Sophies diary

Oh well we all have days like that you knwo the drill - pick yourself and do better tomorrow - try to get something helathy in - Ive had a fair amount of unhealthy days liek not binging or bad or anyhitng just not eatign as much fruit and veggies as usual...Congrats on yor A and Im wishin you well on your race thingy :D:D:D

BAD GIRL! Ice cream won't get you round ur race! Sounds like you need a good dinner to make up for the junk food :) Some pasta or something is usually good the day before a race! Don't sabotage yourself Sophie. I have done that too many times. Okay lecture over ;)

Good luck for tomorrow! That sounds pretty exciting!

So baseball is quite different now but basically it's hitting the ball and running round the bases. It's evolved quite a bit but the basics are there I think. I've only been to see one baseball game while I have been in the states but it was a lot of fun!

well both cricket and baseball are exotic in my country lol...we like old fashioned soccer :D
so M is right...you've bad enough for today :D but i'm sure you'll do a great race tomorrow.

Lena

thankyou m2m a good scolding from the forum mother has done the trick :)
and i know youre right guys. i have banished the ice cream and cookies from my sight. i will probs go over calories today due to wanting to have a decent meal tonight so i perform well tomorrow. but hey i will learn from my mistakes. i wont let this this slip up spoil it all. tomorrow is the beginning of a fresh week!
have you never seen cricket then lena?

Well, I have no problem with ice cream or cookies - especially when they're planned for - but if it makes you feel off before a race, then it's not worth it!

I love the feeling of being in control - (yeah, I'll admit it, I am a control freak!) and eating impulsively leaves me feeling out of control.

Good luck tomorrow - I hope you do GREAT and enjoy today :D

Well it's good to allow yourself a treat so maybe the treats and then a good meal tonight will make you feel happy and help you kick some butt on the race! :)

yeah - i know how you mean m2m. i feel really out of control. its awful. i must have doubled my calories today and it totally wasnt worth it. i feel awful and unhappy. i hope this will be my last binge for a while. i really need to be strong and use the will power.
tomorrow is weigh in day and i dont want to weigh in because i know i will have gained . i have eaten below what is supposedly is my maintenance guideline but i reckon i will have put on a few pounds.
im also worried because i am going to paris on thrusday until sunday evening and the group i am going with have all opted to eat out for lunch and for tea every day. worry number 1 is that i might end up eating hideous amounts of hidden calories worry number 2 is that i wont be getting my daily sport in and worry number 3 is that my bank account will be totally drained
i want my mom to come home :(

oh i've seen it but i don't think anyone in my country plays it lol

oh sweety don't feel like that...you'll have a great time in paris. you'll be walking so much that that will be your sport. just inside louvre you'll be able to walk for hours and hours and hours :D if you're up to it, go to the top of Eifell tower by steps...that will be some workout :D trust me you'll burn all the calories. as for food, i don't know about you but i'm not too keen on french food, i prefer italian. but i've been only to south of france, not in paris. but my friend was there, and i have some friends who live there (at least i think they still do lol) - you won't have time to eat.

as for bank acount...well paris is expensive...you'll have to pay for visiting all those wonderful places, but they're so worth it :D
hey...life is beautiful...enjoy it...you have only one...girl you're going to paris :D that is one thing i doubt you'll regret.

hugs, lena

Sophie, that is GREAT news about your exams!! That is so awesome!

I'm hoping to also get some good news when I hit the classroom again about my exam and paper that I had to do! So, how much running have you been doing lately? Did you ever start conquering those hills?

You would have loved the cabin we stayed in, there were plenty of hills to sprint up. On my run, I ran up to a specific mark feeling the burn on my legs, and walked the rest of the way to the cabin. It was great, my friends were impressed. LOL!!!

well both cricket and baseball are exotic in my country lol...we like old fashioned soccer :D
so M is right...you've bad enough for today :D but i'm sure you'll do a great race tomorrow.

Oooh soccer... soccer players just have the best legs ever... of any sport anywhere.. I could watch soccer games for hours :)

Oh Sophie, you sound so down :( Keep your chin up. Don't keep regretting what's been done. Just focus for your race tomorrow. I know you'll do well! when do your parents get back? And if all else fails, cheer yourself up thinking about soccer players - like Mal says, they all have terrific legs ;)

haha mal :) i prefer rugby
a more manly sport
but i wouldnt say no to a footballer either
so im feeling a lot more cheerful this week - my mommy is back :p
and i have eaten healthy today. i have gained a few pounds this week but am going to change that by eating the right amount of cals this week. no cheating.
and im so glad you had a lovely time photo - that is so awesome - im sure you will do fab in your exams.
so my race today was part of a series of races called fcc (future champions cup)
now because i have to run 18 age group now because of where my birthday falls it means im one of the youngest in the age group. now to get a place in the FCC final i need to attend at least 4 out of the 8 races in the series and come in the top 15 in 4 of the races. that will mean that i can attend the final and get a ranking in Great Britain. i came 20th today which will contribute to my GB ranking but not near enough to the top 15 that i would have liked to get into. but hey ive got a few races left and i am still young :)
hope youve all had a nice weekend

Congrats Sophie! Keep racing and you'll improve your ranking loads. Like you said you are one of the youngest and to come 20th in such an elite field is really great!

Glad you are feeling more cheerful - yay for mommy being back! I am a rugby fan too :) Although I am trying to forget about the 6-Nations right now :(

haha - england got beaten by IRELAND too - it was abysmal :[
but never mind we still got to watch hot men leaping around on the tv
today i have got my french oral exam and im a lil nervous as i have to talk about immigration in france for 10 minutes in french haha
lets hope i can keep going til 10 and not run out of flow
going running tonight - think i might just do some long slow distance for a couple of hours after my twilight finishes.

arg i dislike any sport unless im playing it. Its just so boring to watch ... :O

Oh ... car racing may be a minor deviation ... so long as there are lots of cool crashes :D

:] i am totally the opposite. i can sit and watch an 8hour cricket match no problems but then if i come to play cricket then i find it well boring. probably because nobody will let me bat/bowl whatever cos im so bad :p im usually fielding in the furthest most corner where the ball never goes haha
