That is so sweet - you and hubby :) Didn't you know that confidence is the sexiest thing you can wear!?!?!! (When you train him to take out the trash, please let me know. I want to know your secret! LOL) :D Keep up the awesome work Kate!

FLUFF- You did not gain one pound in one day girl so stop worrying! I would guarantee you that if you ate out, you are retaining some water! That's all it is... don't stress! :D

well i for one am definitely happy to be so close to my half way goal of 142! nine more pounds and Im THERE! At that weight, I start to really notice how much better I look and feel. Paper Towels, girl, paper towels!

Im going to go ahead and try to walk this morning. Possibly this evening too. My almost daughter in law wants to keep going. Because she lives with us, (long story) she gained weight right along with me when I was still buying garbage for the kitchen. She's lost 2 pounds and wants to lose eight more. Im doing my best to help her. She didnt lose anything for almost 3 weeks but is finallly doing really good.

My son is also losing, but his work hours are all messed up and he hasnt weighed in lately. Hes lost five last I saw, so he probably lost five more.

Sister is also on target, and reporting her walking to be really good. Man, Im SO proud of my whole family! My H, who is naturally slender, has even lost a couple! Ill edit this post as i go thru the day for food and exercise.

Kate that is awesome you've got the entire family in on the effort! Way to go!! I am really impressed. All of you are doing so well.

But I am envious..cause I don't think I will catch upo with you at the rate you are going.. GRRR :) Plus my scale went up a 1.5lb, but I'm blaming it on Aunt Flo.. for now!!! AGHHH!! :D That's ok.. I WILL get there. As will you. :D Keep it up!!
 
PLEASE dont be envious of anything! be proud of all you have accomplished! Im going to have those times where i do not so great, I guarantee it. I just know ME too well!

And your TOM is an evil SOB when it comes to progress for weight loss. I also wanted to say that when I first started this diet, I got a great mental boost because I lost four pounds almost immediately just because Im on a diuretic for my BP. So if I were to ever get off those, Id gain those four right back!

On a happy note, my TOM is getting much lighter, which I LOVE! AAfter a bazillion years of it NOT being that way, it sure is a nice change! It probably IS the change...Im not getting any younger...but Im getting healthier!

today started crazy...had to get a protein bar and water cuz i almost fell over! was on the go doing errands this morning, i hate that!

Hey Kate, chin up! You are still doing really great. At least you grabbed just a protein bar on the run, not fast food which would be OH so tempting!! :) (Well for some of us! ;) )
 
It is so nice that your family is also benefiting from you buying and preparing healthier foods. And, if it wasn't for you, they probably would have never thought about eating better.

Also, good job on getting the protein bar. It can be so tempting to just grab fast food when you feel like that.

"It probably IS the change." LOL, you are so funny! I know that is not a funny thing, but it's just the way I imagined you saying that! :D
 
thanks new leaf and HH. Believe me, thoughts of egg-a-muffins danced before my eyes, but I stayed the course! Ive had a bad personal week this week and dont wanna go into details..but lets just say when it rains it pours! I swear, first it was all the car problems, now almost solved, then more stuff hits the fan THIS week, (almost all financial crap thats piled up) and add to that a false accusation against my 13 yr old son for vandalism(he wasnt even here at the time!) and fighting THAT crap! and TAXES when you are self employed, and on and on and on.....instincts would have been HAVE A BEER! but luckily I havent gone that stupid route. Just the opposite. drinking more coffee than I should. Im hyper typing as it is here!!! grrrrr.......

just breeeeathe......:mad:
 
Aww, Kate! I know how you feel. But I think it's something in the air or the water in Texas that makes us super strong women! We get through it all! You are doing so great and I just wanted to take a moment to tell you that you really are an inspiration to us all!(you silly, silly lady!)

Hey, Kate :) just checkin' in with ya :) Great job on the protein bar! Aren't you proud of you for doin' that! :) You should be!

MMMMMMM Tzaziki sauce! Love the stuff! I like to toss chicken breast and cooked artichoke hearts with it and stuff it in a wheat pita... oh yummy!
