AIt's taken about a year, but I took 4 months off. I maintained in that 4 months, though. I used a site called myfitnesspal to log all of my food. It comes as an application on my phone, so it really helps. It tells me how many calories I can eat and so on. It also has a huge database of food, so it makes eating out very easy.
I exercise whenever I can. I park really far from grocery store doors. I walk to places that are within a couple of miles. I put extra effort into cleaning at work. Anything I can make into a workout, I do. :)
As for food....cut cheese and Mayo from most sandwiches. That's almost 200 calories right there. If you can, toss the bread/bun from them, too. I love bread...LOVE it. I love getting thinner more, though. Lol! I still eat bread on occasion. I just try not to eat useless calories. Drink tons of water....which is a big duh. I Don't drink fruit juice. It's super sugary and high in calories. I eat a lot of protein....eggs, Bacon, chicken....mmm. It fills me up and helps me build muscle.

Just don't completely deprive yourself. If you want cookies, eat the serving size. Just know that 2 cookies can have the same amount of calories as a nice healthy sandwich!

Ok, great Ninja! simle little tricks and sticking with it basicly...I like your "take away the bread on the sandwich" thing, just make it a salad! and as for cheese...it has to be one of my giuly pleasures...... i loooove cheese, but im also a bit lactose intolerant >.< i switched to 40% less fat cheese, and its actually great!
Tonight is Zuuumba! I have a new instructor, shes not as much cardio as the old one but i still enjoy it and can feel my muscles more after words. this thursday is the last class for belly dancing, boooo i love it so much, def not as easy as it looks. but im going to take up another zumba class (with the old instructor) to make up for the belly dancing.
 
breakfast- multi grain bavarian toast with honey and a bowl of strawberries
lunch-left over vegitarian chili with chia seeds
dinner- chicken and brocoli and colliflower with very low fat cheese sauce
-dessert- no fat 70 calorie fudgesicle.
 
ASounds great :) so envious that you've found exercise you like, that's always been by major issue, even after six months of running, I never liked it. Ditto pretty much any sport I've ever tried. It's always been hideously hard work to get motivated to do it and so easy to stop!
 
I do the kick boxing, zumba and belly dancing (as it says :p) and honestly i LOVE them, iv never liked working out or anything like that, but after you stick to it and see the results youll enjoy it more! Just experiment with what you like, take risks, do it with a friend, take up bike riding, Hiking is more fun then walking also Just dance for the wii is fun and dance central for kinect, i prefer the classes, great energy and you dont have any excuses.
 
I have to admit I'm a bit too much of a wuss to go to classes, also while something low intensity, such as walking/hiking is fun to do with a friend, I find having people I know around me while I do badly at exercise puts me off. I tried Salsa lessons a while back, but was hopeless at it and decided it just made me too uncomfortable. Think it may have to be back to the gym grindstone for me, sadly..
 
breakfast- 20 calorie energy drink, small bowl of harvest crunch with skim milk and a plum
early lunch?-75 call frozen no additive thing witch had a few potatoe peices, red pepper and peas in a pod with some sorta sauce, t'was yummay
Late lunch?- stir fry vegies
dinner- spagetti and tomatoe meat sauce and garlin bread with cheese whith juice

Not an ideal dinner but i was visiting family and couldent be rude. :) as for exersice im currently moving so i just moved about 15 boxes up and down stairs....outa my house and into the next. i think that counts??? all in all not a bad day.
Im putting off my weight till i lose this 10 lbs i gained! will post when im back to 245 :)
 
Didnt eat much for breakfast as i was busy with kids being late for school and a crying baby that was more hingry then i was apparently! lol
breakfast- plum
lunch-lean cuisine 125 calories, it has chicken veg and rice
snack- 80 call carrot cake
dinner-chicken ceaser salad
desert-chocolate weight watchers cake 70 cal.

Tonight is belly dancing, then afte words ill have a glass of 1% milk. :)
 
I wasnt going to post pictures untill i dropped the extra i had put on over the winter, but im allmost there and i thought id just add a pic, not sure if thers a diffrence but i think it will help me track myself.
 
