Plan on having a few beers at my first ten pound loss! In fact, at EACH ten pound loss, I plan on it! I miss it.
Gotta have something to work toward! You are doing great! Keep up the good work and welcome to the boards. :D

Officially weighed in this morning, still at 159. So I guess I can keep my ticker as is. I need a kick in the butt this morning, because I feel sick. To my stomach. Man, I cant afford to get sick.

Ok Kate...finish typing this message, grab a quick bite, get your SHOES on, and get out there for that walk. I can simply choose to go fast or slower, but MUST choose to DO IT.

there, my own little pep talk. I feel better now. I think it was something I ate, isnt that ironic? Here I am , eating healthy, and now my stomach wants to be mean to me. GRRRRRRR....

Ok, lessee whats for breakfast...

ok, back again. Just took a very hot 3 mile walk. Stomach feels soo much better. Glad I went ahead and went!
Ate some applesauce 50 cal

I think I know what hit me. That dad gum splenda in the popcicles!!!! It gives me gas and bloating and other 'lovely' symptoms every stinking(haha) time! Guess I will have to forego all of that from here on out. It also makes me retain water, which is NOT good for my BP. Thats it. No more.

Need to make myself something substantial to eat now.....
tzatziki and pita 150
few pieces jerky 50
half gal water
splenda FREE fudgecicle 40
total so far 300
turkey pita 200
total 500 so far
7pm add sugar snap peas wrapped in half pieces bacon 100
found some splenda free sugar free popcicles with only 15 cals each (2) 30 cals
popcorn pretzels 200
a turkey,pickle,pretzel & tzatziki plate 200
1030 total
also had lime juice water and sweet n low for a treat ZERO calories! (yes!)
drank other half gal. water.
add 4 miles more. We went slow, but Im exhausted. It was fun tho, went to the park beside the lake.
7 miles total. (note to self, do NOT do 7 miles tomorrow unless your in the best of moods to~ 3 or four oughta do)

Yea you can buy it premade just at Safeway in the deli section, different brands.

I make my own Greek salad, it's one of my favourites and my daughter loves it as well! MMMM suddenly i'm craving it! LOL.

Your doing great girl, hope your feeling better!!

cheers

Hi Skinny Kate! :D Nice digs you got here *looks around*
I just wanted to come in and say Hi, and i've been reading your journal and you are going great guns! Keep up the good work darl! :D

thank you bedsy. I like that cozy lived in look. :D

Im more than sure that as I go through this Ill have my bad days and not so motivated days. But that's life!

One day at a time. I like looking back and seeing the healthy days and slow but steady progress I do. And to watch others that are ahead of me! and hey, those behind me as well!

Sorry about the upset splenda tummy. Hmph! It is tough finding new foods that fit into our busy-need-to-be-healthy lives. Keep doing your best!
Totallyscrappy

thanks scrappy. I KNEW better, but had forgotten. Learned the hard way once when I ate an entire bag of splenda wintergreen lifesavers! I had gotten addicted to them about 2 years ago, and could suck on a bag a DAY! The best part of the splenda incident was that it cured me of my sugary kind of lifesaver addiction immediately, and I buy them NO MORE!:D

hey thanks for ur encouraging post in my diary! it's nice to know i'm not the only one who talks to myself!!
i'm sorry about the splenda thing, but i'm glad ur feeling better and that u'll know better for next time.
just read through ur diary and it sounds like ur doing great!!! keep up the good work!! one day at a time ;)

redwillow, I appreciate you stopping by!

jess, just follow the ingredients(no cooking!) or hopefully you can find it premade..I just never knew to look for the stuff!

Im doing the HAPPY dance this morning!! You know how some mornings, ya wake up, throw off your clothes after a quick run to the pot, and go straight for the scales? Because you just FEEL the weight loss? Well, I just did that, and I lost......drum roll.....another 2 pounds!!!!!!! I am at 157!

I was sorta disappointed yesterday, what with the bloating and water retention not making the scales move for my official weigh day. Im deciding that just this once, since its the starting point, that I will go ahead and change the ticker. I should really not do that anymore, however, because most folks tend to lose well the first week, then steady out at one to two pounds a week, TOM, and all that.

So Im gonna go ahead and take this small victory and let it reflect in my ticker.

My diet day doesnt really begin until after I get my kids to school, so will do my usual editing in another post and add what I eat thru the day As I go along.

I feel good, na ner na ner na ner na....:D:D:D

Hey Kate!!! Woohoo girl! Way to go on your loss!!! I'm just a 1 1/2 up on you! :) So you are totally encouraging me, we're about aiming for the same goal. Keep up the wonderful work!! :)

NO Newleaf, YOU encourage ME!!! so take THAT!!:D

Fixing to head out to my walk. So weird. Yesterday I walked in my shorts, and today I will walk in sweats and a coat. Texas weather for ya!

Going to do 3 miles again this morning
Started off my morning with
banana 50
half plain turkey on wheat sandwich 100
2 glasses water....goal to get half gallon by one pm.
pita with cukes only 100
coffee with cream 50
fudgecicle sug.free (2)100
jerky several pieces 100
just finished half gallon before 1 pm!
artichoke 25
half chicken breast 100
green beans wrapped in half slice bacon 100 (2)
725 total 430 pm
(note to self. DONT wait so long between meals. I let four hours go by without eating, got busy with kids, etc,, and got really thirsty too. Kate, go by yourself a water bottle for the car. eat every 3 hours, silly!)
sug free jello 10(why even count, eh?
popcorn 200
935 total
9:30 am
3 miles done. check.
500pm did one mile
total one gallon water
four miles total

also wanted to add that my son has also lost five pounds with me! He has gone from 256 to 251. Hes trying SO hard, and is going on his walk now before heading to work. I just wanna cry. Why didnt I do this sooner! I feel sorta guilty that all these many years I didnt eat better and have better foods in the house. Ahh, a mother's guilt.

yayyyyy wtg you!

i think thats great your son can do it with you too and you can support each other!

splurged and got me some decent walking shoes. BUT I got them in the BOYS section! Im about a six in boys, they are cheaper, more comfortable, and wider. go figure.

also went straight out and got me some hair color. I saw all that gray sticking out in those pictures my husband took today for my before pics, and said YUK!

and to think i could have wasted my money going out to eat or something!

thank you so much for the support Redwillow.

Thinking in 24 hour increments is sure a lot less overwhelming than thinking "OH NO, I have to do this for the rest of my life!! " A friend who is a recovering alcoholic taught me this invaluable lesson from her AA meetings.
