After posting about my weightloss goals in the WL section of this forum a couple of days ago (see: http://training.fitness.com/weight-loss/help-i-need-advice-24973.html ) I have been considering if a personal trainer would be a good idea?
I am a member of the David Lloyd gym in the UK and they offer PT at £216 for eight sessions and £408 for 16.
I am currently 187lbs and want to get down to 140 at least before october this year.
I can afford some personal training but not enough to see me through the next four months. Please could you advise if it is perhaps better to start off with a block of personal training for the 1st month or so of my program or is it better to try and start on my own and use the PT to help me shape my body once I have lost wieght?
The other option is to book 8 sessions now and then go it alone for a while and then book another 8 sessions near the end?
Also should I try to space the sessions out over a full 8 weeks or is it better to see the PT twice a week over 4 weeks?