Been crazy busy this weekednd moving so havent had time to log what iv ate and what not, i ate well on friday and saterday, then sunday...today...family brunch buffet, i over ate big time then this evening a hockey banquet which is pot luck and i over ate GAH! so tonight i feel fat sluggish, my belly hurts and i feel down on myself...oh did i mention im feeling very FAT!? yuck. im not giving up, ill put in an extra walk tomorow and w/e and work my butt off at kick boxing tomorrow. I just keep thinking of my quote, it really helps me...tomorow will be better, tomorow is another day, iv done good so far this is not the end, just a bump in the road of a long jorney that in the end will be worth it....
 
Hey dlove I jus want you to know that you're such an inspiration to me, I like how your telling us what you eat and how you felt afterwards lol (I can relate).


It looks like those weight watchers stuff are pretty good, maybe I'll give 'em a try, I've been looking for some low cal snacks but didn't know what to get so thanks again luv, and keep those post coming!
 
Thanks gettindeere! Wow, such a compliment being called an inspiration. The weight watchers cakes and deserts are SO GOOD! and I think its in the sence that they are the correct portion size, which is something i think we all struggle with when it comes to sweets, they use real sugar instead of aspertame so it doesnt have that wierd sweet taste, just a yummy cake taste.

Breakfast- Carrot muffin
Lunch-Large salad greens, asian dressing and crunchy thingys?
Dinner- Sweet and sour chicken veg and rice. small portion :O)
Exercise-1 hour kick boxing

I feel good about what i ate today, a decent comaback from over eating yesterday. I also felt very very tired today for some reason...maybe the over indugence in carbs yesterday? I dont know but either way i felt like crap today, had heart burn as well....and yesterday my belly hurt....I guess Iv learned my lesson. :)
Why oh why is delicious food so hard to say no too? Its not like its my first or last time eating anything...maybe i have a food addiction? I dont know.
I use to like that feeling of having a belly ache after eating allot, christmas dinner, buffet, w/e but not any more....i felt quite gross yesterday and i guess thats a good thing in a way, im over enjoying that grossly full feeling...
 
Lol are we twins are what?! I too woke up 3:30 this morning with heartburn that jus wouldn't quit, I know milk is good for coating the stomach so I drank some vanilla lean shake and popped a nexium then I took a spoonful of pepto ( I wasn't taking no chances). I dunno why I got heart burn, maybe I'm not drinking enough water? Maybe I gotta ease up on the spices, my stomach is not good for pepper.


I also woke very very tired this morning even tho I went to sleep pretty early last night, I was sooo tired. I didn't want to get out of bed this morning, especially after I went back about 5am, stayed up watching a movie called "coming and going" OMgosh soo funny! Anyway, I read an article yesterday about the dangers of overtraining and fear this must've been what my body was trying to relate to me. I usually do some cardio (warmup) then some calisthenics (appetizer) then I begin my wrkt (meal) this was an overkill I think so now I train very hard 3x a week and the other 2-3 days I keep it light, with cardio and then some abwork which a VERY good friend of mine put me on to which I did today, it was sooo good loved it!


I also started doing some mountain climbers today too, I KNOW RIGHT?! I haven't done mountain climbers in- in.....well let's jus say it's been a looong time due to my bad knees. I figured a way to do them, I used one of those mats they have at the gym and start off slowly and took that very same friend's advice on how to them. If you have bad knees do them on a mat, start out slowly one leg at a time and instead of bringing them close into your body narrowly you can widen your stance to suit you, Iswear that frien of mine is the bomb! So yeah I did cardio today, abwork and some leg work (nothing too strenuous) that's for tomorrow.


My meal today consist of


1 granny apple w/organic greek yogurt for bkfst

lunch is some grapes (which I'm having right now)

dinner will be a salad of shrimp or tuna

dessert will be an asian apple or in America they call it a pear apple.


I'm really trying hard, but I got these hips&thighs that won't quit! arrgghh! (they're the hardest to lose)
 
Bahahhaa! we must be twins. i also have huge thighs and hips. what is your current weight? (if you dont mind me asking) and what in the world is mountain climbers?
