Oooooh designer heels!! Hey now! Are we getting pictures?

Hey I ran a trail race and came in 1st for women! Wish I was running/swimming/biking witH you, you little athlete!!;)

Have a great day and hope to hear from you soon!! :hug2:

Oh you running girls better be careful with the heels. My marathon running friend Gina was having a hard time of it when they were training last weekend. Fortunately, she's a doctor and another doctor in her group was able to diagnose her as having tarcel tunnel which she is attributing to an afinity for heels. Then again as a guy, I certainly approve :)

ahh i'm not an avid heels wearer cannon so its okay - just when im going out to increase my measly height of 5ft2 :p i much prefer flats on normal days
hey Sophie where ya been?!?!

I just decided to do my first triathlon!!!

:)

WOOHOOOOOO you will get so hooked - glad you decided to have a go.

okay. so ive been away for what seems a very long time. my exams finished and i went into a massive sleeping lethargic phase because i was so tired. and then i went down with an absolutely hideous stomach virus for about a week. I felt so dreadful - i just couldn't keep anything down..it got to the stage where i was sicking water up or even when i had toothpaste in my mouth when i was brushing my teeth i was being sick. that was crp because when youve been sick you just want to have a glass of water and brush your teeth to freshen up! I didnt eat anything for about 5 days - not out of choice..I would have loved to. my weight went really really low but i know it isnt fat i lost it will be muscle. I am still having difficulty facing food - especially starchy carbs but am managing. I think I went to about 108lbs (my usual weight is about 118-119lbs)
So then i got back on track from that and started doing a little bit of training again. I ran a 2 mile trail race and beat my PB by over a minute. So i was pretty chuffed. Then last weekend I had Junior Interegional championships in Yorkshire for my orienteering and was having an absolutely cracking race and then I was running into the spectator area on my second loop and caught my foot in some rocks (the area consists mostly of limestone paving) and fell. I dislocated my knee and ripped most of the skin off my left leg. I didnt realis that i had dislocated my knee at the time so after a lot of swearing crying and ouching trying to get up i managed to run the last 2km and still finished in the top 10 and beat my other two team mates to guarantee my place in the A team.
My knee that night swelled up so big. My coach said she's never seen one swell up that big before. My friends were taking pictures lol and then one of my friends put his head next to it and my friend heather took a picture and my knee was the same size as his face. I wasn't allowed to tun the ext day and I was absolutely gutted and i had finally managed to reach the A team and it was what I had been training for for ages.

but shit happens I guess.

Anyway what else has happened. I decided against the primay education course at Edinburgh because I feel that it only leaves me one choice of career and I am worried incase I relaise that I dont want to be a teacher after Ive finished the course.
I talked to an advisor about it and have made my decision to study sports sciences. This is because I love this subject right now and it has always been my favourite subject and I have a genuine interest in it. I can also relate it to the training i do and my hobbies and it also means I can carry on with my sports just as much as I do now when i go to uni.
Unfortunately there are only 5 uni versities that I consider good enough (lol SNOB) that do the course and I have to write 5 down on the application form. So i am going to check a few of them out this month. Tomorrow I am going to Birmingham and I am so excited because I've read up about it and it sounds amazing!
anyway I hope to post soon and I hope that you are all okay xxxxx

hey sweety :D
sorry to hear about the virus and the dislocated knee. hope you're doing much better. on the other hand congratulations for new personal beest and for making it into A list witha dislocated knee...now that is a true sport spirit. i think its an excellent idea the sport course. you'll be able to do what you really love :D and that is rare in this world.

enjoy your day at birmingham tomorrow :D and a big hug to you :D
Lena

I can't believe you ran 2 km on a dislocated knee at all, let alone managed to place so high up at the same time!! I'm sorry you had to miss the next race. I hope you still get to be in the A team though.

What a time you've been having since you were last posting here! What are they saying about the knee/rest etc after this? How are you now? I hope it isn't putting too much of a dampener on your holidays.

It's good that you have broadened your options as far as your study goes after school. You clearly make a massive effort with your studies and should aim to make the most of whatever rewards are available as a consequence.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about that knee! And the virus too! I hope you feel 100%again soon...and take care of that knee.

Good luck with the school shopping!

:eek2: Good GOD!:eek2:

I don't even know what to say...........get better soon????

hi guys. ive been neglecting you all again. i'm sorry.
my weight has totally stabilised at 118lbs and is not moving in either direction. i would like it to move down but am really not in a "cutting down" sort of mood atm and am content with eating loads, exercising loads and staying the same for the moment.
anyway, what's happened...
i went to birmingham university and fell in love with it - it is amazzzing!
i ran my two mile trail race in 12.56 which i was pretty pleased about
my knee is almost fully recovered althought i still do have pretty nasty bruising.
OH AND THE BIGGEST HAPPY NEWS i had a period :):):)

OH YEAH ON THE PERIOD!! I've missed ya big time!! I hear you on the weight staying the same, mine has been also. I work out like a mad women at least 4 days a week, usually for two hours at a time and my weight hasn't budged in a month. I'm losing inches, but I really want to seem lighter on the scale too. That's great news that your knee is getting better!! AND CONGRATS on the good run!! I hope you find more time to come by and post, I would love to hear more from you!! Take care and ~HUGS~

WOW! I'm thinking about taking up running, now that I'm lighter.. all I hear are goo dthings from you guys.

If I had a go again at college I would do sports sciences as well. That sounds very exciting not the kind of field you'd get bored of EVER. Good luck with it!

Hi! It's great to hear from you and know that all is moving along so well.

Congratulations on your two mile time!! It doesn't seem like you let your sore knee hold you back at all!

How exciting that you've found a university that appeals to you.

It sounds like your body is happy to be where it is right now and is giving you some positive feedback about what you're doing. Well done. :)

hey guys
its been such a long time
i bet im just a distant blur in your memories but i hope youre all okay and that weight loss is going amazingly! im coming over to all your diaries in a min to check out what has been happening.
well. whats been happening here.quite a lot. i am struggling to eat again. i dropped a lot of weight very quickly and then was almost detained by my parents and force fed. it was horrendous and ive gained all the weight back and now i am heavier than i have ever been in my whole entire life. they have only made my situation a whole lot worse.
ive been keeping away from this website because i awas trying not to become fixated on my eating again. i am planning on using it for support. i am really sorry i havent been here for you guys. i am going to make up for it so much from now on! xxxxxx

you might be out of sight, kiddo, but you're never out of mind...

Glad to see you popping back in..

Just take it one day at a time, sweet thing, and do what's best for you and your future health.. focus on yourself - and don't worry about others so much... you have enough on your plate with yourself..
