SoonToBeMRS Diary....

Wow, I can hardly believe its Monday again! Time flies. This week is the 4 month mark until wedding day. That means I have 4 months to reach my wedding day goal. 40 lbs. So far I'm at 10. Doing quite well actually. I had so many wedding details to attend to this weekend. We met with the rehearsal dinner site. So the menu is set. We also shopped around for tuxedos. That was a tiring event and we still have to go back!

I got on the scale today and :eek2: 2 pounds down this week! Yay. I didn't really expect to see change. I had been stuck for the last 2 weeks. But thankfully, I think I've broken through.

I can hardly wait to get through today. We are leaving for the beach tomorrow! So, no gym time for me tonight as I will be at home packing.

Today's meals:
M1: protein shake with banana, peanut butter and flaxseed.
M2: sf pudding and fruit
M3: ww english muffin with 1 black bean burger and 1 cup gazpacho
M4: light & fit yogurt with strawberries and almonds
M5: balance bar
M6: shake.

Man,

I attended the best wedding I've attended in forever on Saturday, and the preparation that obviously went into it staggered me! Still, it'll all pan out in the end.. on the day when you're so pleased it's all gone smoothly..

Well done on your 2lb loss - it shows steady progress. I have high hopes for you ma'am :D

I might just hold the record for most ignored diary!

I've been on vacation for the last week in Charleston, SC. I really loved every minute of laying on the beach reading. It was so nice. I took a break from work, home, traffic and diet. Yes. I said diet. :eek2: My goal while on vacation was to not gain any weight and to not stress over everything I ate. I did a good job. I didn't gain anything. I stayed pretty close to my plan and just allowed myself a few splurges. It was nice!

I feel refreshed  and renewed. I was actually exicted about coming home and getting back on track.

Today I am officially back on track. I have my hour long step class tonight and then my mom and I are going through pictures for the wedding montage.

Meals for the day are as follows:
M1: protein shake with PB, flax and banana
M2: 100 cal english muffin with 1 laughing cow and 1 boca
M3: Salad with veggies and salsa and chicken
M4: light & fit yogurt with strawberries
M5: Balance bar and banana
M6: Protein shake

1 hour step aerobics class.

diaries don't get intentionally ignored -this forum is just active - and diaries fall to the second page pretty quickly :D you just need to poke your diary occassionally to make it float to the top - you write we'll comment :)

once your post count increases - then you'll have to poke a lot less because we'll know who you are.. :)

Souns like you had a great break!!refreshed and renewed is a great way to come back..

Mal - When I said the most ignored, I meant by me! Not everyone else. I was referring to the fact that I hadn't posted in ages. :)

Yes, shame on you for abandoning your beloved diary :D You know I'm kidding.

It's great to have you back! And to know the wedding plans are going strong. A vacation sounds ideal, especially with all the stress of planning a wedding. I was so scared my friend would burn herself out before her wedding, so I think you've done the right thing.

I'm glad you take a break from everything, including your diet. The fact is you still thought about what you ate, and didn't let yourself go. You should be proud of yourself! :)

I've just got back from my cardio session myself and I'm starving, so pardon me for keeping this short..

Enjoy your aerobics class! :)

Thanks for the kind words Rho!

I'm gonna head over to your diary and catch up as soon as I'm done here.

Today is going well. Glad we are out of trial mode around the office. Trying to catch up from vacation and trial prep. Going well.

So funny, last night my mom and I went through the photos for the wedding video montage. I don't know about everyone else but I found all these old pictures of myself back when I thought I was "fat" boy what I what I wouldn't do to be that "fat" again. LOL. I might have been a size 6 or 8. Silly me.

A girl in the office made these strawberry filled muffins and even included nutrition info. So, the calories were such that i could have one as a snack today. So I get it and basically bite into the nastiest thing I believe I've ever eaten. Martha Stewart she is not. I know, caddy me. But seriously. That stuff was awful. Nice gesture though.

