I'm going to start out by answering the questions in the "welcome" thread of this section of the forum.
How much weight do I want to lose? 112 lbs
What is my timeframe for reaching my target weight? 12 months
How do I want to accomplish my goal? Following the Herbal Magic plan (combination of healthy eating and herbal supplements) and regular exercise, mainly walking.
Who or what can support me in accomplishing my goal? My husband and family, this board, the program itself, determination that this is the LAST time I will have to lose weight, wanting to feel good.
How realistic is my goal? Very, I think. It's a lot of weight to lose at one time, but I plan to break it up into smaller chunks based on weight loss, current weight and dates (Christmas, my birthday, etc). My goal weight (160 lbs) is a healthy weight based on my height.
When will I start? I actually started about 2 1/2 weeks ago, on November 10th.
So far I've lost 13 pounds and 13 inches. I feel different already, have more energy, and I'm almost down a clothing size. It's going to be a long haul, but I know I can do it. I'm going to try to write at least a couple times a week, if not daily. I've got a space on the weight-loss chart to record my weight weekly as well.
One thing that works for me: each week I look at my weight and wave goodbye, because I'll never see that weight again.
