been funded by lobbyists and he owes them nothing. He even turned down millions of dollars in campaign funding from the govt. His campaign has been funded by the American people and he told us yesterday at the rally that we are the only people he owes--not big business, not Washington lobbyists--just average, hardworking Americans like you. :)
Don't flee to Canada. Stay and fight! :boxing: You may find the grass isn't always greener. Canada has its own share of problems--although I think it's a great country.
My grandfather and uncles fought in wars to preserve your freedom and right to vote. Don't squander it. If everyone in your situation thought like you did, guess who would win out? You need to make your voice heard, and refusing to vote only silences it all the more. If more people like you voted in the past, our country might not be in this huge mess. The last elections have been very close. Your vote DOES matter. You may not realize it, but even with all its problems, you are lucky to be born here. Just think if you were born in the Middle East, Africa or some Asian countries.
And like I said before--if you don't vote, you lose your right to complain b/c you haven't upheld your end of the bargain in being a U.S. citizen. It's your duty to vote. Nothing you can say will change my mind. :D Now I'm getting the hell out of here before I feel your wrath. :gnorsi: :biggrinjester:
Kimberly,
:smash: Here comes my wrath! :smash:
:p :sifone:
Yes, Canada has its share of problems, but nothing like here we feel...
"One" of our main issues: Why should Owning a Home or even Leasing a Home and having Quality of Life be an American 'Dream?'
Times have been so hard for us these past few years and for many/most Americans of course.
For the first time in our life and (married life) , we are in debt!
The darkness has set in and we see now more than ever that a home in a safe/nice area will just remain a dream.
We are homeless in America! Why is this fair? No one cares.
Look at all of the people/families that have lost their homes they worked so very hard for! They are now homeless in America as well.
Let's not forget about the honest to God homeless that are viewed as problems and trash.
We have had credit cards for many years and we were always very careful. We never charged anything unless we knew we could pay the balance in full when the bill came in.
We were trying to build credit which we did. We had high credit scores/clean reports.
THEN.......Two years ago hubby's company started having problems.
Plants all over the US started lay-offs and even shutting down.
This year has been the worst for the company and now Dave may lose his job at the plant here!
They have not given them the word yet. There was supposed to be a meeting in September this year to let them know.
They are still waiting for answers and the 'word.'
He has not had any over-time which is our life line!
We have had to charge $835.00 (rent) several, several times, other major bills, groceries, Cory's school supplies and uniforms (public school's are strict here and the uniforms are expensive), and so on.
We have had to charge doctor visits and meds..
Only things that were major....
We have NEVER - EVER charged 'fun.'
We can't even go out to eat or to a movie.
Dave and I got married at the Court House because my family was too poor to give me a wedding.
I never had a wedding shower and we did not get a honeymoon.
We have never had a family vacation or been able to travel.
Of course my husband and I have never been anywhere alone because if we can't even travel with our son, how could we try and travel for the first time alone/without him?
We were not even able to give our son the $1,200 needed for Corral Choir(the highest level/honor in choir) for the New York trip they will take in the spring. That money was due the second week of school! :rolleyes:
Cory and one other kid will be the only ones not going. (out of 25)
Why is this ok and fair? The schools make so much money off each child's head and then you have the PTA...No child should be left out.
Our credit cards are maxed out. (We have semi-low credit lines)
We are now at $11,500.00 in debt which is like 11 million to us.
Dave has a huge chance of being jobless soon and we are at risk of losing everything we have.
We will then be 'truly homeless in America.'
We are on our way at this point to losing internet - cable - and possibly even our phone so we can eat and have electricity/roof over our heads..
What is this American Dream everyone speaks of?
So many say, "I'm living the American Dream and you can to."
I'm very happy for them. I'm glad life dealt them a good hand and their hard work paid off. I truly am.
I still don't understand though why those that work equally as hard but get dealt a bad hand can't have the same chance?
Why can't everyday - normal - hard working - born/raised Americans that are deserving like us own affordable homes that are not junk or in bad areas?
We are not greedy - unrealistic people trying to live out of our means either...
We just want a regular home.. (Move In Ready if possible) Not too big - Not too small - A fenced in backyard - garage- safe/nice area - close to my son's school we would hope.
We have no choice but to continue to dream and we pray that hope will once again find us. At this point hope has even become a dream.
How sad is that?
What has this country come to?
Our Fore Father's are turning over in their graves due to shame and embarrassment! They did not work so hard with such grace and care to have our nation turn out to be a toxic stew of lies and see their beloved people eaten by the wolves in our Government & Washington.
My family has also fought, died, & been injured protecting this country as well and then once back have been ignored and stomped on and treated like garbage. They had to fight and a few are still fighting (in their early 60's) to get the health care they deserve as Vets!
We hope and pray all goes well for our cousins fighting now so they do not get hurt/killed.
If they get hurt they will also get the run around.
Look at 911 and all the brave men and women that are suffering with horrible health problems due to working in ground zero.
They have also been swept under the nations rug as filth.
Look at the fundraisers that were held for 911 and the majority of the victims/families have not seen one cent.
Where is that freakin' money?!
Look at all the money Washington spends to promote commercials to brain wash us into spending and to also make us feel we have every disease known to man so we run to the doctor, get screwed by ins., and make them all RICH.
They are all laughing all the way to the bank and care nothing about the 'real people' of this nation.
They also brain wash us with fear which makes me want to vomit.
Money like that could do so much For the People in tons of areas.
But nooooooooooo... By gosh commercials for cars, trucks, every drug known to man, security for our homes and havin' 15 guns to protect our homes/families and so forth is Top of the Line More Important....
To make things even worse 'election/voting wise,' both have already backed out of several promises concerning major issues due to political pressure/money.
They are not even President yet and already 'bailing out.'
I have no faith or trust in people like that.
How can I vote when I don't trust either and feel we will be in worse shape if either of them wins?
:ack2:
We are not gettin' younger and we want "Quality of Life."
We want to be seen/treated as a Human that breathes life, not a $ or - sign.
<end wrath>
:ack2:
I was so excited yesterday about gettin' the 'all clear' and didn't even get to exercise bc of :flame:
I was in so much pain for most of the night.
I can't wait to get the ins. back in wack so I can get the 2nd opinion re: the hysterectomy!
I feel pretty run down today as well.
As long as I don't start hurting, I'll be able to push through and get some exercise in.
Have A Great Weekend Everyone!
