...Hope I have been needing to hear so deeply and badly with all my family has been through...
There are other people and families all over the USA just like me and I know they are happy to.

The tears have been falling greatly tonight out of cheer and in reguards to hope and a deep need for change..Change I hope truly comes that will restore my faith and love for this country once again.

My family members that are fighting for this country have contacted the family and the mood over there is GREAT!
Many, many are pleased with the results and are ready for CHANGE as well.

What a wonderful and awesome night that has made HISTORY!
History that is so very important to the Africian American People and for those of color. (I say it that way out of respect for my black friends and family members that do not wish to be called 'Africian American.')

This November 4th has been so special and it is an honor to be apart of it.
We are all part of this history!

I, too (of course) was THRILLED AT THE OBAMA WIN. I watched the returns on tv and online from about 6:30 until 1:30am. Although I will admit I fell asleep for awhile about mid-way through it..lol.

How long did you have to wait to vote? I have been lucky where I vote--there are never any lines/waiting. I think it's a Republican conspiracy to keep Dems away from the polls..lol. :sifone:

Even though I don't weigh in till Tuesday, I'm not gonna have the results I worked so hard for!! :banghead:

I got on the scale today and it read 192.0

It has to be that stupid med... <grrrrrrr>

I have done so great as you can tell via my logging so I should "at least" be down .5 - 1 lb by now!!

Oh well.. At least I'm off that crap now.

Didn't do one thing for me either!
My vision and symptoms are still the same.

I need to get a 2nd opinion..
I'll search this weekend for a new neuro-doc and set up an appointment.

I'm gonna have movie night tonight..lol..

Hey! Just wanted to say that my Dad was on Prednisone for 2-3 years (he had Sarcoidosis) and literally ballooned in weight. Once he went off it and started a diet/exercise plan, it melted off! So good luck to you, you have a lot to look forward to, but don't get discouraged if nothing happens quickly. It took quite a bit of time for the losses to start with him.

Weight-Loss Update/News:

I have started my ticker over because I feel I had a false reading last week with my 'Day 1.'
I was still on Prednisone and I think it was time for a fresh battery to be placed in the scale!

Saturday was my last day on the meds thank goodness!
I'm hoping it will flush out of my system fast and I'll be able to lose the weight it caused me to gain plus the weight I gained myself before the health/dental problems.

My Weigh-In Day will be on Tues. and I'll check my measurements every 2 weeks.

I weighed myself twice yesterday and then this morning with the same #'s so I feel I finally have an accurate 'weigh-in.'

Here are my Stats:

I'm 5'8 - Pant Size: *Tight 16 * Shirt/Blouse Size: 2X/XXL -XL
(Depends on the material and type of cut.)

Starting Weight: 194.4

Measurements: *YIKES* & *YUCK!*

Mid-Section- 36 in.

Waist- 37 in.

Hips/Tummy (ending under belly button) - 45 in.

Inner Thighs- 27 in.

Glad to hear ya got of that nasty Prednisone. I hope the weight loss will finally start working better for you. That sucks about it not even really helping the problem in the first place. A second opinion is definitely in order, especially with it affecting your vision like it does.

How is your work going? I found out my clinicals this next semester will be at a Nursing home kinda by my house. I'm nervous and excited. I'm sure i'm going to see things I never thought I would but I really typically enjoy the old folks, so I think it will be a positive experience...

Oh well, it's over and you're diligent about the macros, so hell! Weight Loss is a-coming--have a goal reachin week! :D :waving:

Work is slow but going fine..lol..
I'm tring to get hired as a Nanny at this time.
It is time for me to switch the type of CareGiving..
I love the elderly, but the client's I keep getting are mostly "companionship" which means I sit on my rear and talk for 4-6 hours.
I'm too much of a busy-body for that. I need tasks and to be running around..lol..

I have had many great leads Nanny wise but so far the families have been too far from me. I'm sure I'll get lucky soon.
For now, I'm taking "sitting" jobs for extra money while of course still working with the senior agency.

I'm still trying to find a M-F Nanny position though..
This will be difficult I feel bc so far everything has been 35-45 minutes away and I cannot commute that far.
PLUS, the hours have been 8 hrs. or more..
I'm lookin' for 4-5 hours per day.

Ms. Mary is a doll and I'm very busy while there. (that is a good thing..As I stated, I'm too 'busy-body' to just sit around and chat.)

Since she is a perm. client, I was able to come home and type out our weekly routine.. Today I do her grocery shopping and take her to the beauty shop.
Once back, I'll do some housekeeping.
Every day when I arrive the first thing I do is start her coffee and cook her breakfast.
I also prepare dinner for her before I leave.

I'm so busy that once I'm home my feet hurt and I'm pooped! LOL

It's all I can do to take care of my stuff at home..heehee...
But like any working mom/wife - we have 2 jobs...lol..

I look forward to sleeping in tomorrow and havin' 2 days off. :biggrinjester:

No wonder I was feelin' icky/bloated lastnight.

Eating has went well and exercise has been my duties with Ms. Mary and all the running around I do.. I'm too tired once home..
I'm hoping once my body adjusts I'll be able to exercise once I'm home!!
I know it can't stay like that.. I'm sure I'll get used to my new routine and working M-F..

Whelp, I gotta finish gettin' ready - almost time for me to head out...
