So THIS is what losing the weight of a small child looks like!

Stacy - I posted earlier in the thread what I've been doing to lose weight. While the number of pounds I lose a week has slowed way down since I've started exercising, I think the difference is more apparent because my body is getting more toned. When I first got married I weighed 107 lbs, but looking back at pictures I think I was too skinny. I had no muscle tone at all - just skin and bones. I think after I finish losing another 20 lbs or so I'll look healthier than I did when I was skinnier because I'll have a few muscles under my skin. At least that's my hope!

Awesome! You've done a great job so far and you know what? I think the added muscle tone is going to look great! I can't wait to see your next set of shots! :D

Well, it's been another month and I took new pictures at the beginning of this month. I only lost another 5 lbs in the last month though, and can't really tell a difference between last month and this month's pictures. But comparing to where I started from - I know I've come a long ways already.

These pictures were all taken on 8/2/2010 and I weighed 150 lbs.

Thanks Eycky! I definiately noticed the most improvement after I started working out, compared to just losing with diet changes alone.

You have been doing a good job. What is your routine and diet like?

Thank you! I eat a healthy diet (lots of fruits, veggies, lean meats, low fat dairy, whole grains) of around 1400 calories a day right now. My exercise routine consists of 30 minutes of light to medium cardio on Mondays and Saturdays (either step aerobics or running on the treadmill), with 30 minutes of hard cardio on Wednesdays (I do fast/medium speed intervals of running on the treadmill). On Tuesdays and Fridays I do 30 minutes of weight training - so far focusing mostly on upper body - arms, shoulders, back and also some ab work. I broke my arm pretty bad last fall and am trying to build my upper body strength back up from that. Plus I figure with all the running I do lately my legs probably get a pretty good work out so I can ignore them for a little while when it comes to weights.

When I started out in March I lost pretty fast (2 lbs a week usually, sometimes more) but lately it's slowed way down. I lost 10 lbs in June, but only lost 5 in July (and those mostly at the start of the month). I had been eating only 1200 calories a day so at the suggestion of several people in the forum I'm trying to up my calories a little bit to see if I start losing again.

We'll see how it goes I guess....

Hey TP!

Fantastic job. I am amazed how far you've come. Soooo well done!

(The pic of your backside says it all in my opinion.)

Keep up the great work!

Oh my gosh I so want your body! You are one HOT MAMA! The pictures are great, keep us posted on your progress. :D *hugs*

Thanks everyone! It's been a long journey, but I'm almost there!!! I can see a light at the end of the tunnel now. Only about 15 lbs to go yet!

Here are my first of the new month pictures with my starting pictures for comparison. I am currently at 145.2 lbs - only 10 lbs away from my goal!!!

Fantastic work Tiggy!

Even your posture looks better! And your arms look like their half the size from before.

You must be Happy Happy!

Take care!

Now that it's a new month, it's time for new progress pics! These were taken last night and I weighed 140.2 lbs.

I only have about 5 more lbs to meet my initial goal of 135 lbs!!!:hurray:

But now that my goal is so close, I'm thinking of revising it to 125. Based on my current picture, what do you guys think? Take off another 10 lbs or so? I'm pretty happy with my arms, legs, butt and waist. I know you can't pick where you want to lose, but I would love to see a bit more come off my tummy (though I don't know if that's possible - it's pretty stretched out from having twins) and a lot more come off the boob area.

I notice a lot more people referring to me as tiny or skinny, but they all see me with my clothes on - which hides a lot! I see how much fat I can still pinch in many areas and don't feel like I'm "there" yet. But my perception may be a bit warped, so I would appreciate some outside opinions on whether I should keep going, or switch over to maintenance mode.
