Hey sounds to me like you're doing a good job. To avoid eating too many calories for dinner I eat a little more at breakfast and lunch than usual and then eat calorie dense foods for dinner. "Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper." A good idea is to eat your dinner on a salad plate instead of a dinner plate, have 1/2 of the plate filled with veggies (fresh or frozen! Canned has no nutrients) 1/4 with a starch (baked potato or sweet potato or rice (not white rice though) and 1/4 with lean protein (skinless chicken, fish, lean beef, tofu) and then you can also add a piece of fruit or a salad. Also, have fruit and yogurt for snacks during the day and you'll be less hungry for dinner. Space your calories throughout the day and you'll feel more energized all day. If you want to set a calorie goal then break apart what you can have all day. For instance, if you want to shoot for 1,200 calories a day you can break apart your three meals into 300 calories each and still have 3 100 calorie snacks. Or just do the math. If you have 250 calories for breakfast and then a 50 calorie piece of fruit for a snack, you can have a 350 calorie lunch, a 100 calorie yogurt for a snack, a 300 calorie dinner, and then a 150 calorie snack (maybe a treat like Weight Watchers Ice Cream) for dessert. I can imagine it's much harder for someone who has a whole family to cook for, not to mention little kids to take care of. I really respect you girls who are taking care of kids and raising families all while trying to take better care of yourselves. You really have something to be proud of, even the littlest accomplishment is a big success! Heck, I have a cat who wakes me up at 6 am every morning to get fed and I think that's a pain! You're doing great and you will continue to do so.
 
Thanks Fuunkymonk. I find it very hard to figure out the portions, I am very very bad with that. I already use salad plates, cause if I had a dinner plate I would be about 20 pounds heavier right now. I love food way too much. Thanks for the plate break down. I really love having veggies. In my house for every meal we usually have a starch, protein, and a veggie or fruit. My aunt tought me that while I was growing up. We always eat fresh or frozen veggies, I really dislike canned anything. Has no flavor or texture to it. I am a HUGE fan of dessert, I am just having a hrad time finding a low fat type to try.

So far today I have had 800 cals. Leaves me with about 400-600cals for the rest of the night. I doubt I will have a snack or sweets tonight either cause we are eating so late. I used the exercise ball today with the tape my hubby got for me. It was the hardest/funniest exercise I have ever done. I was all over the place :p . My daughter was laughing at me. She did it too with one of her yard bouncy balls. I would love tp try and get in about 30 mins of cardio in on my eliptical though. Do that and watch american idol (those poor people :eek: ).

Tonight for dinner:
2 oz. chicken w/ lemon
1.5 cup green beans
1 small potato
1oz cheese
345cals.

WOOHOO, finally kept my cals around 1200 instead of eating 1800 which is way too much. Off to watch american idol with the kids and get them to bed. nighters.

Another Loss!!!!

I am very proud to say that I did a nude weigh in this morning and I was 153!!!!!!!! :eek: :D , I was so proud of myself and kinda shocked. I think the scale was saying that I weighed more cause I was weighing with clothes on. I'M SO HAPPY!!!

Hopefully today goes great. I am excited to exercise again. The stability ball is very fun, and tuff to stay balanced on. I guess from having a baby almost 6 months ago my tummy muscles are still very loose, but they are getting tighter. WOOHOO weight loss!!!! :p

So now I have 510cals left for the rest of the day. My snack is going to have a be a super low cal sanck. I am very proud of myself today. Why can't all days be like this one. My house is looking great. I love these redbulls. I am going to try on some of my fat day clothes that were loose on me when I was 140 pounds and see what happens. I know I am 13 pounds over that but hey, a girl can dream :p

I haven't decided if I want. to have fruit with breakfast. I probably should have some. That would make a total of 210 cals for breakfast, I know I will be having a redbull for a snack which today will be 10 cals(sugar free). I can notice a difference in my waist, my stomach is still kinda hanging nasty though. My hubby said that you can tell a difference. I am going to do my firm tape today. I have a lotta cleanin to do too. My bedroom is a mess.

Congrats! That's awesome that you can notice a difference and super-cool that your husband can too. I could have shaved my head and been riding an elephant naked and my ex-boyfriend wouldn't have ever noticed.
 
Thank you everyone. I am really buckling down here, spring is right around the corner and I don't want to be stuck in my maternity jeans.

Totalling 1230 calories yesterday which isn't bad but they shouldn't have all been at dinner either. My husband picked up corn while we were at the store last week and I really am not a big fan. Too many calories in a small amount!

So that is where I am today. a lil frustrated but doing alright. It is freezing here and it makes me really cold to drink water. And, it is snowing. So depressing. I would love for my hubby to come home so I could rest a lil but I know if I did the house would be a mess. I didn't exercise yesterday. I was slackin'. I actually cleaned my bedroom. I have a teenager bedroom I swear :eek: . You couldn't see the floor and now you can, YEA! I'm excited. It isn't so stressful to walk in there now, lol. Hopefully today is great, I am going to do my new Firm tape. I'll let you all know how it is.
 
Don't get frustrated you're doing so well. I know how the weather can get to you, it's rainy here and it makes me lazy. I don't want to do anything, thank goodness my puppy doesn't care what the weather is like she still makes me run around. :D

So last night I had a total of 1630cals. It went down hill at lunch, my hubby and I got into an argument that wasn't very nice. He really gets to me sometimes and yesterday was one of those times. Now I know that I really do look to food as a source of comfort. I am really dissapointed in myself for yesterday. But I did do 45mins. of my new Firm tape. It was fun. Very hard to keep up with the girls on there though. My muscles are definitely sore today!!!

Hopefully today goes better. I think I am going to have oatmeal for lunch, a lil more healthy than what I have been eating. Hopefully my hubby kicks the chip off his shoulder. Oh well. TODAY WILL BE A GOOD DAY!
 
It's Friday of course it's a good day. Don't worry about yesterday we all have our moments at least you realized why you were eating and maybe next time instead of eating when your husband and you get into it you can go for a walk or do something else physical you can work out your anger ;)
 
I am not even going to own up to the rest of yesterday. It was terrible as far as a calorie stand point. So today is a new day.
 
Didn't have a great past couple of days. I am trying to fight a nasty cold. And the eating hasn't been that great either. Today I am getting back on track. For breakfast I had oatmeal, 160cals. So off to a good start, although I am really not that hungry from being sick. argh.
 
So soryy guys that I haven't been around or responding to the diaries and stuff. I have been at it with a really nasty cold and it's aggravating! I hate not being able to breath out of my nose!!! So today I feel well enough to actually get up and start to clean up the mess that the past couple of days has made. The last couple of days have been all over the place with calories. I haven't been counting either, the energy just wasn't there. I have a feeling that the cals for the next few is going to be huge cause of all the juice I am drinking. I have had about 24 oz. of juice this morning. That's all. Food doen't look good today.
Is it alright to exercise being sick? I would like to do some cardio to make myself feel better and not so guilty but I don't want to make myself worse. :p
