Slim Col's diary

I was wondering about the 'rep' thing. For ages I was on zero and thinking "I can't be that much of a bad guy..."

... And now I've got a load, so thanks for that Sheryl! :)

I'm kinda interested to know how I got 68 rep in 1 rating?... You clicked the scales, right?

In answer to your question, my present weight is 200lbs and the target is 161lbs. However, like you say, it's more about the way I look rather than a number on a scale. As soon as I lose the beer-belly and man-boobs I'll be happy! Once I get there I'm going to start doing a bit of weight lifting so my overall weight will probably rise again... But in a good way! :D

As for 140lbs, I guess that will make you a size 8 or thereabouts? How long do you think it'll take you to get there? I remember something you said along the lines of 'losing the weight properly is better than losing it quickly'. Well, judging by how you've been doing thus far I'm certain you'll achieve both!

Nah.... if you give great advice or if you're a smart ass like me, people give you rep. haha It's really that simple. As for the 68, it's b/c I have a high rep rating... yup, it's good to be Sheryl. haha! jk Rep doesn't mean shit, so don't frett it.

So you want to get around 160ish eh? Jeez... how tall are you if you don't mind me asking? Also..that's awesome.. you've done so well thus far. Hurry up and get in Onederland with me already.. sheesh... haha Just kidding. Oh as for weight training.. are you not doing that now? You do realize that if you combine that with your cardio, you're going to lose weight even quicker and also, you'll maintain the muscles you have now? Once I really started getting involved with more weight training, I loss ~20lbs easily in about 2 1/2 months. (186lbs to 168lbs.. flirting with 167 at the moment.) That's pretty good for a chick. haha

As for a size 8? Hell if I know... haha As long as the tits and ass are bigger than the waist, I'm all good. LMAO I know... I'm such a crude bitch. haha

Hey, I like crudeness! It people who are pretentious about not swearing etc who annoy me. You know the type, who pretend to be offended at the slightest profanity.

As for my height I'm 5'11" and I'm 29 years old. I don't know what the ideal weight is but 11.5 stone sounds pretty good to me. That was what I weighed when I was 18 before I started piling on the pounds!

The only thing stopping me from weight training right now is a lack of funds. I'm up to my neck in debt at the moment and every penny is accounted for. A barbell + dumbbells would cost around £60 ($160USD) and about the same again for a bench. Still, I'm definitely going to make the purchase in November or December so not too long to wait. The other day I bought some cheap, non-adjustable 10lb dumbbells but they're too light for me so I stopped using them.

So by 'Onederland' I'm assuming you mean everything between 100 and 199lbs? Is it like overcoming some kind of amazing psychological barrier once you get down to 199? Only a pound to go... Meh :drooling:

And wooah, well done on the 20lbs in 2.5 months! :beerchug: What's to stop you reaching your target at same speed? I heard that weight training helps to keep you out of starvation mode...

I haven't done my exercise today because my TV suddenly stopped functioning.

"Why do you need a TV to do your exercise?" I hear you ask. Well, I like to watch TV whilst I'm on my exercise bike; it helps to take my mind off the monotony. Honestly, time goes really quickly when there's something good on TV. Before I know it I've cycled for 50 minutes!

It doesn't matter if I miss one more day of exercise as long as I don't eat more than my daily caloric needs which is roughly 2500 calories. So far today I've consumed 1000 calories and I'm not planning on consuming more than another 500-700. Today's deficit should amount to around 1/4 of a stone in weight so I'm pretty happy with that.

I'll definitely hit the exercise bike again once I get my new TV which will hopefully be tomorrow!

Yes, I know it sounds like I'm making excuses not to exercise - and I probably am - but so what? :drooling::rotflmao:

Still haven't done my exercise. Going to a friend's party this weekend kind of put the kibosh on that. I'm not that worried though because my total caloric intake is lower than my expenditure.

I absolutely will get back on the program either tomorrow or Tuesday!

Oh yea, I bought some measuring cups and spoons from ebay so now I can measure my foods properly. Thanks to Sheryl for that tip!

Great news; I lost another 2lbs since my last weigh-in which was six days ago! That's despite doing no exercise and having consumed over 60 units of alcohol at the weekend.

It's weird because I kind of felt like I'd lost weight. You know, you can kind of 'feel it'. You're clothes feel looser and you feel more confident somehow.

Anyways, back to the program tomorrow or Wednesday. I've got a doctor's appointment tomorrow so I can see if this rapid weight-loss has been affecting my health.

I've been on the booze since Friday. I feel like shit. At least I never ate anything.

Weighed-in yesterday at fourteen stone. :)

I've lost another pound despite not having exercised for two weeks or so. I think it's because my food intake has been pretty moderate.

I really must get back on the exercise program soon.

Today was a good day. I looked in the mirror and my butt looked small for the first time since 2002! :D
