Shellsy's 21 day count down!

Hey everyone! Long time since I posted, but not much to post! I'm starting a 21 day diary. You all had told me it takes 21 days to form a habit, and thats what I intend to do! To make working out a habit! So for the next 21 days - which makes 7 weeks of 3x's a week full body routine! Although I haven't been posting, I have been lurking around a seeing everyone Else's great accomplishments! I'm tired of feeling like this! I need this for my mental, and physical well being! I've been very stressed out last month-which has given me health problems. I'm young, and need to GET A GRIP!! I need to learn how to let things go, and not be so worried about what others think of me. No to carry around so much anger in my heart! So today starts day one of my journey! I will repost Monday, exactly what I did for my routine! Thanks everyone for your past, and future support! I can't do this with out ya's!!!!;)

Great attitude shellsy. Stay positive and be consistent with your training and diet and the results will come. I'm sure you'll receive lots of support here. :)
 
Friday 2/2:

Did my first full body workout in AGES!! Here it is in order-
2x12 Ball Squats 1x12 Lunges
2x12 Push ups 2x12 Flat Bench 10lbs dumbbells
2x12 8lbs Military Press
2x12 (30,40 lbs) Seated Rows 2x10 (10lbs) Lat Machine
2x12 (10lbs) Bicep Curls
3x12 (20,15,10 lbs) Triceps-rope pull down
2x12 Sit ups
30min fast walking on treadmill

*I hope I wrote that right :eek: I forget the proper terms! Today is Monday-I can finally walk normal! I so tried not to over do it, but EVERYTHING was sore! Esp. my legs! I was supposed go on Sunday but I was sooo sore! Today for fun I was going to try to make a belly dancing class! But Tuesday I'm hitting the weights again!:D They have a sauna also in the locker room, whats the benefits of that? It looked very appealing, so maybe next time!
 
No real benefits to a sauna room except some nice relaxation. :) If you wanna do it, do it, but make sure you're drinkin enough water.

What's your water intake looking like each day, shells?

Well through out the week it great! I refill my water all day long. But the weekends its not good at all!! I have to work on that!
 
I just realized that the Belly Dancing class is tomorrow night! Which is better for me, but I also have my fullbody to do. Any suggestions if Ishould do the class before or after??? Or it doesn't matter?

Personally, I would suggest to do your full body first. After a belly dancing class, you may not have the energy to complete a full body w/o. But then again, Ive never done a belly dancing class. :rolleyes:

Welcome back. Dont feel bad, at least you're not a Staten Island girl...(seen the MTV TL episode).

If you need a swift kick in the *** just let me know, it only takes about 2 hours to get to LI. Good Luck
 
MTV True Life Im a Staten Island girl. Girls with heavy accents trying to get out of SI into other things. One was trying acting but once she started talking, it was over. Just thought it would be funny, guess not :p

Do LI people have that same accent?
 
No it is funny!! I just don't have MTV right now! LOL! SO I haven't been up to date on my reality tv!! And OMG -I mean Oh my Gawd-yes we have accents!! I get made fun of a lot! Ask Simbl-she has talked on the phone with me!! :p
 
Ya Dasha has an accent as well, it drives me up the wall. Hers probably isnt as bad as yours though, consider we are in Jersey. However since I am from Indiana I dont talk like everyone else.

What really drove me insane was when I was deployed to Bulgaria during the beginning of the Iraq war, it was all NY reservists. The accent was everywhere!!
 
So I'm having a real crappy day! I feel like having a good cry fest to make myself feel better-maybe I'll rent me a tear jerker and let it all out! :rolleyes: Anyways besides that I was thinking since I did miss yesterdays workout from being sore-why don't I go tonight! That way tomorrow I can take the class and not worry about it interfering with my weights!! The gym is open 24 hours so theres no reason I can't go! And hopefully I won't need to cry after-wards!;)
 
Well as much as I hate to say it, I didn't work out last night! From sitting at my desk all day at work, my legs were killing me! This morning they felt much better, still sore-but not painfully! That is so crazy how sore they got! Today is really my workout day, so no matter what I'm hitting the gym!
