I never got around to taking pictures late last fall when I first met my initial goal of losing 50 lbs because I had a bit of an 'accident' with a ladder and was covered in bruises around the time that I should have taken new ones. Then with the holidays I put a few lbs back on, which I have lost again, plus a bit more. Since the first of the year I have shifted my focus from losing weight by watching what the scale says to building strength and muscle tone. I have a pair of size 6 jeans that I'd like to comfortably fit into. Right now they are a bit too tight and I have a little muffing top of fat that hangs over the waist yet.
I currently weigh 134.0 lbs as of this morning (started out at 185.8). I used to wear a size 18 jeans, but now am wearing size 7. The bra in my before picture is a 38G, the one in my after is a 36DD.
My measurements are:
(starting/after)
Hips - 48/38.5"
Waist - 36/28"
Ribs - 36/30.5"
Bust - 46/38"
Upper arm - 14.5/11.5"
Thigh - 27/22"
These are my before photos on the left, with my current photos from this morning on the right. Certain parts I think are looking a little too skinny, but my tummy and around my hips and thighs could use a little more work. Too bad we can't pick where we want the fat to come off!
From here on out I'm hoping my progress pictures show more muscle tone starting to show. I can feel them firming up a lot lately, but there's still a small amount of fat hiding them. I will have to wait and see what my new focus on strength training does for how my body looks I guess.
Make healthy choices everyone!
