a nectarine slight slip up with a couple of pieces of chocolate snack
a cereal bar dinner
has not been eaten yet but will be one sausage and lots and lots of broccolli
i have developed a fondness for brocolli lolzzz
im sure its not normal todays exercise
walked to school (10mins brisk walk)
walked to work (5 mins)
walked home(10mins)

walked to shops and back (10mins)
ran to training and back (15 mins)
at training4x(4x100ms sprints) with e\ach 100ms sprint having 100m running recovery inbetween
my english is good, but not that good. what happened? is it that work thing so you can't day off. well send them all off to never never land (i would give croatian curses hehe they're really too good). so yell here at them, i'll plug my ears
haha its not work today thats the problem i have dealt with that now. although it was a pretty poor day to be honest at work all the kids were just so miserable.
todays problem/whinge
is that i think i have shin splints
again
and my leg hurts so bad right now and i am worried that i am going to have to stop my training plan again for a while
pfft...legs..who needs them
lol for the gums oh so you really meant shin splints hahahahaha (thaught its some kind of phrase with different meaning). well its probabily because of running. although you run on the field right? maybe you'll just have to take it easy a bit. you really worked out a lot these days, so it maybe took its toll. anyway, gotta go sweat that pizza out hehe. i'll be back tomorrow.
hopefully those kids will be better at work tomorrow.
okay so today i think has been a pretty bad day.
to resolve this i am going to have three february resolutions
1. drink more water! i swear that when in thirsty i eat. i know that soudns ridiculous but i do believe that is what i do :|
2. walk more - instead of catching bus, getting a lift etc if i have the time to walk i will walk
3. count my calorie intake using a calorie counter so i can actually see what im consuming per day
obviously i will use this diary to help me
now i notice your location the midlands was such a neat area of the UK - the last time I was in London for a few weeks on a business trip, one of the customers i had there was from the midlands (which part I don't remember) but I had the toughest time understanding him... How's your accent? and do you use a lot of slang?
haaaaaaaa i bet he was from birmingham. or brum as we call it. erm my town has quite a posh accent for the west mids but we are absolutely surrounded by the strangest of accents. birmingham/cannock/rugely/wolverhampton have some of the worst accents in the uk i reckon and they are the ones people take the mickey out of the most!

thats what i get when i slip up on using fit day for a couple of days.
you know at fitday - when it syas calories burnt in the purple box - do i use just my calories burnt off during exercise as the amount of calories i have burnt off or do i use the basal and lifestyle calories aswell. because i am very confused about which one i need to use for my total amount burnt off each day.

i think i am a carbohyrdrate junkie.
whenver i am hungry i just think about cereal and bread and pasta... and then i cant control my portions with these foods.
AND I EVEN KNOW IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN AND I STILL DO IT.
i best not gain any weight this week i will be so cross.

on television yesterday i watched a programme called the truth about food.
and it showed that somebody who ate a high protein meal against people who ate high carb and high fat meals stayed full for the longest.
and also they have found in new research that people who eat low fat dairy products excrete 100% more fat per annum than those who do not consume very much dairy.
AND
they also found that drinking a glass of water before you eat a meal to try and fill you up doesnt work. they showed it in a mri scan or sumthing (cant remember the name of the scan so sorry if that is something completely diff lolzz) and it showed that the water just stretches the stomach for a few seconds then passes straight through like a sieve. they proved using the same method that eating soup fills you up for longer than eating a solid meal due to the stomach being like a sieve. because the food is mixed with the water in the soup this means that it took way longer for the water and food to get through - whereas the solid meal and the glass of water didnt fill up the person as much.
hope thats useful to anyone..it definitely opened my eyes to somethings.
Hey Sophie...you may have already considered this for your shin splints, but the shoes can make a difference. Consider getting a good pair from a running store that fit you well and match your gait/instep, etc.
thanks m2m yes i did see it and it has clerared up my confusion and yes friday has been a pretty good day for me today.

and burnt off 3256 calories
so i am happy
and i stuck to my february resolutions
i walked when i could
AND i drank 3 bottles of water and one big glass. which i guess doesnt sound a lot probably to all you crazy 22 liter a day drinkers but hey its a lot for me. 3 bottles more actually. lolzz
and yeah 12 pack my dad is goin to gt me some rlly decent trainers that suit me. cos atm ive been using my mums for road running and altho they r decent they r obviously more suited to her than me.
and also i am gona try and keep off the roads now. i cant wait for sumer then i can go on the chase

Hi Sophie - my only advice for the buffet is try and fill up on healthy things first and set yourself a limit to how high you pile the plate!!!
I am bad at buffets myself so I can't offer any other advice than that!

my advice for the buffet: help yourself...but take small portions. Dont load up your plate right away. Take small plate-fulls, and wait 5 minutes before going back up. if you are still hungry... then eat a little more. But if not... stay put.
