size32someday journal of doom and despair

Hey size32someday,

You really are not eating alot! I'm not a calorie counter, but doesn't look like alot to me. As you know when you've stopped by my diary...I love to eat and force myself not to eat in the evening...and I also love to exercise (typically so that I can eat more in the morning!). You know what your body can handle and lose the weight..so it's obviously working for you with your weight loss so far, so, keep up the good work! Are you exercising? You know from my diary, I do and I highly recommend it! Happy post valentine's day!

Sarah

I also highly recommend exercising so that you can eat more. Because...I like to eat...more. I figure if you burn 600-700 calories in activity you can re-eat at least 2-300 of those calories guilt free...and 2-300 calories tastes gooooooooooooOOOOOOOooooood.

hi Sarah and oldschool. I will try and up my calories a little bit. I stopped today at the coffee shop and kept thinking omg a doughnut would be so good right now. luckily I grabbed my coffee and got out of there. I was really hungry when I got home. had some chicken noodle soup and a sandwhich. then figured out they actually call 1 can of soup 2 servings. annoying.

breakfast - cheerios + non fat milk

snack - apple

lunch - 3 slices of slim and trim ham on whole grain

2 servings chicken noodle soup

dinner - chicken breast

sugar snap peas

snack - apple

Back when I was a young football coach we worked Saturday mornings breaking down gamefilm and prepping for the next weeks game well someone would always bring donuts. One of the coaches would come in and yel l"Who brought the grease rags" It made me look at donuts in a different way.

Reminds me of a previous workplace where people would keep bringing in donut holes and everyone referred to them as "fat pills" which is a pretty accurate description...

would you guys top talking about donuts! Damn! My take on donuts is they are a self fulfilling prophecy. you talk about them and you'll be eating one before the day is out. Also, they make you fat but they leave you feeling empty so the round with a hole...self fulfilling prophecy...donuts flippin suck.

Donuts are crack for fat people. Just say not to donuts.

grease rags and fat pills. I will have to remember that. but I agree they are good. I almost bought 3 glazed doughnuts. I felt like a cookies and cream frap on top of that the same day. it could have been a really bad day.

breakfast - lots of cereal. sigh

snack - none

lunch - none

dinner - 3 slices thin and trim ham on whole grain

- apple

Grease rags... fat pills... glad that works for you guys, I still say it sounds delicious!! ;) Awesome, now I have Homer Simpson's voice in my head and a craving for apple fritters :p Anywaaay, don't think you announced this, put I noticed you've lost like 3 pounds in the last week or so, nicely done!!

I agree with Sparked...call them grease rags or fat pills...I love them...and I have to stay away from them totally! 1 or 2 just wouldn't do...I'd have the have the full dozen...with a big glass of whole fattening milk...then I would be comotose for the rest of the day and feel bad physically and even worse mentally...so better just stay away from those things...and dunkin donuts just put a store within walking distance of the hotel where I live...so far, it has not called my name!

Sarah

Hey Mark,

Come join us all on Brawny's thread, we're attempting to set some weekly goals for ourselves to kick the exercise into high gear. It'll make you forget all about grease rags, fat pills and huge mounds of cereal. (By the way, swapping in oatmeal for cereal might be worth trying sometime.)

AHeya Mark

I can't believe that i come onto your diary after a weekend of 'donut resisting' and you guys are talking about them!!! :smilielol5: We went and did our food shop last night, i was super grumpy and they had choc and pink iced donuts at the bloody entrance, i stood and stared at them for ages before my Mark dragged me away!!!! and then today we go to the mother-in-laws and they were scoffing the bloody things there, my son had 3!!!!!!!! I was good and didn't have any but i did consider it, i also actually looked up the calories content on my phone!!!!

:hurray: :hurray: Yay! well done on your weight loss :hurray: Doing good mate :)

All i can think about is donuts now. BOSTON KREME donuts. the best.

there is a dunkin donuts downstairs in my building. YIKES!!! must stay in doors. MUST STAY IN DOORS.

It seems like you're not doing bad though mark. but just cereal and 3 slices of ham and an apple, in the entire day?!

yea i was trying to offset the cereal so i ate alot less that day. my weight spiked alot these past 3 or 4 days and i think its the amount of bread im eating. however it is really discouraging because i feel like i lost 2 weeks worth of work. I have been having bread in the mornings 2 slices with my eggs that hasnt been being logged as well as a sandwich during the day so thats 2 more. i just dont think 4 slices of bread every day is a good thing. talk to everyone soon.

Nice effort at derailing the donut talk Mark....Never get fat people talking about do...uhhh those things. They will be starting up the deep fryers right here in you thread.

Sooooo....any exercise?

I avoid bread too. I'm not a carb counter per say, but I find that my weight loss is much better when I don't eat a lot of carbs. I tend to keep them around 120-150 g a day, which is less then 50% of my total macronutrient (fat, protein.carb) intake. Higher protein and moderate fats with lower carbs and my energy level is more consistent and thenI also tend to not hold onto so much water weight. The minute my intake spikes up the the 170g or above level with carbs I start retaining water like crazy.

:iagree: I agree with Oldschool...breads for me are instant weight pills...I have to stay away from breads...too many carbs..and for what taste?! Now if we're talking Italian or sour dough, or my weakness fresh French bread...then there is taste..but American white bread (or even "whole wheat"), I feel it's just too many carbs for no benefit...I'd rather fill up on meat or some other thing more filling that will last longer! I don't know if it's water retention or fat retention...but I know that it's almost impossible for me to have 1 piece of french bread...when I travel to France, I just have to avoid it...otherwise, I'll eat the whole loaf...fresh french bread, a stick of real butter...now that's almost heaven...for a little while anyway...but there's a hell of a price to pay...so for the moment, I just stay away from both Heaven and Hell and stay here on Earth continue to inch away and the weight!

the bread fiasco ruined a whole week for me. i was hoping to get at least close to my goal by the end of the month. now there is no way in hell. the french bread does sound good. mmmm butter...we dont get to have butter in our household. we get some kind of fake butter substitute that mimics plastic and doesnt melt. im going to try and catch up on some diaries later tonight. been buisy with all kinds of appointments lately both doctor and taxes.

Wow doctor and taxes...Id rather talk about donuts. (rim shot)

I have been kinda sputtering I either do good eating or do good exercising but havent put both together consistently lately. The result is mostly breaking even.

So last week it was donuts and now this thread has been hijacked with bread talk? In his best Kramer voice "This journal, pause for dramatic effect..... is making me hungry"

your sputtering is better then mine brawny my exercise and has non existent and ive been slipping on my meals badly. so apparently I cant even manage to sputter. mmm Bread and doughnuts. My family had mcdonalds today but i had a chicken breast.
