Kate, Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! :D I LOVE bruschetta! I forgot all about it when I quit baking for a local store up here. I used to sit and eat a whole baguettes worth (yup, all in one sitting!LOL). It used to be my lunch almost every day...... Now I won't eat the WHOLE baguette,but may be a little slab........... mmmmmmmm*drool*mmmmm :rolleyes:

Your toast sounds yummy. I may have to try making it. My family would be impressed it didnt come from a box or bag. Nothing like your kid telling you your the best cook ever after serving a dinner of Kraft Mac and Cheese and Tyson Chicken Strips. Someday they will meet someone who is a good cook, and they will look back at their childhood and go -- Hey...I was jipped.

Wow, I woke up and finally got online to find so many posts! Im soo glad yall liked the recipe. Suppose I should post it in the recipe section.

Ive been moving too slow this morning. I needed these posts to jump start my day! Been a little bummed today, because my H's car is messed up, my son's car is engine-dead, and we all decided to get MY car four new tires as its the only one that was cheap enough to fix. Add the gas prices, and pttt. I know that we all go through the ups and downs, and eventually ya look back and realize it just makes you stronger, but man, all 3 cars messed up together? Good news is that my H's business is about to pick up because of tax returns...we get a ton of people who either get their computer fixed or buy rebuilt ones, so Feb and March is usually a decent time for us. Jan sure sux tho.(god, kate, want some CHEESE with that whine?):D

I havent eaten or walked yet...YET...but slept waayy too late this morning. Guess I needed it. I plan on getting the walk done around noonish. Hey, as long as I do it, right? Plan on a good day for meals , too.

Thanks again yall. and yes I will update that list as time goes on...

Congrats on that weight loss !!! I have dropped 10lbs too and sometimes I wonder if it is too fast, but its not like I havent been exercising so I think i am ok.... My double chin is almost gone and my face is thinner. I like that and my pants fit better, probably due to the treadmill.

Keep up the good work. Next mo another 10, right ?!! ;)
 
10 lbs? go girl!! You are doing it! Glad to see you lost a chin too. haha Thanks for showing us how it's done, it is very motivating!

Better update food and exercise.

didnt get to my walk till almost one, but managed a very fast 3, plus the ten sets of stairs again. also done FAST! yes.

Our food is once again low, and that is dangerous. I need to see what money H has for some more. Also slow to catch the water, and nmoticed it the last half of my walk. My fingers get fat from water retention. Shame on me I know better. So drinking it hard now.

pnly 200..hmm..will probably do some chicken when I get back with the kids from school.

oh, lord i forgot...usually i have pita or bread with my turkey....well, bread was eaten, and pita was left. took a bite and set it down to see....a freaking greencircle of MOLD on it.ptooey! blech! yuk~!

So needless to say I got my dose of pennicillin the hard way, I guess.

Just mad it got wasted. I should have froze it. duh.

Hello again, Kate! :) Ummm.. Can't say as i like penicillian taken THAT WAY!! (Well, truth be told I hate penicillan - allergic) but That has got to be the biggest bummer!!!! Look at it this way, you are now protected against viruses brought home from school/ daycare, and any flying infections in the air (maybe even anthrax LOL). If it's taken the hard way, it must protect better - right? ;)

Eight miles of walkin.... Girl you ROCK!!

ready for walking this morning, but will wait a while till it warms up.

You know, while appreciate my H taking the kids to school in the mornings, every other morning, it sure does mess up my day. Im torn, because on the one hand, I love catching up on lost sleep, but on the other, I get too late a start in my day. Eh, who am I fooling...I LIKE sleeping in late.Maybe Ill go for sleeping late, just not SO late! H is snoozin now, and has NO problem with that! lol

Having less stress, as my H the ex mechanic fixed two out of three cars. YES! My son's is still on the blitz, but plan on getting that done next with his paycheck.

You know what else? Ive reached my ten pound mark, and know I can have a good cheat with many beers, but so far have not wanted to, nor had any inclination; guess Ill save it for when an opportunity comes along to enjoy it, and just not sweat it. Thats a GOOD thing for me! That way, if say friends come around and want to get together, I will have that cheat day in reserve. Funny how we can convince our brains on do's and dont's on this journey, huh?

Well, only a moderate walk without the stairs this morning. I kinda didnt do the stairs on purpose. I want my body to stay mixed up. Not even sure Ill walk with kids this afternoon. Five miles for a seven yr old is a lot...she kept saying let's go further! Then as we trekked back up hill to home, she was not so energetic. THe little turkey has way too much energy. Im thankful she takes after her daddy and is naturally slender. The one thing I do hope is that Im inculcating some good habits in her. I slacked too much on the others.

I have to admit, my stern father is definitely the one who put those habits into me. I feel so sorry for him now, because while he can still walk, most of the time, he still has bad days with his diabetes. When I was nine, he had us run a mile a day, rain or shine, until we'd finally leave home. I still remember my sister being a tiny little thing of about three, and stopping along the track to pick flowers. Dad still made her do it, though! Looking back, even tho I hated it, I am so glad he made us all do that. I think its why none of us kids ever got big when we were young.

I almost think my weight gains through the years were a sort of rebellion. Stupid, huh? In fact, I just realized I lost once in the eighties, twice in the nineties(death and divorce caused one of em), and now. Hopefully this time itll stick. :)

Maybe Im gettin' old and wise these days. I sure hope so.

Yep, I'm just trying to catch up with you! Since we are the same height, and shooting for similar weights (FH already thinks my 125 goal is TOO low! lol) I'm trying to catch up to your loss. HEHE :)
