Squeeze My Lemons

What's it any of her business anyway? I hate nosey people. You did well with your sweet tooth and that's all that matters.

Her and her hubby probably ate 1/2 a cake themselves! :p I'm so bad...LOL

I'm with Sweatpea and Sammy on this--you did well to avoid the whole cake. I can rarely resist a sale, so I don't know if I would've been so strong...lol

Nice job on the running, and lmao@at you hurrying to clean house so fiance doesn't figure out you're a slob until after the wedding. :smilielol5:

Luscious, I'm UBERLY proud of you for not shoving that whole piece of over-priced cake in your mouth!! Good job sweetness. When it comes to sweets, I dont' know if I have the same willpower. Me and ice cream, we just don't do 'serving size' very well. I stood at the counter with a spoon and the whole gallon tub of chocolate last night. And you know what...it was darn good. LOL.

Congrats on this being your last exam. I know how stress relieving that truth has to be!!

And ugh...also congrats on taking the dump the other night so you weigh less. Very impressive report, hon. :smilielol5:

Two more sleeps and he's here!

Befored I moved, and even now when my boyfriend is out of town... that's how I do my countdown, too:)... although I learned it from a Canadian anyway.

The carrot cake sounds yummy. I was jonesing hard for some around easter so I made a carrot cake with a Barefoot Contessa recipe... it's divinity on a fork. Also, when I picked up my vanilla yogurt at the grocery store yesterday there was a recipe for a "Luscious Lemon Cake"!!! Now I'm jonesing for a lemon cake. I haven't had one in years. Unfortunately I have all the needed ingredients in my kitchen which makes it even harder to resist just popping one in the oven.

Congrats on your last exam. It's always very exciting to realize you never have to do something again unless you want to.

Have fun with the fiance.... I hope we see you less because you're getting some!

So, I am still alive, guys. I have returned home to good 'ol mom and dad's for the summer. I called up my mom the other day and told her to have steak ready. This is of immense importance to a daughter returning back to Alberta!!! Sure enough the woman came through for me. Man, it was good. My sister baked a lemon meringue pie. Oooh, even better. This will not keep happening or else I am going to be super fat soon!

I will update my ticker soon. I have gained a pound, when I weighed myself on Thursday. I am sure it is even more now. Not to mention that TOM has showed up, so this is definitely not helping matters. I've had my fun, so now I'm going to work my ass of until this Thursday's weigh-in.

I ran last night. My ass was supremely whipped. It was tougher than hell. The combination of too much food, cramping from TOM, and not having run since Tuesday made it a really sucky time.

Exciting news: I tried on THE DRESS, as soon as I got home. It looks awesome. The 10lbs loss really shows. It laces up way tighter than before. I'm not sure what is going to happen when I loose the next 12lbs. We might have to bring in the sides a bit. My mom is an amazing seamstress so she'll do it. She doesn't seem worried, even though I was a bit. Honestly, the way the dress looks now, I am pretty damn happy.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend and I'll duck into your diaries really soon!

Yay, I'm so excited. You are going to be one sexy hot thang in that dress when you wear it, even if you have to take it in a little. =)

I read that your running pattern is going to change, and I'm so glad you are listening to your body and adjusting to make it fit. That's what it's all about! =) GO YOU!

BTW, I'm sure that lb will come off sooner rather than later.

Have a great day!

Hey Luscious,

How good it probably feels to be at home for the summer, especially if you like your parents :) Which you seem to.

That is so awesome about the dress, and for you to be happy how it looks on you now where your at, so the next 12lbs that come off will all be extra icing on the cake (or the lack thereof, lol ;)

I'm with HickGurl in wanting to see some pics of ya in it.

I also saw that you are changing your running pattern. You have really gotta do what works for you, especially since you want to be able to stick with it. Your doing great!

Sam

Okay, so I have decided to give you guys a teaser picture of the dress...or at least how much I have shrunk in it. I will probably post a picture of the entire dress when I hit my goal weight.

The image on the left was taken in February at 162lbs the right one is a couple days ago at 153lbs.

I have also attached an image of the bodice...hey look I have a waist!!!

Hey girl! You're lookin' fab in that dress! HUGE difference in the back lace up. All your hard work is paying off. :hurray:

LMAO@you demanding a steak your first night home.

lol that dress isnt gonna fit you soon! this thread is dangerous - lemon mirangue is my fav, and so is carrot cake :O

So high in cals though! I tell you what i discovered though, try making carrot slice ... same as carrot cake only a slice, so you can have much smaller portions.
And lemon mirangue can be made with allmost 0 calories if you use sugar replacement and put it in a bowl without the pastry or a very thing pastry for taste :)

Girl, you have some killer KILLER curves. I totally love that dress, and agree, if you keep going, you may shrink out of that sexy dress.

