SkinnyKate's Diary

Good girl posting your measurements (and losing!)! I'm so proud of you!
I really can't give you any good food advice...
But someone did post something about tilapia (sp?) and I (like you) am a fan of salmon but tilapia is great and I just bake it and eat it plain.
Oh and artichokes baby! ;)
Keep it up, your positive attitude truly enspires so many of us! :D

hi paula!
you keep it up too!

my physical went fine. My weight there is the same as at home, yes! havent walked today shame on me..WILL walk sometime today, at least my usual three. already promised my daughter anyway.

fixin' to go to lunch, and healthy choices are already on my mind!

went ahead and recorded my meal above, but ohhh myyy...I was CRAVING some red meat, and went to Fuddruckers. Ordered a #5. Half pound of hamburger plain, and a lite dressing salad. I just checked how much cals that is, and its at LEAST 350! holy moly!

not gonna sweat it at all. Gonna bust butt walkin and double up tomorrow on the walking. I still have five hundred more cals left for the day, so oh well!

I FEEL like I weigh a thousand p;ounds right now, tho. oops?

Hi, Kate :) Glad to hear the physical went all right :) I know what you mean about the pokin' and proddin' - yeesh, what do they think we are?!

I love to eat fish, all sorts, however, I will leave the smoked salmon to you :) I like the regular stuff just fine but the smoked stuff always tastes off to me. I don't like octopus one bit - i think it has something to do with going to a japanese - style restaurant. Yeah, well, hubby and a few buddy's ordered an "appetizer" .... of whole baby octopus, squid, you name it! yuck! When he popped the octo into his mouth and chewed all I heard was "crunch, squeak, grind" I almost tossed my cookies right at the table!!LOL I haven't even tried VEGETABLE sushi since! LOL

I am not sure what origin Kashi is... I like it for all sorts of things though. I even make a low - fat "rice" pudding with it and it works really well.

You are doing so good! Keep it up! :D

dont plan to walk until after my physical, that I had to reschedule for today. Kinda nervous about it, (I mean, what woman just LOVES to hook her ankles up in stirrups and say AH! hehe):D

Doc... "here, hun, let me poke your insides with THIS hand while I prod your belly with THIS hand, and while we're at it Im sticking my FOOT here for good measure and my other foot riiiiight thar". Yall know what I mean!:p

seriously i like my doc, i just havent had a physical in years and dontwanna know what they find. gulp.

LMAO! You're so funny. I haven't gone in for a tune up in a couple of years. I really need to go. I just had such a horrible experience last time with the stirrups and that "tool" they use to crank things open to check your oil. Put it this way, they used a metal one instead of a plastic one. It was cold so the doc got the bright idea to run it under some hot water to "warm it up." Well, I can't say I've ever experienced anything quite so painful. I screamed because she burnt me. I haven't been back since. Glad to hear yours went ok though. I guess I should go back in. I'm terrified though. Had a friend go in last month and actually got cut with that same tool. Doc tried to play it off that "spotting would be normal" for a few days. yeah right!

Way to go on those lost inches! Looking good sista!

THAT SOB! ohhh, you POOR THING!

about to hit pavement, had to buy groceries. got me some talapia? (the fish) and some Kashi cereal. couldnt find anything else.

need to do a hard three this morning. grr..retaining water this morning, so apparently not drinking enough, yet.

when Im on the go, and starving to death, i get protein bars. got a LUNA which was close to 200 cals. not too bad!

hey paula, when u see this, i got a band! dnt know if its the right kind, i found a cheapie one for like seven bucks, with a handle.

will put my walk and food later..

Hey Kate.. not sure I'll be posting any updates with the way my weekend is planned, so I just wanted to wish you a great one!! :) I'll try and catch up with everyone on Monday. b utI am sure you'll be doing great!! :D

had a Great GREAT workout. but my fingers are like little icicles hitting the keyboard. owie.:( Im sweaty as ever, but now Im cccccold!brrr.

3 Miles...fast.
ten stairs sets FAST

catching up on water..realized I didnt have my whole gallon yesterday cause kids got into it...wonder how hard it would beto put a 240 pound grown man (my son) over my knee....grrrrr.."Ill make you holler like that dude on the David Spade NO! commercials, BOY!" Believe me, we can still reduce our grown kids to tears if we have to...

Luna bar 200 cals
more in a minute, Im hungry...
chicken salad 200
400 cals @1:30pm
yikes four beers 400
WW pizza 350
chicken breast 100
handful kashi cereal 50

cheat day kinda fun, but what im proud of is that i COULD have gone much worse! the beer made me retain water, but can fix that over the weekend. also USED to eat lots of crap with beer, but made all wise choices! will not drink beer though until next ten is gone. hoping it wont mess up Monday's weigh in. If so, well...back on track so not gonna sweat it.

Hey Kate. Sounds like things are going great with you. A gallon of water a day?? Wow! I am really impressed. I have been really trying to do better with the water, but I am no where near that much.

I am glad to hear we can still generate those tears when our kids get big. My son is only 9, and I found the quickest way to bring him to tears is to take away his Gameboy. Last time I had to take it away, I hid the darn thing so he couldn't find it. But then, I couldn't remember where I hid it. Took me several days of looking to find it again. I think I ended up punishing myself. lol.

Have a great weekend! :)

Oh good! I'm glad you reminded me! As soon as my preschool class is over, I'll get right on your workout and get it to you today for sure!

I know exactly what u mean! with five of em in the house, four teenagers, Ya gotta get creative, for sure.

Good to see u fluff! Im ready for that rain tonight, 100 percent chance! how bout u?

Okay here ya go!
I was going to give you my old routine but I was having a hard time figuring out how I was going to explain the exercises to you without being there to show you. Then I ran across this and it's perfect because it has pictures. If you don't have an exercise ball, you can just use a chair. I would recommend you do 3-4 sets of 15-20 reps, 2-3 times a week. This should help give you some definition without adding any bulk. 20 reps is a lot so, with the band you have, if you feel like you could do more, I would tighten the band or get a thicker one. Let me know if you have any questions or need me to give you some different options! Good luck! :D

Yep...we got a good chance of rain too down here. My yard needs it too. All my plants look pathetic. They have their little tongues hanging out...real sad. I would water them, but it takes so much darn energy to drag the water house all around the house. When I buy plants now, I only buy the ones that can survive without much water....they are the only ones that have a fighting chance to live in my yard. lol.

Hey Kate,
I'm going to start that workout I gave you on Monday. I just keep thinking about how nice and toned those bands made me! :D

Anyway, hope the rain stops so you can get outside. We got a lot of snow yesterday and it's supposed to snow on and off 'til Tuesday. :(

Hey Kate! Just dropping by to check in on you. You are doing great with your exercise and food. Keep up the good work, you sexy phone princess! ;) :p