Today:
M1: protein shake with PB and flax
M2: light & fit yogurt and 2 bites of the awful muffin
M3: ww english muffin with black bean burger and laughing cow cheese and salad
M4: yogurt with strawberries and 1/2 svg almonds
M5: Balance bar and banana
M6: another shake.

I have an appt with the nutritionist again tomorrow morning. I know I havent lost anymore weight. So, I'm sure I'll hear it for that. :)

Tonight for exercise I'm going to run 3 miles with the great dane and then do some much needed housework. My diary isnt the only thing that was neglected while on vacation!

Hello you,

I've had a few days off myself (time of the month) so I'm just getting back into updating diaries and all..

I'm glad your vacation went well (although you must have forgotten all about it, now that you've been back at work for a while...).

D'you know, I found a few pictures of myself a few years ago. At the time I also thought I was grotesquely obese, but now I realise I wasn't! I'd give anything to go back to that size...the things we learn as we grow older eh...

Isn't it great the strawberry muffins were yuck? When stuff like that happens, I offer up a silent prayer of thanks and say to myself "Ah well, I guess it wasn't meant to be!" Doesn't have to be true but it works!

I hope the exercise plan has been going ok. Have a lovely week :)

Monday, Monday, Monday. :drooling:

I had pretty good weekend. I went to the nutrionist last Thursday and I've dropped a few more pounds. I got on the scale this morning and found 194.5 :) That means I'm down 11 pounds in 7 weeks. :beerchug: We set some goals. The plan is to be at 185 by the end of August. So I've got some work to do.

Yesterday I went back to the gym. Man I was away for too long. I did 30 min on the eliptical machine and 20 min on the treadmill. I also walked the dog for about 30 minutes last night.

I feel a little tired today. Typical old Monday. But my bosses are out all week on vacation :jump: That makes me happy. The for the day is as follows:

M1: Vanilla whey protein shake with strawberries, 1/2 banana and 6 raspberries
M2: english muffin toasted and light & fit drinkable yogurt
M3: chocolate whey shake and Banana with 1T PB
M4: light and fit yogurt with strawberries and 8 almonds
M5: chocolate whey shake with nectarine
M6: 1 cup barilla plus pasta with garbanzo beans, spinach, red peppers and garlic.

WO: 1 hour weight lifting class.

TATA! Hope you all have a good one!

I have a confession: I didnt make it to my weight lifting class last night. I went home to mow the lawn instead. Its been raining here so much lately that I haven't been able to cut it for 2 weeks!

I woke up this morning and thought it was Wednesday. Argh. That was disappointing. Tonight I AM going back to step class. I'm sure it will kick my arse!

TGIF! :jump:

I am so glad its Friday. I am ready for the weekend.

Got on the scale today and I'm at 195. So that means I've lost a total of 15 pounds. :jump:

I've been to the gym 4 days this week and will be going tonight and tomorrow morning for a step class.

Whoa! Well done! You've lost 15lbs in all - you're obviously doing a fantastic job!

And don't feel guilty about missing a day, not if you're going to the gym 6 days out of 7! Mowing the lawn is exercise too!

Wishing you even more success! :)

I woke up this morning and put my new size 14 skirt on!

For the past several years I have been at least a size 16 if not an 18. Today, I proudly and comfortably sport a 14! :)

So I started off the day well with the new skirt. But watched it fade quickly as I chose to havea biscuit and bacon for breakfast. Since there isn't much I can do about that poor decision now, I'm having low cal, low fat for the rest of the day. Protein shake for lunch and dinner today with light yogurt and fruit for snacks and water, water, water.

That's something I've sort of learned this time around, is how to deal with mishaps, etc. Just because I had a not so healthy breakfast does not mean I have to let the rest of the day go down the tube. I can actually turn it around and find something positive to focus on.

I'm getting the hang of this weight loss thing. Bout damn time! :)

So today I got on the scale and met my July goal. I am now 193 pounds. Yipee. I'm pushing hard to meet my 185 goal by the end of August. I've got some work to do.

Last night I went to a weight lifting class. I am feeling the burn today. The class is an hour long and incorporates all muscle groups: squats, lunges, push ups, triceps, chest, upper and lower back, shoulders, etc all while carrying weight.