I never had a wedding with a real wedding dress just a justice of peace and 2 witnesses. I'm so happy for you! You look fantastic.

Damn, look at you! You don't look like a lemon at all!! Congrats on the dress... I know it's very important... I bet you look radiant in it... is the wedding this year, or after you're done your studies?

Wow, thanks everyone. It was a real treat reading all of the lovely comments after being MIA for a while. I started work last Wednesday and I haven't had a chance to get on here.

I weighed in at 151.8 last thursday, which was a wonderful feeling considering that I ate well over 3000 calories the Saturday before. Whew!

Let's see... thurday, friday, and saturday were complete diet disasters. I went to two parties that involved cake and ice cream. On the other day I found my fiance's cracker stash. Oh how I love crackers. I can't let that happen again. I'm really cutting back now for the rest of the week to try to regain some ground. I've really got to get my butt going on the treadmill too. I did a 25min run last night and a 60min walk with incline tonight. Fingers are crossed for this thursday. I was really hoping to get into the 140's by May 1. Not sure if I'll quite make it. This month hasn't been the greatest.

Oh and...haha... there's nothing like being back in beef country. I had steak 3 times last week! I enjoyed every bite!

Hope you all have a great week. Hopefully I will be able to get on here sooner than last time.

LIZ: Good idea on the carrot slice and sugar free lemon meringue. They are my favorites too. We have a lemon yogurt that is pretty good. Its not a real replacement, but its pretty damn good.

TASHA: A friend of mine had a real low-key wedding and didn't get a real wedding dress. She was disappointed about missing out on it. I have told her that the gals and I are going to take her out dress "shopping" so that she can at least have some of the fun!

hey luscious,

Thanks for stopping by my diary and cheering me up a bit. I will try to find us some miracle grow to baste ourselves in so that we may finally be blessed with a thicker skin so no one can ruin our day again, lol...

Steak 3 times in one week sounds awesome. I almost have you tied for last week, I had it twice but, one of the times it was cut up into strips in a salad, does that still count?

You look great in that dress. All your hard work is definitely paying off ;)

-Sam

Mmmmmm...steak....:drool5:

Being Canadian, are you a rabid hockey fan? I just finished watching the Red Wings beat the Avs to move up 3-0 in the series. :hurray:

Nice job with the workouts. Best wishes hitting the 140s by May 1st. :)

I just saw the dress pics - sorry a little late! IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

We are both shooting for the 140's in May!!!! I know you will be there a bit sooner than me, but I am sure we can both do it!!!!

You'll be there by May 1st (I just know it!), and hopefully I will be there with you by mid-May. I was 155.4 this morning, so I think mid-May is enough time for me to get there!

Damn, girl you are just leaving me behind in the dust. Congrats on your 151.8 weigh in last week. I hope I see some results tomorrow. But TOM is here and he's hitting hard so, I've been in bed most of the day. :( Good luck on your weigh in tomorrow.

Guess what guys.....Its May 1 and I have broke into the 140's!!!! I am 149.8lbs. I lost an entire 2 pounds last week despite my cracker raid last Saturday. I worked my ass off on the treadmill this week and cut calories back even more than usual to take up the slack. I've been grinning like a slack-jawed yokel all day and I don't care. I have longed to see that 4 for soooo long. Finally I have dipped into the 140's paradise!!! WoooHooo!!!!

I have to say that I work for the greatest place in the world. I just got invited to the lady's spa day that my company puts on for the women at work. Its no little junky affair either. Work will cover up to $225 of spa services and pay for a dinner theater in the evening! This is ridiculously incredible. My previous job didn't even pay overtime. LOL. I have booked a full manicure and pedicure, complete with paraffin wax treatment, and a mud bath. I haven't even ever had a manicure before. I am so excited. I decided to do the mud bath because it seemed like the most ridiculous thing I could possible go for. It's making me kill myself laughing! I mean if I'm going to go to the spa, I might as well go all out.

SAMMY--yes steak in a salad definitely counts! Thanks for stopping by.

Kimmy-- hockey...is that the game with men on skates with sticks pushing a little black thingy on the ice? I think I am one of the very few non-hockey fans in the country. My man is a major fan. He used to play hockey 3 times a week during winter. We are definitely going to need two TV's!!! :D

TYLY- You have smoked those 150's! It seems like yesterday that you were just breaking into them! The running must be giving you a boost!

TASHA- My weight numbers maybe lower, but you are definitely building muscle more than me! I need to up my workouts and intensity. I am nowhere near getting up to 6.0m/h I have only graduated to 5.0 yesterday. I need to add weight training in, because I need good shoulders, arms, and back for my dress (an my vanity).

Hope everyone has a fabulous Friday!!
