Squeeze My Lemons

Oh I feel for you. I've had those kind of days. Take some time and relax. Maybe a nice hot bath?

I think today is going to be one of those aggravating kind of days. I can feel it already. I want to eat...not just eat...stuff...gorge...eat my friggin' face off. I'm holding back and I'm not going to give in. I'm locking myself in my house and I'm going to get some work done. This is probably why I want to eat so much. As soon as I try to nail myself down and finish all the things I haven't, I want to avoid it by eating. Not going to happen...not going to let it. I'll probably have to go to bed early, before the really nasty munchies hit. Evenings are a bad time for me.

TV is completely annoying me. There is nothing good to watch or even have on in the background as I work on my stuff. I have come to believe that TV stations are chauvinistic. On weekend they fill the airwaves with sports and poker for the guys and not much for the girls. This way the guys can kick back and relax while the girls are forced to catch up on the week's housework out of sheer boredom. Yet, another conspiracy...

I love this post and I'm inclined to agree with it. Although, I must say I have a tendency to watch 'Mystery Diagnosis' on the weekends. Thankfullly the Discovery Health Channel knows what I like.

I too, have a proclivity for waking up feeling like I want to gorge my face off. Thankfully, my coffee and bowl of cereal tampers down my appetite.

If you get too hungry throughout the day, I recommend tea. I especially like black and orange pekote tea. I use Stevia to sweeten it. It's an all natural sweetener made out of an Indian leaf. It's not necessarily inexpensive, but it's certianly worth the 9 dollars for a box of packets.

I hope you've had/are having a good weekend!! Big hugs to you Luscious!!

I feel exactly like you feel today. :( It's been terrible trying to get all this school work done, and I'm no where near finished. Oops. I have an appointment sometime tomorrow, but have no idea what time, so I'm screwed. Oops. Guess I'll have to run in to the college early and then go back later in the day, not sure. Oh well.

Hope you didn't eat the fridge like I did. It's been terrible for me! =(

About the appointment: been there done that...many times.

Luckly, I managed not to eat the fridge. There wasn't a whole lot of tempting things in there thank goodness. Except some beer... a case I bought in December that I am still nursing. It wasn't a kind I particularly liked that much so it sits there because its not much of a lure. Its not a case of my iron-clad will (which doesn't really exist).

Yes a bath would be wonderful. It is my third most favorite thing to do:

1) Procrastinate
2) Sleep
3) Soak in the tub with a book.

Thanks for the compliment on the hair. Needless to say, it no longer looks nearly as good. That picture was taken right after the salon... I will never get that exact look again ever. Its still nice, though.

Unfortunately, I only have very basic cable. My parents have a satellite, so I was very spoiled while I was still with them. I love Discovery Channel of any variety. Diagnosis Murder is awesome, but its been a while since I've watched it. The one redeeming note to my cable system is that there is a ton of law and order on. I love all three series. By far, they are my favorite shows in the world.

Mmmm...tea sounds good. Tea AND a bath AND a book sounds heavenly! I think I might have a bit of time left to do it. Its 11:26 here, but since I'm not going to class tomorrow, I have all the time in the world.

I stuck it out kids. I managed to stay right in my calorie range and fought off those nasty urges. I went out for a run this evening and it was wonderful. I love going out in the dark. Its so much more fun. I can wear my bright red fleece pants without looking like too much of a dork because no one else is out.

What made it even better tonight is that some of the cherry species have started blooming. Nothing is quite like the smell of cherry blossoms at night. Back home, its too cold to grow the ornamental cherry trees, so I've got to enjoy them all I can while I'm here. There's a for Vancouver that tracks where cherry blossoms are blooming in the city so that you can go see them. I've noticed that the ones that I saw haven't been marked yet, so I should report them. I need to go during the day so I can identify the variety. They might just be 'Akebono' Yoshino cherries, but I couldn't tell in the dark. Yes, I am a big plant nerd! In case you're interested in little bits 'o knowledge. Cherry blossom viewing has a very old history in Japan. Its called "Hanami". It is the enjoyment of the beauty flowers, more notably cherry blossoms. Entire festivals, tours, parties (you name it) in Japan are devoted to this custom. When hanami happens at night it is called "yozakura". Japan is THE place to be during cherry blossom season.

Okay, now I'll quit being such a nerd for a while.

That sounds amazing!

You fought the urges to eat, and then you ran in the dark with the air full of cherry blossoms! How nice!

I love nature too, Luscious and the cherry blossom viewing sounds like it would be 'up-there' on my list of things I'd enjoy. I love laying on my trampoline in the spring/summer and staring at the stars for hours. Cherry trees are one of the most beautiful types of tree in my opinion. They just make me happy!

How far did you run yesterday? If I started, I'd have to go for at least four miles.

I'm such a newbie, so I only made 2.78K or 1.73 miles on the couch to 5k plan. I didn't die so I guess thats a good sign. LOL.

Well that's always a plus!

1.73 miles is nothing to sneeze at. Before you know it you will be doing 5K in your sleep!

Touche. When I was a newbie at running, I could only go .75 in a half hour. How terrible is that, right? LOL.

Congrats on going as far as you did. You'll be able to pull out two in no time.

I finished Day 1 of Week 3. It was great...I didn't find it too difficult at all. I'll try to push it a bit further next time. I didn't have my pedometer so I haven't figured out how far I went. I'll update my mileage later. I think that running in the evenings is my thing. I really enjoy being out late. So far it hasn't affected my sleeping, yet and I'm in a safer residential neighborhood, so it not too bad being out in the dark.

Yey! Look at you, you're turning into a fellow runner/jogger. Way to go, chica! I wish I lived near a safe residential neighborhood. I live on the top of a hill, and pavement close by is hard to find. In the summer though, I'll probably run out on the turf in my backyard. I ran a track into the grass last year. It got so bad my brother started complaining and told me to take my exercise elsewhere. That's when I found the wonders of my treadmill. Haha.

Way to be impressive, Lemon. Good luck keeping this up!! Big hugs!!

I was so excited today (not only about the weigh-in). I had to kill some time while I was waiting for the bus so I went into a dress shop. I tried on five dresses...guess what... four of them FIT and they were all beautiful. This is big news... it used to be an issue of whether or not something fit, not whether or not it was one I really loved. I've got options now! The one dress that didn't fit was because it was too small in the boobs...NOT THE BELLY!!! I am proud of myself not only because pretty dresses now fit me, but also because I left without buying one. LOL. It was tempting. It used to be an issue that when I actually found something that fit good, I had to buy it because chances are that if I looked later I would find anything decent. Oh baby, summer dress shopping is going to be fun this year! I have a wedding to go to in July, so I was tempted to buy one of the ones I tried on. Then it hit me... I will probably be at least 15lbs lighter by then. Think of how much more fun it will be if I wat!!! Not too mention the stores that I used to not even bother going into because everything was too small. Those doors are busting open this summer!

All I have to say is:

156.2

WOO HOO!!!!

OMG That's awesome!! I'm so proud of you! We are still head to head on this weight loss stuff. I bet you are seeing a difference in the way your clothes are fitting too huh?

OMG. That's so awesome, and you just reminded me of a dress that I wore on our cruise almost 10 lbs ago that I have to try on and see how it fits now. I'm hoping it'll fit much better now. =)

I'm so proud of you girl. All this hard work is really paying off!! YAY!!!!