Tonight is my 1 hour step aerobic class. This has become a favorite of mine.

Meals for today are as follows:
1 - protein shake with Peanut Butter and Flax
2- light & fit yogurt and watermelon cubes
3- 100 cal english muffin, black bean burger and veggies
4- yogurt and strawberries
5- balance bar and banana
6- don't know yet. Maybe just another protein shake.

Hey SoontobeMrs,

Well done on the new size. You should definitely be proud of yourself! I'm very proud of you! I long for the day I fit into a size 14 (hopefully it's not too far away now)..

I think you're right - learning how to get back on track once you've deviated from your plan is essential. Like everything in life you just have to try, try and keep trying. You're already seeing the results (17lb loss!!), which is fantastic, and clearly shows you're doing the right things.

Have fun with the weight lifting class. That is by far my favourite type of exercise, even though it's not as popular as cardiovascular exercise.

I hope all is well with you. Wishing you even more success this week! :) :)

Rho, you're gonna be in that 14 soon! All the hiking is going to pay off. We'll all be so jealous!

Today is a crazy day at work. Fighting the beginnings of a cold. So Im trying not to stress, drinking lots of hot tea and taking Vitamin C. Hopefully this will all do the trick. I didnt go to the aerobic class last night. My throat and ears were dreadful. decided it was best to rest and not get a full blown illness. Feeling a little better today.

Food is going alright today, although I find myself hungrier than normal. Not sure why.

1: protein shake with banana, pb and flaxseed
2: 100 cal english muffin and yogurt
3: 4 oz grilled lemon chicken, 1/2 cup green peas and 1/2 cup cous cous.
4: sf pudding and watermelon
5: balance bar and banana
6: protein shake

workout today is the 1 hour weight lifting class again.

Hey SoontobeMrs,

I've been away for over a week (just resting from exercise, etc) so I'm only just catching up.

I'm hoping you feel a lot better now. Resting is such a good idea so you don't become even more ill. Also, maybe this is your time to just eat, all healthy stuff of course.Maybe it's me, but I think enough of the good stuff helps your body heal faster (obviously I'm not a nutritionist :))

Enjoy your week. I'm sure you'll do well :)

Ok. I'm back from the cold. I must say I used that cold as a poor excuse to basically become slack. I've had 75% good days and 25% bad in the eating department. Why do I continue to repeat this pattern? Sometime I could kick my own arse!

So today I have officially wrapped up Fat Tour 2007, it ended in a bang as I had a burger and fries for lunch. I havent had either in 12 weeks. It was damn good. But of course, I now have that guilt feeling. I'm just pushing it out of my head. No use in beating myself up over it. So I've decided that tonight I will counteract it with a kickboxing class (which I wasnt gonna do tonight because of a wedding meeting, but now I will MAKE time) and a protein shake for dinner and no dessert for me.

Todays meals:
1: ww english muffin with 4 oz Light & Fit yogurt.
2: banana and turkey
3: hamburger and fries
4: banana and yogurt
5: sf pudding and carrots
6: protein shake

Awww,

Don't beat yourself up - that's the reality of being human. We have up days and down days. The one thing you should be commended for is at least owning up and not making excuses, because you know what you need to do, and why you need to do it.

PS: I still don't think you're eating enough, but then I've always been a greedy cow - you should see my portions! If I don't think it looks large enough I microwave garden peas to bulk it all up so I still get that full feeling :)

Anyways, I digress :) Are you sure you're eating enough? Don't forget you're undergoing a lot of stress, both mental and physical, for the wedding, so your body needs, not just the right stuff, but enough of it. You're exercising which is burning loads of calories, so well done. But you still need to eat... How many calories are you currently eating? Don't punish yourself too much because of the burger and fries. It takes time to get into the habit of healthy eating, so be rest assured you're on the right path. (In any case, it was your first one in 12 weeks, which is commendable, I have to say! When I first started I used to have a cheat day every week!)

I hope today's gone better for you, and you feel better too :) :)
